I went to elements because I had a tight neck. It was as an evening appointment and Chloe was my therapist. She really worked hard on my neck and upper back. I had as an extra the hot Himalayan salt rock massage, So Awesome! When I left I was a bit sore due to the hard level massage. My neck did feel a lot better and not as tight! This place is an absolute scam, I signed up for a membership but was unable to continue after 2 months. I paid for one month and was owed one massage and because the second payment failed they refused to give me the service I've already paid for. The staff is rude and the place is covered in dust, definitely not the place for restorative relaxing massage. read more

I moved away and had to cancel my membership. They charged me one additional month after canceling (this left me with two 90- minute massages already paid for) I was told I could use them if I were to come back. Six months later and I wanted to gift my remaining massages to a friend who is visiting. The person who answered told me they expire after 60 days when you cancel. I would've made an effort to gift them sooner had I been told that when I canceled. Long story short, read all of your paperwork. These places get over and keep your hard earned money. I feel if I've paid for this service, it should not expire, it's freaking paid for! I'm not asking for anything free, only what I've already PAID FOR! UPDATE - I received a message from the owner saying that she would check into my issue and give me a call. Never been to this location before. I normally go to South Mesa. However, I was having some issues with my neck and shoulders and desperately needed a good massage. South Mesa didn't have any availability on the day I could do it so I checked with this location, and they paired me with Jess. I was not satisfied with my massage. Jess seemed to just be "going through the motions" versus actually paying attention to my troublespots and relieving the tension that I had. Maybe for some her massage techniques are good, but for me, they failed. I'm very disappointed in my experience and thought that I wasted my money. read more

first time ever at elements massage! i was gifted a spa finder gift card from my boss so that's what drew me in! i was able to get in pretty quickly (the week i called) and booking process was easy. my therapist was rachelle and she was very kind and sweet!! i decided to do cupping as i haven't done it in a while (i would highly recommend cupping to anyone that is even slightly interested, it helps SO MUCH). overall, i had a wonderful time with the 90 minute massage and would recommend this location and rachelle as your massage therapist! thank you! read more

It took me 3 massage therapists before I finally found a good one. The first one was 'okay', he seemed to be following what he learned in massage school only, the second massage therapist talked fast & non-stop about herself and her fiancé the entire 90 minutes, her technique was fragmented, unskilled & I left with more tension then when I entered, The third was the worse, he used pressure & pinching (even though I did not ask for that), I blurted out 'Ouch' at least 3 times and that didn't even slow him down; completely terrible massage. FINALLY I tried one more therapist named Eric, he is fantastic! He is skilled, smooth & continuous, he obviously can tell by feeling your muscles what is needed and where you need more or less pressure. read more

First I want to say that my massage was great and I did leave happy! However I know the holidays are coming up and all I can say is DO NOT buy someone a gift card here. My boyfriend got me a gift card for our anniversary for an hour massage at $123 dollars, because it was my first time in I decided to do the hour and a half at the special member rate of $119. The next day I look at my account at they charged me an extra $56 dollars for my massage because apparently if you use a gift card you don't get the first time special rate and I had to pay for the extra half hour. Overall I don't understand how special rates don't apply to gift cards, but I am also upset that through the whole process no one told me that I wouldn't get the rate and that I would be charged again after leaving. As I said I was really happy with my massage so I asked if I would be able to get the special rate on my next massage since I was not able to get it for my first time, which I was told I would not be able to get unless I actually signed up for the membership program because I had already come in. I honestly wish that there could have been some resolution since this really was an issue of miscommunication from the beginning. read more

The owner of this facility is a joke and very unprofessional. I called in this morning and talked to the receptionist to schedule a message. I gave her all my info and was told a price and gave my cc# as she asked to set the appointment. Appointment set.. I get a call 10-15 min later from the receptionist that I previously talked to and said the price went up because she found my info and I was not a new patient. I find it weird that she couldn't find my info the first time I called, I gave her all the info she requested. Long story short I asked them to honor the price they game me over the phone and the receptionist said she would talk to her boss. She got back on the phone and said her boss said NO but this is what they can do for me, if I become a member I can STILL get the price they quoted me. This facility is crazy. I asked to talk to the manager and come to find out she's the owner. When I was talking to her she was very standoffish and rude. Basically she was not going to do anything for there mistake. I get people make mistakes where all human, but the way this owner handled this situation is not good business. Hopefully they fix this issue and not upset anymore customers. read more

Got my first professional massage done here by Ashlyn and it was such a great and comfortable experience. I nearly fell asleep several times and my muscles are feeling better than ever. My husband and I are visiting the area for the holidays and called to see any availability for a couples massage and then had to move it sooner. They were very accommodating when we told them. The front desk took the time to go over our needs and requests. We got a great price! And both the massage therapists were great. I have really bad neck pain and she took the time to focus on that and ease the tension. We loved the experience. After the massage, they took the time to go over future recommendations on what to do and mentioned areas on the body that had the most tension! Would definitely recommend to anyone. read more

Elements massage is one of the best day spas within the area. You walk in the front door to beaming smile's and a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. There are books for you to look through and oils for you to choose on what scent you would like to be had throughout your massage. Beverages are served if you would like them cold or room temperature and you are asked if you would like your table warmed or a little hotter than normal. The massage therapist as well as the owners are beyond delightful and are very pleasant to have a conversation with to get to know you and your body. From the first time I came here I knew elements was a hidden gem! The front office staff is very welcoming and kind and they are not like typical massage therapy centers that have to push a membership on you. However my therapist Marissa is so wonderful at what she does I ended up getting one anyways! Since seeing her regularly she has helped address many of my concerns. By taking time and really listening to my body and focusing on the areas that need the work I have full range of motion in my neck again! This place is classy and awesome! We happened to call very last minute (like 24 hrs before) for three massages and were able to get an appointment anyway. Incredibly nice, very accommodating and helpful. The ambiance was great the moment we walked in. I mean, three ladies yapping is not all that easy to deal with in a lobby in trying for relaxation. As soon as the therapists came out though, it was game on! Went our separate ways and one of the really nice things was understanding which muscle makes you feel better or worse where. Also, getting to choose where to focus the attention of the therapy session. Our therapists then gave us recommendations for when to get another massage appointment and what areas needed more attention. When we were done, we all walked away super relaxed. read more

Since the first time I walked in everyone has treated me like a princess, making me as relaxed and comfortable as possible before my massage. The therapists all make it their personal vendetta to work out my stress and tension exactly how I prefer. I was previously getting almost daily headaches from the muscle tension from being an RN. Since I've started seeing them regularly, my headaches are pretty much gone!! The rooms are quite, comfortable, and relaxing. Among the many reasons why I like my local Elements Massage is the flexibility and talent of the owners and staff members. In addition to different types of massages offered (hot stone, Shiatsu, Deep tissue, etc.), as well as aromatherapy options, this particular Elements Massage location offers a staff that is professional, friendly, and highly talented!Some days, I can enjoy chatting during my 1.5 hour session. Other days, I require silence. Likewise, I have different pressure needs depending on how my body is feeling. I've also just learned that I can bring my own pillow for my sessions, which are applied with a side-lay method. Worst customer service ever! This was literally just yesterday. I will not be back! Made an appointment online 2 and a half hours before the appointment time. I got a confirmation that I was scheduled with michael at 4 pm. I arrived at 336 pm as was requested to fill out paperwork and when I got there the girl at the front desk said oh sorry we can't accommodate that today and I forgot to call you cause I was busy. I was like um... ok well then why did it say it was a scheduled appointment ? She was like well it's only request. That was not what it said online when I made the appointment (it was for a 2 hour massage with aromatherapy btw I would have spent no less than 150 with them) I chose a time earlier than that and it took it off so if it wasn't available then you shouldn't be able to "confirm appointment". I left and was sitting in my truck and I saw this girl come out and get In her car and leave- then they closed early. They just didn't want to have anyone else because they wanted to go home early. She was rude, obnoxious and made excuses about "how busy" she was with training and didn't have a chance to pick up a phone to call me. I'm sorry but you require I call you to cancel any appointment 24 hours in advance otherwise you can potentially be charged for not making your appointment - but you can't call me to tell me that you weren't going to be able to accommodate me? And on top of it your website apparently doesn't actually let you schedule appointments ? What the point of having a system then if you might as well just call to confirm. I literally called massage envy across the street - they worked me in (granted they didn't have a 2 hour available) but the staff was way more friendly, my therapist was awesome and they valued my time and took me back right at the time they said they would. Honestly for the rudeness of the staff I would not even bother wasting your time. Go to massage envy and be done with it. You might have to pay more but ultimately you get what you pay for and the service is much better. Elements will never get my business again. If a a manger reads this- you need new staff and people that are more customer service oriented because that was a ver frustrating and inconvenient situation that could have been avoided with 1 phone call. read more

Update: After getting a call from Carolyn, I went in and spoke with both owners. It was great to share my feedback and they wanted to know all the details of what happened and assured me they would take everything into account and moving forward make some changes - including being visible on weekends. I appreciated how they handled everything and I did get my extra 1/2 hour add on back to use in my next session. It ended in hugs all around. Wonderful ladies those owners are! This place used to be great but it has gone downhill recently. I've been a member over a year now. They can't keep good therapists...they keep leaving and constantly referring you to someone "like the ones who left" but seriously they are NOT. The last time I was referred to someone who was just back from a raging head cold (she should have never been cleared for work). She coughed the ENTIRE time (obviously not covering her mouth since she was massaging me) and sniffling and wheezing - it was awful. Plus when she wasn't coughing she was talking. I even used my birthday 90 min extension promo on that visit and it was a waste - I felt so uncomfortable the entire time. I let a manager know and she said she would get back to me about a credit for next time and never did. Clearly they don't want to keep existing business and when I called to cancel my membership, the girl on the phone was rude about it and I have to physically go in to cancel. New to massage at the time, having had only one unacceptable massage before, we should have been a hard sell. Our family convinced us to try again, and we are so very glad we did as Mesa Gateway Elements turned out to not only be our massage home, but massage heaven. The owners are present and always make sure you are well cared for. The studio itself is inviting, relaxing, and clean. Now, on to Cassandra, our amazing massage therapist. She listens to what you need, asks the right questions, and provides the therapy you are seeking. Cassandra's knowledge of physical anatomy is stunning. Her knowledge of the body takes your massage to the next level, providing you with a totally therapeutic massage. We've suffered back problems over the years. The massage Cassandra provides has increased our flexibility, mobility and circulation, which has in turn increased our enjoyment of everything we do! She helps my husband's golf game and posture. There is a long back story to my dissatisfaction with this company. I started out a membership for both my husband and myself at the Queen Creek location. I had a great therapist who ended up moving out of state. At that time I cancelled my membership. I was instructed that I had to be present in the studio to sign the cancellation. I did so, only to find out 6 months later the contracts were never cancelled. The manager at the Queen Creek attempted to make it right and help me schedule out the sessions we had credited since she would not refund the money that totaled well over $500. I also had to make another trip into the studio to cancel the membership which caused me to incur another month's payments. I attempted to utilize the credits on my account for our 5 family members which included 3 minors. We ran into many snags with scheduling and was then refused an appointment due to having my daughter with me. She sits quietly and doesn't disturb anyone. I was told it was against fire regulations. Though it was required for me to be in the room during her massages. We decided we had encountered too many problems at Queen Creek and Noelle, the manager informed me that we could use our credits at any AZ location. I called the Gateway location and was shocked to be able to schedule 2 appointments within a week. At Queen Creek, we would have to schedule out 4 or more weeks. I should have known it was too good to be true. When my husband took my daughter to her appointment, it was not scheduled under the right person, and they attempted to charge him for the visit as they couldn't locate the credits on our account. There were many more mistakes that were made, but I would have a lot more typing to do. The last straw came for this franchise when they called to confirm my son's appointment. I had already spoken to them about all the errors that were made the week prior. When I received the confirmation call, I was shocked to hear that they again had the wrong person scheduled. I was told there were new staff and they were in the process of training them. I was also told that every unvaccinated client needed to wear masks from the time they entered the door until the time they left. I questioned this as my son is only 5. I was told that he would count as unvaccinated and would be required to wear a mask. I was shocked to hear this as our family had already been in for 2 separate appointments just the week prior. I asked when this policy began and was told it had been in effect since Covid began. I was told that the policy was explained with every phone call. I explained that it was not true as this was the first time we were hearing of it and the training they provided for their staff wasn't sufficient to have them schedule appointments properly let alone explain mask requirements. At this time I was told that the studio was not a good fit for us and they would not service our needs! Not only that, but that they wouldn't refund me my money either! read more

This place is amazing! It all starts with Carolyn up front who is the owner and treats you like you are truly her only client. My wife and I purchased the membership so we can switch off month to month in getting a massage at a discounted price. Carolyn set me up with Christy who has been amazing so far. I have gotten massages at high end 5 star resorts and paid $400 and Christy is much better for a fraction of the price. She takes the time to understand your needs and where you would like her to focus. I would say overall this Elements massage is an all around great experience and a pleasure to do business with.
