Separate dining areas with a common foyer and shared restrooms. Staff are very friendly. Our server was Jammie and she was fantastic. She explained the menu and answered our questions. We started off with a small order of guacamole which was awesome. We then tried their White Queso and Traditional Yellow Queso. They were both really good and I couldn't choose which one I liked best! You'll have to try them for yourself! We also had; The Road Kill - Grilled Chicken Breast topped with Queso Sauce, served with one Cheese and Onion Enchilada, Grilled Zucchini, and Pico de Gallo. Very flavorful. The chicken was moist and tender. The Cheese Enchilada was awesome with its chili sauce. Stuffed Fried Avocado - Hand battered fresh Avocado, stuffed with Spinach & Mushrooms. Served with a Cheese Enchilada, Rice, Beans and a side of Queso Sauce. The stuffed Avocado was totally awesome. Wrapped in cheese, then battered and deep fried. Gotta give it a try! The Beans and Rice were really good. We decided we need to go back and try more dishes! Yummy. Oh, The Chips and Salsa are great. Chips are Thin and Crispy and the salsa isn't too hot to eat! Big fan of the restaurant overall as they have a lot of great dishes. Today I had the carne asada fajitas and would never recommend them! An abundance of sizzling great tasting veggies, perfectly cooked tortillas and the worst carne asada I have ever eaten. It tasted like it was boiled for hours and the texture of baby food. First, the things that helped them get two stars instead of one: 1) the staff members were all excellent. 2) the zesty lime seasoning sprinkle on the tostadas was an appreciated touch. However, nothing else measured up. The beef and chicken fajitas were incredibly dry and uninspired. In a desperate attempt to add moisture, we poured some of the unappealing salsa over them, but what they needed--besides being cooked more carefully--was perhaps a small serving of melted garlic butter. We turned to the Mexican shrimp cocktail, and it was equally disenchanting. The sauce was not sufficiently sweet and tangy and was served warm! Some of the tasteless shrimps were grilled and some weren't, which was also strange. We were so confused how the place could be so busy with the food being so substandard. Their food is "VERY" tasty. BUT the only problem is their refried beans have "p o r k" in them. 99% of Mexican food restaurants serve vegan (plant based) refried beans, which is ""awesome"". But for some "reason", they have chosen to put "pork" in their refried beans. Which is "fine". But it w/b "g r e a t " if they cooked their refried beans w/ out pork. Their service is excellent. The ambience is fun & energetic. If they would Just remove the p o r k from their refried beans, "more" people w/b able to enjoy their food ;--). read more

I have returned to this fine establishment once again! I arrived famished after a long day of working. I was promptly seated near the bar area where I could hear beautiful conversations emerging. I sit and I am greeted with a warm, fluffy, spicy side of house chips with pico de gallo sauce, perfectly salted in seasoned perfectly crispy, and perfectly Trianger shaped. The waiter already knows me at this point, and I order 10 crispy tacos for a dollar each. You do the math, but this is a gluttonous amount of food. I regret absolutely nothing. I ate every single one of those tacos and the basket of chips with the salsa. I will do this again for the rest of my life if I continue to be near this establishment. It is very dangerous for me to live near this area because every Tuesday I count down the hours until I get out of work so that I can get in my car and drive to this fine God chosen establishment. Service is always absolutely on point. Ambience is filled with brothers and sisters in Christ. This I cannot highly recommend this place enough and I continue to come weekly. We will give it to them as service was solid and attentive, ambiance was loud (one particular server was practically yelling the order back to patrons), place quite honestly looked dirty. Went for the first time, for a late lunch. Ordered the birria (beef) tacos, and the HQ had the chicken/avocado enchiladas. Everything came out nice, fresh, and tasty, the sides were also stand out over the usual taqueria fare. Our server was fast, efficient, and friendly. Dining area was well kept, and plenty of seating. Always little wait to be seated, very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Not loud and boisterous like most restaurants. We have eaten here many times. Service 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Food 7/10 - we had beef fajitas. Flavor was good but the steak was cut with the grain so it was very chewy. This is a very basic concept when preparing/serving skirt steak/fajitas. Salsa could use a level up- not very flavorful, more fresco flavored, no heat at all. Vegetables served on the side is great, but the lettuce is brown and covered with sour cream and shredded cheese was covered with sour cream and guacamole. read more

Mas Fajitas has a convenient location off the freeway and a large parking lot with an attractive restaurant front. They advertise seafood in the front part with a tall attractive restaurant sign. At first it appears like two different restaurants in one. The lobby is spacious with a cool interior mural. That's great for busy days and large groups. Table seating and bar seating are available. Entertainment includes TV and music. Excellent happy hour menu and drinks can help get your chill mode started. A nice menu with great options offer some satisfying appetizers and meals. Hopefully your hot meals are truly hot (as in temperature-wise). Good food nonetheless! Sauces galore - just ask... Friendly attentive service is always a plus. Host and wait staff very pleasant. bathrooms were clean aa well as the restaurant smelt and looked clean. Ordered 2 teas and margarita along with ground beef nachos. Teas came out right away but margarita didn't come out till we were finished with nachos. It was Sunday evening and not busy. When asked she said it was ready she just had to get it. Salsa and chips were fine. Nachos looked good but very uneventful. waitstaff did not offer any appetizer plates so we made a mess on the table and when the meal was set down they did not bother to wipe away. We got a burrito and the "road kill" which included a grilled chicken breast, sliced grilled zucchini (both were good) but the 2 cheese enchiladas appeared to be cooked in the morning and then they put the gravy and grated cheese on top and in the oven for a couple of minutes before bringing out so the sauce was warm on the outside but previously melted cheese was flat log shape and peeled apart from each other when cut and barely warm. probably would not have gone due to reading reviews but there wasn't much open on a Sunday evening. we were just passing through town. I didn't ask for a tea to go even though we are traveling because it was not that good. sorry to leave this unfavorable review but it not that hard to make good cheese enchiladas at a minimum. over all it wasn't bad but isn't a place i'd return to unless nothing else was open and desperate for a Mexican food quick fix. read more

We came here for the eclipse and then enjoyed some fajitas before returning home. The beef fajitas were very tender and flavorful! The rice and the charro beans were also excellent. Our waitress brought generous amounts of chips, refilled our salsa bowls and kept our ice tea glasses full. The place is very clean. Apparently I am one of the few that just did not care for the food or the drinks.... Been 3 or 4 times and it's not the best experience. The biggest problem is the margaritas. I asked about the house and it's made with a mix, so I ordered a regular margaritas on the rocks. Still came with a terrible mix... sweet and sour mix. Went to the bar and ordered a ranch water thinking you can't mess that up.... It also had sweet and sour mix...... I know I'am picky but when you go to a Mexican restaurant the margarita should be on point.... The music was good but loud. I couldn't hear my kid talking on the other side of table. I am not saying do not go, but be aware not everyone agrees with the good reviews. read more

I have been here for take out only about 4 times prior to tonight. I'm so glad we decided to eat in and get a margarita. Might be my favorite spot in Temple. Definitely on the TexMex side of Mexican food, but the roots and foundations are solid. They have spicy, more traditional sauce available on request, the regular salsa is a little sweet. A lot of great dishes. Sol De Jalisco might have more authentic Mexican, but nowhere near the quality of service and experience. You ask for anything and it is out of the kitchen in minutes. They keep the things people order all the time on demand, what a concept that is so simple, but you never wait. You ask for salsa, a side of rice, beans, or something like that it's like they walk in the kitchen and right out. Compared to so many other places, it feels astronomical.
