I have been to this spa many times before and have always had wonderful experiences with Vanessa. Unfortunately, she wasn't available this time, so I was scheduled with a different therapist. I have never had an issue here until this appointment. I booked this massage because I wanted to relax and get relief from tension in my shoulders, neck, and head. I never requested a deep tissue massage. Instead, the therapist simply started doing one without ever asking if that was what I wanted. Within minutes, I was wincing in pain and told her multiple times that it was too much. I also explained that I get migraines and prefer a gentler, more relaxing massage that focuses on my problem areas. Rather than listening to what I was asking for, she continued with an aggressive deep tissue massage over my entire body. She never once touched my neck or head as I requested, she focused entirely on my arms and shoulder blades. Instead of adjusting her technique, she told me I had so much tension that I needed to schedule at least 2 or 3 two-hour deep tissue massage. By the end of the session, she even instructed me to ice my body afterward because of how intense the massage had been. That alone should have been a sign that this was far beyond what I had booked or wanted. I came in hoping to leave relaxed, not feeling like I needed to recover from my massage. She also talked throughout nearly the entire appointment, which made it impossible to unwind. The combination of the constant conversation and the painful massage meant I never had a chance to actually relax. She also saw me wincing and said that, "sometimes, you have to do the work." I left sore for days afterward, and the massage ultimately triggered one of my migraines. A massage should be tailored to the client's comfort level and goals, especially after they communicate what they want and say they are in pain. Unfortunately, my requests were ignored from beginning to end. I'm incredibly disappointed because I've always had positive experiences here before. However, after this experience, I will never book with this therapist again.

Once I got there I checked in with a woman who spoke very very little English and she kept asking me to upgrade. After being asked a few times I agreed to add a $10 neck and shoulder work to the reflexology massage. I felt like the reflexology was more of a rub down than actual reflexology and trigger points. When she started on my back she kept saying how bad and tight it was (which it is) and told me I could add 30 minutes back work for $40. I opted in and as soon as I agreed to pay more money, the quality of massage increased immensely. Funny how that works. I found the masseuse to be a little rougher (not with pressure) than I would have liked while stretched and yanking my arms and neck. Bottom line, the reflexology massage wasn't what I expected but the additional back work was nice. Expect them to try and upsale you, even when you say no more than once.

This place is awesome!!! I tried the 1 hour foot massage, the pricing was only $30 buck! It was so worth it. They not only do your feet, but also your head, neck, shoulders, arms, back, and legs. When I first walked in, I requested someone strong. I was expecting a strong man, but instead a young girl walks in. I request to her again that I wanted someone strong. The young girl said that I can try it. I said Sure. Suprisingly, she makes me feel really relaxed and welcomed. Her strength was unbelievably strong. I go to foot massages across gilbert and chandler ALL the time, and this experience was not good at all. I asked for the combo (30 mins foot, 30 min back massage with hot stone) and the guy just kept dry rubbing my back with the same violent movements over a blanket for the entire time. I literally counted every minute until he stopped. no hot stone at all either - what a rip off. I tipped him anyways but looking back I should have asked for a discount as this was 10$ more than a regular massage. never going back!!! read more
