I let her know about my shoulder and neck being knotted from working at a desk and also doing a lot of weightlifting. She really got in there and helped ease all of my shoulder tension and was great at communicating and making sure it wasn't too much pressure. I also let my masseuse know that I had an arm tattoo that is still healing (at 4 weeks post-tat, I still didn't want any oil or rubbing on it) and she was super accommodating to this request! Everyone else in Scottsdale started at $159 each with at least a one day notice. Clean, modern and well kept business. Both ladies are fantastic and my wife said Lily was terrific. It's a 25 minute commute from Scottsdale to Chandler but well worth it. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. Both ladies are kind, warm, funny and passionate about their trade. I paid via tap to pay and then I left a Cash tip but FYI - the preprogrammed starting tip options are 30%, 40% and 50%. At some point it's just out of hand. So a 50% tip on top of an $80 service? Poor ambience, no aroma oils, you smell bleached sheets and air inflated pillow in your face. I did not feel relaxed at all. Same with my husband. We looked at each other and shook our heads of never coming back. Lady was very rude to get the tip. From the beginning, communication was difficult due to the language barrier, but I tried to make the best of it. The pressure was much too intense, and although I attempted to ask for lighter pressure, I did not feel that my concerns were understood. What made me most uncomfortable was repeated contact with intimate areas during the massage. At one point, the therapist's hand entered my butt crack. I initially assumed it was an accident, but it happened again, at which point I physically moved her hand away and said no. Later, while working on my legs and glutes, I continued to feel uncomfortable with how close the contact was to private areas. The final straw was when the sheet was pulled up in a way that exposed my entire backside. At that point, I ended the massage early and left extremely upset. I cannot say whether any of this was intentional, but I can say that I felt uncomfortable, my boundaries were not respected, and I did not feel safe continuing the session. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had.
