I've been here three times to get my hair done and each time I've went to a different hair stylist! Dymon's customer service is on point I was in and out of his chair less than an hour and fell in love with my results ! He's very talented and can hold a beautiful conversation 10/10 experience with him and I plan and continually booking with him! Monica was on point with the way she washed shampooed and conditioned my hair. She took her time and really gave my scalp what it needed! She's funny and gave me a beautiful Hollywood blowout with a trim 10/10 experience with her ! Giselle gave me a wash & a blowout and helped customers that asked her any questions she's also bilingual her customer service was amazing I had a great time getting my hair done by her 10/10 ! I came today to purchase my foundation had an issue with my gift card and wanted to initiate a return/refund to my card so I could use my Gift card Alyssa who is the manager was NOT welcoming at all very much brushed me off as petty change I won't be back to this location. At the salon, Monica did my hair and she did a fantastic job. Her coloring blended beautifully with my whites and she's literally done what nobody else could with my multicolored hair to blend and make it all sync beautifully. I walked out feeling lovely. Thanks, Monica! Then... Unfortunately, I went back with my best friend and missed Monica. One of the stylists started talking to my friend in line, then took a phone call and left my best friend waiting to finish the conversation and standing for over 10 mins in a knee brace and crutches while they attended to someone behind her in line. Luckily one of the other staff saw her standing there while the other employee was on the phone and offered to take my friend. We thought that would be good until they sent her off with a straight dry trim, no style, no dry and charged her FULL price. I did my own friend's hair before her going home an hour later. See photos 3&4 for her hair when she left Ulta. Honestly, I was regretted taking her and she was in from out of town. Monica is a something special. I'll be going back to her but I'll not be taking anyone else to this location. ‍ There should be some gesture to reconcile the incident but management is yet to contact us. read more

This place is still unfriendly and customer service is terrible. The lady who checked me out today was so unfriendly. I kept trying to make small talk as she was doing my returns and she did not respond. Just scanned my items and stayed silent. It was the most awkward 10-15mins spent with her. It's sad that people who work here don't like to treat customers well. Anyways I was hoping to update my last review but nope they still at one star. Pls do Something about customer service. Need more positive attitudes. Ps. The associate was a Caucasian lady with glasses maybe about 5'4. She is usually the one who follows you around to make sure you don't steal. I have purchased a lot of items from here. Lately a lot of merchandise has broken security seals or pumps dont work on sprays. Also the prices listed on the perfume display doesn't always match the price at the register. Today was the worst experience. I had an online order for foundation. Wrong shade in package but receipt had correct shade on it. The lady who "helped" me said wrong item returns could not be done in store since the item I received was not in "the system" I knew she was lying but would be late for a meeting if the issue couldnt be resolved quickly so I left. I called the Ulta 888 number & customer service was concerned that the store gave me incorrect return information. Thankfully they made the situation right. You can return or be given even exchange for incorrect items in store. Maybe I should have asked for a manager but why do you have untrained staff at the register? read more

First off, you have to hunt down one of the shopping bags to carry your products in. They are no longer conveniently by the door. I asked why they were hidden on the side of the cashier station. And one of the cashiers told me that people have been stealing. I don't care what the case is, but that does not make for a positive shopping experience when I literally have to ask two or three workers where the shopping bags are and hunt them down before I can even get started. The ghetto! The last time I came to this location they were literally closed in the middle of the day. The next day I called to find out what was going on, no answer. So for a while I've just been thinking this location was closed. But I noticed that it was still listed as open on Google. So something compelled me to call again months later and it was explained to me that on the day I came, they had a gas leak and had to close early. I would give 0 Stars if I could, I drove many miles to pick up a specific makeup product but when I arrive they said they are out of stock even though I checked online and the app first to make sure the product was available.Their excuse was that the online site and the stores have completely different products. Initially, they hung up on me the first time I called, when I was waiting to speak to someone. The manager was incredibly rude and belittling. I thought she would offer up an apology or something of that sort. I've had a family member work here and she said the stores incredibly dirty as well. read more

ZERO STARS The salon workers are rude and disorganized!!! I was excited that I was able to schedule a haircut on a Sunday! I had an 11:15 appointment and I got there at 11:10. The woman at the desk was on the phone and when she finally got off the phone (without acknowledging me for the 3 minutes prior) she said my stylist was running late. She said I should shop for 15-20 minutes until she arrived. I asked if another stylist could cut my hair. She explained that that stylist had a client in "12 minutes". I walked around the store for 15 minutes and went back to the counter. The other stylist was on the phone presumably with the stylist that was supposed to cut my hair - I heard her say "if you're calling in you need to speak with....". They walked away from the counter after putting the call on hold and left me standing there! The workplace drama was more important than gaining a new customer! And by the way, I NEVER saw another customer. I'll be damned if I'll give them my $55 for a haircut when they obviously aren't interested in treating me with respect. read more

Terrible customer service. My poor friend was just in this store and came out incredibly uncomfortable due to rudeness of the staff. Asking her if she wants to sign up for a credit card and then mean mugging her after she politely declined. The staff not being able to find her online order and then questioning in a rude way if she even had one. Mugging her again and then threw her online order in her bag of things she bought in store. There were 3 employees at the register when no one was in line and then only one cashier when the line wrapped around the aisles. We get you don't want to be there but don't make people uncomfortable and mean mug them at a store you work at where people are supposed to feel pretty and uplifted. Y'all hired BULLIES. It's a beautiful, clean, large store. I love it. I love walking around and looking at all the products, and as far as selection goes it's great. However, the employees have disappointed me lately. I had to grab a few things recently, and I only planned to be in the store five minutes. It wasn't crowded at all. I got overwhelmed in the hair products area and could not find what I needed even though I knew they had it. An employee walked by me twice (same girl) and the second time I was very much in need of help. I opened my mouth to politely ask her if she knew where the product I needed was but she would not look at me and walked by very quickly. That was disheartening. I was the only person in that entire section of the store, and there was no one else to ask. I spent about ten minutes in line, but there was only one person in front of me. There were two people behind the registers but only one was checking people out. It was a really long wait for them to check out the one person in front of me and they seemed to be more interested in talking than keeping the line moving. Another time when I was checking out I said "I should have some reward points." The girl told me I did and then proceeded not to ask if I wanted to use them. She didn't apply them. I can accept my fault in not specifically saying please use them but I don't understand why she didn't even ask if I wanted them used after asking about them. read more

It was my first time at this location. I usually buy my beauty items online. I couldn't find what I was looking for and after a few minutes found a store employee to help me. The store has a wide variety of items, but stock is low and very unorganized. The store was busy, and it appears they need more employees. I will probably not come back. They run what appear to be good deals but they are ALWAYS out of the "free gift" promo items. Maybe take down the huge sign covering half your front window if you don't have what it is advertising and teach your employees to at least pretend like they care. This place disappoints every time I've been. I've completely giving up on them and will never go back. If I could rate this place a zero I would. This place was In the shopping center by the Office Max but they moved into a new building which is now across from half price books and target. When it was over by office max I went to it about 3 different times on 3 different days and times and it didn't matter when I was there the staff/customer service was crappy. They are not attentive to their customers and they all act stuck up. Which is too bad bc I like the products they sell. I like the variety but I refuse to spend my hard earned money in a place where they don't appreciate my business. They need to remember a business can only be successful because of their customers. And nowadays where Amazon is taking over...you'd figure they'd be more aware and in tune with their customers. One of the main things brick and mortar business need to focus on IS their customer service. They need to think about how to keep consumers walking through their doors. Amazon is convenient, fast, has free shipping, has comprable prices AND they have good customer service. After several years of not going because they lost my business, I thought I would give them another chance. I thought, new building, possibly new people, possibly new management let's see if things have changed. NOPE they didn't. Same crappy service and snobby attitudes. I will never purchase anything from this company again and those that ask me about this business, I always say the same thing....don't go there! Today as I type end my purchase, some random guy talking to everyone in the store decided to go off on my little brother. Stating that what was he looking at , "little ass kid" if he is a little okay so what! I have no idea what his problem was. So unhappy with the situation as well as the workers just looking while theres only two people as cashiers and having a long line. I dont know what his problem was but apparently he's friends with the workers. They should be attending the customers instead of talking to that random homosexual guy. Was in the Mesquite, Texas location to purchase cosmetics when I happened upon their salon in the rear of the bldg. In bad need of a cut, I decided to give it a go. BIG MISTAKE!! The lady that I was wanting to use was finishing up a client & the woman's hair looked great, but another stylist, and I use that term loosely for her, popped out from behind & said she could do it. She was a young Hispanic girl, last name Gonzalez. I even showed her a pic of the cut I wanted. I thought it odd that she had the chair facing sideways & when she stepped away for a moment I turned the chair facing the mirror & was horrified. This girl should NOT be cutting hair. Not wanting to let her continue, I told her I had an appt. that I was late for & that I HAD to go. The style that I asked for could not have been a more simple cut. A REAL stylist could have done it blindfolded. So if you plan on getting your hair cut at the ULTA COSMETICS in MESQUITE, TEXAS, take my advice & STAY FAR AWAY FROM MS. GONZALEZ. I made three appointments when I got there they said they would not be able to take me in because they did not have my appointments scheduled on their system, they said those makeup artists did not even work those days. They did nothing to try to get me in all they kept sayin is they were booked, yet I saw people doing nothing. They did nothing to try and get me seated, they kept saying it wasn't there fault that they just worked there. Very unprofessional. I've been to this new location twice. The first time, they followed me around like I was going to steal something even though I dropped quite a bit on my perfume and some concealer. The second time, I had my two year old with me and I thought I would go grab some of my shampoo after her gymnastics class. I put her in a cart from one of the corrals directly in front of the store. Before I even made it past the atrium some employee told me (in a catty manner) that I "can't bring those carts in here." I just turned around and left. In an age where I can just order my shampoo off of Amazon, I do not understand terrible customer service. I will not be back to this location. You are Ulta in Mesquite, TX - not Gucci on Fifth Avenue, and sales would probably be better served if you realized that. read more

This ulta is ass. I'm sorry for my language but the employees that work there are very stuck up and do nothing to try to help you. When my little sister tried to ask for help or asked a question about what brand she should get they didn't take her seriously and just walked off to help somebody else. No matter how young someone is they are still a paying customer, so I just took her to Sephora where they are nicer. Ulta Workers are lazy and just come for a check. I just walked out of this Ulta and let me tell you I never write reviews but this had to come out. I was in tonight with my friend and we were in the hair care isle looking at different products. The sales assistant manager comes out of the back and VERY RUDELY looks at my friend and asks " DO YOU NEED HELP OR SOMETHING" as if we were doing something wrong. My friend then says "no, but she does" and points at me. The manager stays where she was(2 Isles away) and yells " what is it " and I proceeded to ask her my question. Her responses was "So what do you need, a price check or what?" In the rudest most unprofessional tone. No eye contact was made. She checked the price and went about her way and never even looked up at me or asked if I was good and that was it. Five minutes later I hear her getting snapping with one of her employee from across the way. If this is your managers.... wow is all I got to say. Was super excited for the Black Friday event since they were having brushes on sale and was told a brush was apart of the Black Friday sale for $10 and of course got charged $30. Not only that when I went the next day to inquire about it they did not adjust the price to what TWO sales associates had told me and were totally out of the brushes that were on sale. Seeing as this store (re)opened in a new location less than a month ago... I would have thought they would be over staffed to support the influx of people, but not so... I arrived and the store was overpacked with kids running around and playing in make up, people sitting in the make up chairs who were not being helped, teenagers talking loud and vaping in the store (not cool)... & to boot, there were 2 cashiers and no lie a consistent line of 10-12 people waiting to checkout, no one calling for back up or support.. needless to say, they need better management and get the hoodlums out of the store!
