The chips were alright, and the salsa was quite spicy. I got the chicken chimichanga, which comes with refried beans, guac and lettuce. I wish it had come with beans and rice instead as that is what most of their dishes come with. It was very tasty though. I loved the chicken. My vegetarian friend enjoyed her veggie enchiladas and house margarita. I was really vibing with the chimichanga. I could've eaten all of it, but I wanted a little bit to save for leftovers. Still on the hunt for good Mexican food in Belton. We've tried Coronas a few times and it is consistently mediocre, but this last visit pretty much ensured we won't be back. Our waitress basically whispered every time she spoke to us and didn't bother checking on us. The Dos XX was not cold and the lime wedges tasted old. The salsa is a 4/10 at best. We ordered cheese enchiladas and they were very bland, as was the rice and beans. Queso tasted like melted American cheese. Ambiance is typical Mexican. Booth or table. They also have outdoor seating. Service is prompt and regular. Constantly refilling your chips and salsa. Their salsa is quite good. The chips and salsa are addicting and you will need to not fill up on them as their serving sizes are plentiful. I like their chalupas/tostadas. Location is about all this spot has going for it! Belton has many great Mexican restaurants; this is not one. The fajitas were dry, steak had a gamey taste like it was old, and some unappetizing seasoning was used that made the flavor hard to stomach. Even the queso dip was off. It was chunky and tasted like it consisted mainly of a canned creamed soup. The kids did like the very little fries they got with their kids meals, but the food overall was gross. I asked for lettuce on a burger and they brought a plate that had chunks of cheese in it, as if it was scraped off another plate. The waitress was inattentive, drinks stayed empty. We won't be back. Love the location of this restaurant we've been here before, and the food and service is always good. I was trying to understand why the ratings were so low and on this visit I finally got a taste as to why. The enchiladas here are definitely not their best dish. I ordered beef fajita, tacos, myself, and though the meat was tasty, they had the tacos upside down, so all the grease and juices leaked out making the tacos soggy. Soggy tacos are not appetizing. Drink selection is good and we were happy with the margarita and Michelada. I would recommend this place because it has a great location and a very chill vibe. However, I would say don't get anything but fajitas, this way the tortillas are separate so they don't get soggy. read more

First we couldn't find the front door. We had a mobility impaired senior with us and you can't get close to the door. So we started off disappointed. Then we were seated in the dark side of the restaurant with no view of the river. (The main reason to go here.) The food was pretty good and we had a nice waitress. I asked for very hot enchiladas and they came out just above warm. It was really underwhelming when we were expecting a nice experience. The place wasn't busy so that wasn't an excuse for a mediocre dining experience. Will probably go elsewhere for better food and service in the future. read more

Let's start off with how dimly lit the place is... I had to use the light on my phone to read the menu. When I walk into a restaurant which is this dimly lit the first thing in my mind is how dirty this place must be for them to need the light this low. The service was slow and the waiter was mumbling when he spoke so it was hard to understand what he was saying. I ordered refried beans and was brought out charro beans. The tortillas were raw and doughy, store bought and not heated properly. The beans were obviously from a can and had no flavor. The carne asada was very stringy and bland. The veggie enchiladas were undercook, and bland. There was nothing authentic about this place. The food here is an insult to Mexican food. Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant. read more

A great spot for Mexican food!! I am a snob about chile rellenos, so I'm always hesitant to try one at new places. This one was very good, and I'd order it again. I wish the sauce they used on top was slightly better but nonetheless they know how to make a good one. The peach marg I got was very syrupy. It was tasty but not quite right. Salsa is very very delicious. Service was pretty good. They were busy but still were very polite, though I could tell they were a bit overwhelmed. However, the service is lacking. I never did get my glass of water, when I needed a refill on my lemonade no one stopped by, and it took them too long to refill our chips & salsa. This used to be my favorite Mexican food place . No consistency on getting your order correct. Ordered frozen margarita received one one the rocks had to send back . Asked for no tomatoes on taco obviously they put them had to pick them off and added extra on top of the guacamole .
