First and foremost, let me say that my massage was great. Heidi knows her stuff and did a wonderful job relieving the tension in my back with her deep tissue techniques. However, I will say when I called to see if they had any last-minute availability for a 90-minute massage, the person that answered the phone put me on hold to call her massage therapist to ask, which was fine, no problem. They're open by appointment only so I understand they might not be in the office right now. But when she came back, she said it would be about $120. I accepted and had a 1:30 pm appointment. When I got there, there was no one there. Again, open by appointment only so I waited. Someone showed up at 1:27 pm. I filled out my paperwork and headed down a dark relaxing hallway to the very last room. Now this place is cute and clean, so I didn't mind going down the hallway. But, about 30mins into my massage, someone walked in the door. It was only the 2 of us there so my massage got interrupted so she could see who it was. Fine, but then the person was looking for someone and Heidi didn't know who they were asking for, so it took a little while for her to come back. During this time, although the oil she used was warm, there was no heating in the massage bed, and as someone who lives in AZ, because they can't stand the cold, I got so cold that some parts of me began to shake. Again, it was fine. The massage was worth it, but when I got to the front to pay. The massage was $150, not the $120 I was told prior. I didn't take this out on Heidi because I should've asked first, looked it up, or maybe taken note of the sign at the desk. But it was still a bit disappointing to be misled, especially since I would've had to have done the massage anyway because I don't know what Heidi had planned for the day and she had already driven to meet me. Overall, great massage... just need to work out a little bit of the kinks. read more

Two words: Amazing Anja! My first time going there today and wow that woman can massage! I have been to lots of spas and massage places over the years and she has to be one of the best. No joke. Deep tissue massage has nothing on her. I am sore from her massage later in the day! Lol but it felt sooooooo good at the time. She is very receptive to feedback so she did back off if it was too much pressure and gave more if needed. Very nice and professional. Only negative would be the massage rooms "share " ceiling space as in the rooms are not completely enclosed floor to ceiling so you could potentially hear the other people next door. Luckily I don't think it was busy when I was there so I didn't hear anything. I got the regular lomi lomi and it was just enough oil. I didn't want the traditional one since I was doing something later that day and didn't want to get oily all over. Definitely going again! read more

My husband got me a gift certificate here and I had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. Because it's a small business, there are about 5 massage rooms, but the experience was amazing. I chose aromatherapy with lavender and it was supreme. There are several options of massages, but I always suggest to go with a 90 minute because it is always more relaxing. When getting a massage the reality is a 60 minute is really 50 minutes because of the undress/dress times. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this ZERO stars I would. I booked my first appointment, excited to try this place out, with Edith. The staff was rude and short from the very first encounter during the booking process. I should have trusted my gut in this very moment and just hung up. Getting to the appointment, Edith (who I booked my massage with) seemed to not want to give me my massage- trying to hand me off to the other male therapist (Even though I specifically asked for a female therapist). During the massage (that was supposed to be a 90 MINUTE deep-tissue) she tapped on my arms and legs and left to "go get a towel" in the middle of the massage. In no way was this a deep-tissue massage..She also proceeded to body shame me and pointed out textures on my skin and told me I need to get my arms "checked out." 55 minutes into the 90 minute massage she tells me the massage is over. At the counter, she tried to charge me FULL PRICE for a 90 minute massage. When I asked her why she is charging me for a 90 minute when it wasn't even a full hour, she says "Yeah, I'm sorry." You're sorry? Needless to say, she thankfully charged me for a 1 hour massage (even though, AGAIN, I did not even get a full hour! It's better than paying for 90 minutes). I've also called multiple times to speak to a manager but haven't been able to get a hold. The experience all around was very odd and I fully believe the therapist I got that day was NOT a certified masseuse....I will be reporting the facility as this was unacceptable. I went ahead with the massage but unfortunately was extremely disappointed. I don't think she had any formal training. She leaves the room frequently, drenches you in oil, and her actual massage techniques are random and not consistent. The massage is just rubbing the skin with no real pressure or technique. She then asks me if I would like to wait for her, I asked her how long thinking 15-20 minutes at most, she then replies AN HOUR! I went to Anja last year as a gift and had the most amazing Lomi Lomi massage. It was the first time I had Lomi Lomi and I can never go back. The only way I can describe it is like your whole body is being massaged at the same time, there is an almost constant flow that is unlike any deep tissue or Swedish massage, it's just super relaxing and you feel like you have a new body when it's over! It was the most thorough, relaxing, expert massage I have ever had. I decided to track her down and treat myself (Lomi Lomi is more expensive because you just get way more out of it) and found she opened her own place in Gilbert. The business was beautiful, classy and relaxing. Anja is professional and follows your cues, so if you want quiet, she follows but she is also really fun to talk to and get to know. My husband and I have tried nearly every place in the valley since we moved here three years ago. Anja, with Valley Massage Spa is the only massage therapist that has the ability to meet both of our requirements for a quality massage. I prefer medium pressure, and deep on problem areas, with stretching. My husband requests that the massage therapist "try to hurt him". Although our preferred approach to an ideal massage is very different Anja delivers impeccably to both our preferences. I cannot recommend this establishment more highly. We both tried Lomi Lomi technique for the first time with her and found it to be beneficial for deep muscle aches. read more

Very nice lady and a great massage! She listens and she does deep tissue. Those are the two most important things to me. I like to focus on the back and shoulders and most providers say OK then proceed to give me the regular massage with the hands, feet, etc. Anja focused on the areas I asked her to. She will go as deep tissue as you can handle. I like a really strong massage and I'm often disappointed in the pressure. She's not shy about pushing hard if that's what you ask her to do. Very hard to find. She also has a few techniques that I'd not experienced. Long strokes on the shoulders and into the neck and back down again. Very relaxing while still using a lot of pressure. The shop is near the 60 and Val Vista. Very easy to find, easy parking, upscale office overall. Give her a try if you're in the area. read more

Anja is absolutely incredible! I could not recommend her place more! It is extremely evident that she cares about the health and wellbeing of her clients. I requested a 90 min sports massage because I was in so much pain! In 90 mins Anja found every single knot/area of muscle tightness and worked it out with a deep tissue massage, but she also mixed it up to make sure that my experience was also relaxing. Anja also used a combination of stretch/lengthening techniques that improved my range of motion significantly in just 1 visit! After my session she showed me a couple of stretching techniques that I can do at home to continue to promote the corrective exercise work. Anja even texted me a picture of a posture band that she recommended me to wear while working at my desk job. We set up a treatment plan and I am beyond excited and confident that I am going to be feeling amazing in the weeks to come! read more

Worst experience. I walked up and signed in. After several minutes waiting a lady walked in and gave me an intake sheet to complete. When I finished she took me to a room ( cleanliness definitely lacked) and walked out. No questions on how long, what type of massage were asked. After several minutes she returned and started to massage 10 minutes in she asked "do you have an appointment ? ". I was a bit confused especially after ten minutes of work done in me..... I responded well I walked in and a lady gave me an k take sheet. She then co tongues to work after the rude and abrupt unexpected break and question. Then the phone rang at the highest sound ..... again awaking the tranquil place I am paying to get to ....... The smell of the room became stronger again not the freshest or cleanest..... then she gets back to working on me again ...... THEN 10 minutes goes by and she STOPS again this is Joe the 3RD TIME and says did you have an appointment. I said to her AGAIN no I walked in this is something the front lady should have clarified when she handed me the intake. form . The lady responds oh I have an appointment waiting outside in the waiting room. Ok, and? She stops the massage and then asks for payment? Are you kidding me? Just had the most amazing Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage from Anja and feel like melted butter. This was by far the most fluid, relaxing and tension releasing massage I have ever had. I like a lot of pressure and most massages I've had don't go deep enough but Anja dropped not only an elbow, but a couple knees as well!! I loved it. Anja gave me the most unbelievable massage that I have ever had. I came into town to play golf for the weekend, but due to back issues I knew that I was not going to be able to play.
