My husband and I recently got a couples massage at Golden Massage. The massage itself was fine, but the overall experience was not the best and left wanting. I can't say I'd recommend them. I'm relatively sensitive to noises and distractions, which is a personal problem of my own, but they definitely don't set you up for success. They have window chimes on the door..why?! You hear every single person walking in and out. They talk extremely loud and I had to request the music to be turned up to drown out some of the background noise. My masseuse also left parts of my body more exposed or uncovered when she wasn't working on an area which I didn't love. The overall ambiance and vibe is really not conducive to relaxing. At the end of our massage they walk you out and again inquire cash or card, then upon payment have tip options STARTING at 35% and going up 60%! Absolutely insane. I've been seeing Emma now for the past 2 1/2 years both at her former place of employment and ever since she purchased this, her first massage spa. She's worked very hard to carefully build up clientele by providing outstanding massage services, competitive prices all in a clean, modern environment. Yesterday afternoon when I arrived for my massage treatment, I checked in online and saw a 1-star negative review. I asked Emma about what happened and what she told me doesn't match what the customer in the negative review stated. As a customer, as well as having observed her greet customers, I can tell you that she's not one to rush them when they arrive for their massage. As per the massage tables, please look at the photos I posted in July, not sure what this customer is talking about the tables being too short. I feel it's unusual that this customer after just 5 minutes decided that her massage was not going well and refused offers for another masseuse or one offered by Emma herself. The customer also mentioned in her review that she didn't know if they were licensed. Please see the photo section that show all the appropriate city and state licenses right by the front desk. I've been receiving massages to treat my Osteoarthritis for almost three decades and I can tell when a quality massage is given. I can tell you that I've received massages from all four of the masseuses at Golden Massage and each of them are honestly outstanding. read more

First time here for a deep tissue massage with Penny. She was nice but was a bit rough and rushed for a deep tissue massage.
