I've been very happy with my membership of over 3 years. I have bounced around various therapists with many being exceptional, and have delightfully finalized with Kim for deep tissue and Bea for facials. All of my therapists have been above average with an understanding that some are better suited to me than others. The entry/waiting room is rather meh, despite a recent upgrade. The "chill" room out to be utilized more. It's very empty with most people looking awkward as they wait for their appointment. Perhaps ME would benefit from a dedicated attendant who gets you water and escorts you into the chill room. Largely, and somewhat sadly, the cool room is often left unoccupied. Once you get into a session, it's a soothing welcome. Massage therapists and Estheticians selections are a very personal matter. For me, Kim and Bea are unequaled. I would welcome Massage Envy, as an organization to leverage the individual skills of their staff rather than the existing "one size fits all" ideology. However, it's hard to complain about their business model when you are getting a professional, highly qualified massage/facial for $50 a month. I would recommend setting a "next available" appointment and sampling the various therapists. When you find the one(s) that work for you, then make your appointment by name. There are many highly qualified attendants, but like with everything, you need to find what works for you. read more

For the most part, I agree with Lauren S. I went in for my neck and it was neglected!!! The entire staff was awkward and unfriendly. I really feel like I wasted an hour of my life. She couldn't locate my tight areas even after I had asked her to work on my neck 3 times! Even more shocking is the last 2 times I went there the service was amazing! The owner was there she was so friendly and both therapists had years of experience and worked the aches right out! I just feel like the service is inconsistent. This time it was so bad I honestly suggested I should leave 40 minutes into my session. The reason why I will never go back is because the lady at the desk wasn't cooperative when I told her I would be back if she would grant me a discount for the terrible service. All I got was an excuse that they lost a good employee. I didnt care if it was $5 off I just really felt like I was scammed into thinking I would get good service everytime I went. Im dissapointed. Im not angry just very very very unsatisfied. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

Some idiot male working put my fiancé on hold for 20 minutes to just hang up on him and not even call back when we were trying to book. No thanks! Horrible customer service. We'll go to another location. read more

This place will and has always reminded me of a used car lot. It's a franchise and the receptionists are friendly, fake and inexperienced. They were whispering, giggling and laughing while I was sitting in the waiting area (which led me to believe they were being typical young immature girls talking about me the customer). Not the 1st time I have heard from some other friends they experienced the same at this location. Whoever the tiny girl with black lined glasses was trying way to hard, more so pushy to sell me the membership. It's way to overpriced for the service you get, but I guess if you just go once or twice a year it's alright. The same massage would have been 70% less in cost from Groupon with another business. Not sure I will return! read more

Terrible customer service. My gps took me across the street to the old location. I called 2x and got a machine. Called again and was asked to be put on hold -I needed directions to be on time so I said no. I finally got directions which were no where near the street address on the website. I walked in 7 mins late -maybe 8 and was checked in. Then told I should consider rescheduling cause the therapist has one more apt after me and he can't take him late cause I was late. I explained that I called and the address was wrong (which the person on the phone admitted they moved) and was told well you won't get an hour so. Ok so I am at 6 and the next is at 7, you really mean to tell me I get a full hour? And the next apt is his last of the day. Not that the next client should have to wait but I have waited 1000x for my hair, nails, MD, oil change because someone ahead of me wash few minutes late. Nope- wouldn't budge- so I walked out! Clearly you don't need my money and I am looking for a place to go for routine massages for shoulder, neck, and back tightness from exercise. Not here. Nope. read more

It can be hard to find a massage therapist that can work your neck well. Today I found one. He also stripped my traps. Fantastic massage with John. Came in having some pain in my neck, chest, shoulder and arm. Leaving feeling relief. Great therapist if you like deep tissue. read more

As a guy, it's always hard to make the decision to go to a spa. I'm a hard-head and I know this. After my wife joined Massage Envy and had her first massage, she came back raving about how great it was. After her second appointment, same thing. After the third time, she made an appointment for me without asking, and came home and told me to get ready, because I have a massage appointment in 30 minutes. Reluctantly I went. That day, Sara C was my therapist. She found muscle issues that I didn't even know I had. That simple and short massage fixed the dull pains I live with on a daily basis, that I didn't even know were caused by muscle issues... I walked out of there feeling better than I had in a long while, and I was hooked. Now, Sara C is my regular therapist, and I look forward to every single session. I started off with 1hr massages, and have decided that 1.5hr massages are the way to go. I'd recommend Sara C for anybody looking for a great experience. There was one time that Sara C was not available for our regular session, as she was completely booked up. My wife who is a regular of Deborah F was able to get me booked with Deb F. Again, I'm a hard-head and didn't want to go to a different therapist, but I did..... And, I now know why my wife gives her rave reviews when she gets home from her sessions! Any time Sara C isn't available, Deb F is my next go-to therapist. They are both great and know what they are looking for and how to help relieve the most nagging muscle issues. I don't know about any of the other therapists, but you can't go wrong with Sara C or Deb F. The front desk has always been helpful too, whether it be working with me on rescheduling, missed appointments, or general questions. read more

I have made the mistake of visiting three different Massage Envy locations... I get sucked in with a super cheap deal and have regretted it every time. I will not make the mistake again. You cannot customize the room temperatures and all three locations kept the entire office at 68 degrees, I was freezing. The massage personal are inexperienced (at least I hope that is their excuse), and the unrelaxing visit is topped off with a horrible and unrelenting sales pitch trying to have you purchase a membership. Stay away from all locations, they are all the same. Spend a few extra bucks elsewhere to make sure your spa experience is what it should be. read more

First massage ever and it was amazing. I have severe sciatica and I'm hoping that a few sessions working these muscles of my hamstrings will loosen and eliminate the pain. Today I am so much better and looking forward to my "workout" with "G" again next week. This was a deep tissue massage and you will thank me and your masseuse if you go to Massage Envy in San Tan Village. You will be just as happy and thankful as me. Why did I wait so long.....fear.....don't be afraid IT WAS AMAZING AND SO WORTH THE MEMBERSHIP. I give it 10 stars read more

I returned to Massage Envy and wanted to update my review because I had such a great experience! When I got there I was paired up with a guy named David and, although I usually don't like having a male masseuse because I've ALWAYS had females and though that having a male would be kinda uncomfortable. NOT TRUE! David was great! He was gentle, kind and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all! I will definitely be going back and will never have qualms about seeing a male masseuse again! read more

I typically go to a massage therapy school for my massages because they're so affordable but my recent pain left me feeling I needed more of a legitimate one. Massage Envy's offerings caught my eye AND had a same day appt available! So great! I had a wonderful time. My therapist was so kind and thorough. I had Vanessa for my massage. The 90min flew right by. She was the exact amount of of pressure I needed. My one complaint is that I stated to both the therapist and Vanessa that I would like focus on not only my neck and shoulders, but my lower back. Sadly, my lower back felt neglected. My neck and shoulders on the other hand feel the best they have in years. Ill definitely be coming back, maybe just making my requests absolutely clear. read more

Love Masseuse, Marie!!! Great service here, nice staff. Parking is a little tricky but she's worth it. No complaints, never had a bad experience here. read more

I purchased a gift certificate for someone whom later was discovered to have symptoms preventing the massage type desired (which was not known at the time). The staff was unreasonable about both the rules for the symptoms and about a refund, which was ultimately denied. Regardless of company policy the staff did not handle the situation well, and additionally did not even have a manager present to ensure it did. Visit another location, there is good reason this one has had so many low reviews with similar complaints. read more

The staff is prompt and friendly and I've had massage and facials here - Stephanie was my therapist and aesthetician and was fantastic! The location is convenient and the massage rooms are quiet without any outside disturbances/noises. read more

I have been going to massage envy for 4-5 months now and i gotta say that I love it. I go to see Sean every time. She is very good at what she does and she knows her stuff. The company as a whole is very professional and they seem to care about their clients. I would recommend you give it a shot. read more

Sorry to hear that some people are not happy. I am VERY satisfied with the San Tan location. I joined in Gilbert, but I moved to San Tan when they opened because it was closer to my home. I have never regretted that decision. The staff are always polite and professional. I have been seeing Sean for quite awhile, and I LOVE her. She is always attentive to my needs and will focus on certain problem areas if I ask. I've also seen Lynn for facials, and have been very happy with her, as well. read more

Had my first massage today with GEORGE! He was SPECTACULAR and a really nice person to have a conversation with. He was kind and patient and definitely took his time to explain the procedure, how much I needed to undress (to my comfort level only) and absolutely worked wonders with my back/legs. Signed up for a membership today jsut because of him... I'll be back! read more

This review comes on a sad note... I have to bid farewell to my membership. I can no longer justify this monthly expense. I am sad about it. It was nice to be able to go when I wanted & know it was prepaid already, but the time has come after all these years, to say goodbye. I will miss the massage therapists that I have come to love! I would definitely still recommend the program & this place to my friends. Bye Bye Massage Envy, it's been a nice run. Take Care & Good luck! read more

I have been going to massage envy for about 5 years. I am huge fan! It has great hours and location. I have had quite a few less than satisfactory massages there but you just have to find the therapist that works for you!! I am a huge fan of deep tissue and the best massage therapist I have ever had is Abbie. She is amazing!! And she is a super sweet girl. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here. I've had a membership for a couple of years, basically to force me to get a massage (desk job leaves me with tight shoulders and some neck issues) and I have tried several therapists -- have yet to leave unhappy. The facial option is a plus, too. read more

I've been going to this spa for many years. David and Abigayl give the best deep tissue massages. The best part is that the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. My only complaint is that the headrests on the massage tables are horrible. If they'd upgrade those, it would be perfect. read more

I've been to this massage envy once since I recently moved out here. I had a great experience in regards to my massage. The front desk was busy and I had to wait for a min so that wasn't pleasing but I really enjoyed my massage. I plan on sticking with Jenny she seems to be one of the best! I recently called and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I've already set up my next apmt. read more

I have been a loyal member of Massage Envy in the East Valley now for over 7 years and I have recently found a great therapist, Jennifer, who does an amazing job of listening to the problems that I have with trigger points and has done a wonderful job of correcting the problem. Jennifer does a great job with Deep tissue massages and I would recommend her as an excellent massage therapist to anyone and everyone. She is a true professional and very personable and listens to all my problems and adjusts the treatment accordingly. I currently do Mixed Martial Arts and have had 2 back surgeries and a recent shoulder surgery and she is a big reason why I am on track on getting back to grappling, kick boxing, and MMA. Thanks Jennifer !! read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my massage therapist. I want one who knows what they're doing, is willing to listen to me and listen to my body. I've had several different therapists at about 5 different Massage Envy's in the East Valley. Massage Envy San Tan has the best therapists by far. You definitely get your money's worth here. I just wish I lived closer. read more

Massage Envy is really in touch with my personal wants out of a massage. The therapist provided a great explanation of what would occur, and instructions for when I went home to get the most out of my massage. This location was in great condition and very clean. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and my therapist was fantastic! When I arrived, my body was full of tension, and I left with a great feeling of relief. Definitely a good choice! read more

I have been going for a few months and have yet to leave massage envy at San Tan disappointed. The girls at the front desk are always smiling, courteous, and eager to check me in for my appointment. I have been seeing Carly and just absolutely love her technique as well as her personality! She is very patient with treating my muscular issues. I am always fully relaxed and calm when leaving ME @ San Tan. I am so happy that we decided to get membership to ME. It's been the best decision we could make for our health! read more

Massage Envy - Massage Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

I've been a member for years, and I mean years and years! I really enjoy it...the facials too. Reasonable membership fees, perks if you book in advance, wide variety of appointment times! I see the negativity from some other reviews and sometimes you have to speak up and solve the problem, too cold? Ask them to warm up the table! Too bright? Ask them to dim the lights more! Didn't care for your therapist? Try another! It's all a matter of personal choice, so tell them what makes you comfortable. read more

Really disappointed about the lack of front desk staffs knowledge reagrding cancellation . I went in to Fuschia In July to cancel my membership (which I had become member before they opened ) but due to distance of where I live and hours they are open , as I work when they are open, and they are closed when I am off )I asked to cancel my membership. I had not used the spa previously for the past 5 months ..and yes had accululated services that are unused. I was told no problem consider it cancelled , but feel free to use the services..I have not used any of the services in almost a year, yet keep getting charges . Finally I am being mailed the cancellation forms and still being charged for the last 6 months even tho' I went in to have it cancelled. I have referred a number of current members.. based ont this last experience , I no longer will. read more
