We came here the day before fathers day after leaving a restaurant for bad service. The staff was amazing the hosts other staff just walking around our waiter. I can't remember his name but i remember saying it was his first or second week there. HE WAS AMAZING! Super nice super informative! The food was amazing!! Everything was great but I was super disappointed that they removed the chicken fried fajita from the menu. This is what I always went there for. I got a chimichanga and while it was good it wasn't the reason I went there and I can get a chimichanga anywhere. I have to say for a place with fajita in it's name they don't really highlight the fajitas. But any who the food was good it could have used a little more seasoning but good. The waitress was amazing we never needed to ask for anything she was on top of it. And we arrived at opening so the restaurant was super clean. We were trying to decide where to go to eat fajitas, between Chilis and here. We decided here. Jessica was our bartender, she was very attentive and polite. We ordered fajitas, however the hot plate made them dry. I spoke with her and she understood. She took time to listen to my suggestion to lose the hot plate because it keeps cooking the food and will dry it out. She did not make us feel bad for voicing what we needed to say. Later , we found out she's a manager. I totally love that because we had no idea and she never made it about a title. She's a very good manager. The chimichanga was gummy. The server did not offer to remove our dirty plates. In the cleanliness department, the restaurant should close for a full day of deep cleaning. The hostess had to search for a clean booth for 2 of us. The bar menu was caked with dried hot sauce. The salt and pepper shakers were sticky. So I'm going to describe this place as 'hit or miss'. Some of the food is really good, and some of it is not good at all. I would say the majority rules on the good. The good: burritos, enchiladas, tacos, chips and queso and definitely the margaritas. Really good margs here!! The not so good: tortilla soup (harsh and too tomatoey), the stuffed avocado (did not care for the bland, strange texture of the coating, the avocado was bitter and the filling was flavorless), and the refried beans. Our server was pleasant, though we had to wait a very long time for our food. I can't say I love this place, but I would definitely give it another shot and just be more selective in what I ordered next time. I always order a chimichanga with guisada meat and even though that is not usually how it is ordered (fajita meat) they never disappoint how my food was made...The only thing I do not like is when I call to place the order over the phone I am told to order online which you cannot substitute orders so I have to get off work, drive to the restaurant, place the order, wait, and then I am always late back to work...it would be so much easier to just take the order over the phone so that I do not spend my whole lunchtime driving and waiting...but the end result is always great as far as food, but not with my manager. read more
