Worst massage I have ever had, and I have had a lot. I had to ask her to stop halfway through but she did not want to so I let her massage my scalp. When I paid she took my $100 for an $80 massage (with enhancement) and kept the change, making it seem like there was some language barrier that I didn't not understand. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! I came in for a 90 min Swedish massage. I booked my apt with Lulu. I came in about 15min before my apt. and signed in on the clipboard. The lady said you're here for a 90 minute Swedish massage? I said yes she said come back here. I followed her into the first room. She asked if I was paying cash. I said yes, she said I get a free item and she listed off a couple things to add to my massage. I chose the hot stones. She said get undressed lay on the table and I'll be back. I said OK. She never introduced her self, asked what I was coming in for. Never gave me any paper work to fill out. She knew nothing about me or my body. I got on the table Covered up the best I could with the little sheet they had. Thinking to myself this is kind of small, but it covers me and maybe once she starts she will turn it to cover my waist and everything will be fine. She knocked asked if I was ready. I said yes, she came in. Switched out my sheet. With a smaller sheet that barely covered my butt. 3 or 4 times I asked her to go softer or lighter on her strokes. Because it was rough and not relaxing at all. She would easy up little but it would also go back to rough. Twice she went over two spots where I reacted and said ow or oh because the spots she went over hurt. (I was having pain in my lower back and neck before I came in) one was my lower back and the other spot was up by my neck and shoulder area. That was how she did my whole body. When she used the hot stones they were very hot and I even said something about them being too hot. She tried to cool them down. It helped a little but when she switched to new rocks they were very hot and after she did a stroke I told her to stop. They were just to hot. Each section of my body she massaged she used a ton of oil. So much so she had to wipe each section with a wet rag before moving to the next section. While she would rub me down with a wet rag it was like a wash cloth and it felt like my skin was being exfoliated. It was rough and fast. Over all it's was not a good massage especially for 90min. I felt worse after I left then when I came in. It was also a very uncomfortable experience I honestly should have said something while I was leaving but I was still running everything over in my head. I'm also not a person that likes to complain or make a scene. So I paid and left. Side note- I emailed the company stating everything I said here plus some other personal stuff that was inappropriate. I told them I was reporting this to the massage board as well. I got the deep tissue massage which apparently meant they just rub you with medium pressure back and forth very fast. My back feels messed up and I still have a huge knot that honestly might feel worse than before. Deep tissue should be focused on slow movements with pressure to help relieve tension instead it was like she was trying to rub my skin off. read more

Pretty disappointed. I go here typically and usually have a good experience. This last experience was horrible. The deep tissue massage was nowhere near a deep tissue massage even at after asking multiple times to change the technique. Then the practitioner left the room for a solid 8 to 10 minutes in the middle of my massage. Also, they completed the Massage five minutes prior to end time. At cash out, I did not choose to tip and the practitioner got very upset verbally and physically, proceeding to ask me over and over where is my tip? Where is my tip? Where is my tip? Wonderful place for a massage. It's quiet and peaceful; it's clean and smells like fresh laundry; and the massage tables are oversized and nicely padded. They massage for the whole time you are scheduled - not the typical 50 minute hour. And the massage? Amazing! I have gone to many other places before, some at twice the price, and have not had the quality of massage. Lulu is fantastic! She puts in 110% the entire time. This is a great place for convenience. Flexible hour and they close late on the weekend. I came across the massage place while Yelping for a service. My appointment was double booked for the other salon (Thai Balinese) by accident. They mistakenly forgot to put me on their appointment book. I came across to Essential Massage through Yelp. And Joy was able to get me in at the earliest time. Joy help release a lots of tensions and knots in my back. She is very professional and I felt relief after the massage. Thank you Joy! I have visited Essential Massage (formerly "Just Relax Spa") several times over the last two or three years, and had always had a good experience. I was not a regular customer, but would go there occasionally if my regular massage therapist was unavailable for some reason. Most of the time, I would see either Joy or Ivy, and always received a professional, pleasant, and satisfactory massage. I went there again today, and Mia was my massage therapist. She did a very good job at massage and was pleasant during my session. When the session was over and I was preparing to pay, I was upset to find that she began badgering me for a higher tip (I usually tip 15-20%, depending on the overall quality of service and experience). Mia asked for 25% or more gratuity! Neither of the other two therapists have ever been anything but gracious when I would pay, and always bade me a pleasant farewell and invited me to come back again soon. If I return to this location again, I most certainly will not choose Mia. read more

Absolutely AMAZING first time here sad I'm from out of town or else I'd come here all the time!! Great prices a whole hour for $70 I wish I would've gotten the amazing lady's name who did the deep tissue to recommend her. I felt so comfortable the whole time it's like she just knew the places that needed a little extra work. My upper back/ neck/ shoulders feel so much better (that's where I hold stress) and the rest of my body she did great as well. Everyone was very nice, clean establishment, I did a walk in and if you've never gotten the cupping you should try! A comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, and a great massage. There are several different massage techniques to choose from and there is even a small loyalty program, a free massage after 10 visits. I booked an appointment online for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Location was easy to find, and I was checked in promptly by staff. Everything pre-massage was great. The actual massage, was a little unconventional. My biggest issue (which I didn't realize until about halfway through the massage) was that the masseuse used baby oil for the massage. I've been to many many massage studios and spas and what have you, and no one has ever used baby oil. My skin doesn't love baby oil so I'm dealing with a bit of a rash now. The other issue was the aggressive stretching. At the end of the massage, when I was feeling pretty relaxed, the masseuse took my legs and started doing some pretty rough stretching. I am not sure what the intent was there, but it's not really how I wanted to end my massage. All in all, pricing was good and staff were nice, but I don't plan to return to this place in the future. read more

I noticed the sign for Essential Massage while in this shopping center. I had some spare time, so I walked in. Very clean and fresh. I decided on a 60-minute deep tissue massage. After Angela took my temperature, she led me to a room. She gave me an excellent back walk and her deep tissue massage was fantastic. Two weeks later I booked a 2-hour massage with Angela on their easy-to-use web site. This time I asked for a 60-minute LomiLomi and 60-minute Thai massage. Again, Angela's massage techniques were awesome. One of the best LomiLomi massages I have had in the valley. The Thai stretching massage was also great, with just the right amount of massage oil. I will return again and maybe ask Joy, the manager, for a massage. read more

Made me want to leave halfway through. Joy, the massage therapist, left approximately 4 times during massage and would leave the door open when she left and during the massage. Made me feel very vulnerable because other clients and massage therapists were walking through the hallway. Technique involved pushing knots around rather than getting them out. Asked for focus on neck and shoulders in writing and verbally but that did not happen. Will not return. Very disappointed about the waste of money. read more
