It made everything so much faster and easier. Just had to put in your order on a tablet and sit and wait! The first time I tried to come here it had just opened so it was packed. Luckily when I came here on a Saturday evening there was barely a wait! And then waiting for my order to be ready wasn't bad either. Can't wait to come here again and bring family from out of state here! Made my own whe I went ! Original cone with Nutella spread, Nutella swirl ice cream with biscoff cookies and Nutella drizzle Nutella was the weekly flavor that week!

Then comes crispy cones. I have never heard of this type of dessert before. People I was with called it chimney cakes and that the concept is popular across Europe. The shop itself feels kind of like a bakery or ice cream shop. Small seating, the kind for quick stops where you dont need lots of seating as the customers cycle through decently quick. Orders also come out pretty quick, maybe a delay if you get a warm dessert. As for my order, I didn't enjoy it but I ended up struggling with it. What I had was essentially a sweet sugar bread hollowed out and filled with apple pie filling. I think that is why they call it chimney cakes. Since it's a hollow cylinder type of thing and sweet goodness goes inside and it's basically a cake. It was warm and sweet and exactly as it sounds. It's good, but kind of hard to eat. I guess you bite into the bread and slowly pick at the filling with a spoon. But over time the cake goes below the cup it is in. It would be. Nice if there was a way to push it up out of the cup it's in, without touching with your hands. There is a spoon, but its not exactly strong enough to cut the. Bread into smaller bite sized pieces. Eventually you just have to get your hands messy by pulling it out and enjoying it like a pastry. I enjoyed my order, I just feel like there is a flawed design in how you actually eat these.

Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop specializing in traditional Chinese-style sweet dessert…read moresoups--comforting bowls built around ingredients such as red beans, sago, grass jelly, purple rice, tofu pudding, and almond. These desserts are common across Taiwan and much of East Asia, where sweet soups serve the role that cakes or pastries might in the West: a warm or cooling treat at the end of a meal or as an afternoon snack. The brand itself originated in Taichung, Taiwan, where it began as a small family shop inspired by traditional dessert recipes passed down through generations. Today Meet Fresh has expanded internationally, but the menu remains rooted in those classic Taiwanese dessert traditions. The menu includes hot and cold dessert soups, along with bubble teas, specialty drinks, ice creams, shaved ice desserts, and egg waffles--served plain or with a variety of fillings. I stopped in for a bowl of their Combo A hot red bean soup, topped with taro balls, fragrant red beans, crunchy peanuts, and soft, chewy boba. I also ordered a hot almond milk. For those unfamiliar with it, red bean soup is one of the classic desserts of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Made from adzuki beans simmered until soft, it has a naturally earthy sweetness that is comforting without being overly sugary. It's often served hot in cooler weather and chilled in summer. The bowl here was generous and piping hot, exactly what you want from a dessert soup. The sweetness was well balanced--sweet, but not cloying--and the toppings added layers of texture that kept each spoonful interesting. The taro balls are another Taiwanese specialty: chewy dumplings made from taro and sweet potato starch with a texture somewhere between mochi and gnocchi. These were nicely elastic and pleasantly chewy. The peanuts added crunch, while the boba pearls brought their familiar soft chew, making the bowl a fun mix of textures. The hot almond milk was fragrant and soothing. In Chinese dessert culture this type of almond drink is often made from apricot kernels (sometimes called "Chinese almonds"), which gives it a slightly different aroma than Western almond milk. This one was very tasty, though it leaned a bit sweeter than I personally prefer. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the shop has ample seating, making it easy to sit and enjoy your dessert rather than rushing out the door. For anyone curious about Taiwanese desserts--or simply looking for something beyond cakes and pastries--Meet Fresh offers a comforting introduction to a whole world of sweet soups, chewy toppings, and traditional dessert flavors. I would happily return to explore more of the menu.

Meet Fresh is an international chain serving up Taiwanese desserts- shaved iced and grass jelly…read moredesserts along with milk tea and waffle creations. I'd recommend creating a custom dessert for what I felt like is better value, and coming at an off-hour due to the difficulty of finding parking in the plaza. --- Meet Fresh has a wide variety of desserts available: -Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice (L)- I shared it between 4 people, and while it was a good size and I enjoyed the toppings, personally it felt too expensive for the amount of ice! I would be on the fence reordering this. -Signature Grass Jelly (hot)- This came with a side of peanuts. For the relatively expensive signature grass jelly dish, I was a bit disappointed at the ratio of grass jelly to toppings. I would pass next time. -Custom icy grass jelly with 5 toppings [sesame rice balls, taro ball, ice cream, sago, and Q mochi (taro mochi)]- This came with a side of creamer. I really enjoyed both the flavor and toppings in the custom icy grass jelly!! The ratio of toppings was better for sure, but it is a more expensive option. I'd probably still go for this option next time. The restaurant is more or less self-service. It is self-seating. You first order at the kiosk or counter, and then retrieve your order once your number is called. Later, you take your tray and clean up yourself. The interior can seat fairly large groups, maybe 20-40 people total depending on how you sit. One of the biggest obstacles to enjoying Meet Fresh is finding parking in the hectic and overcrowded parking lot. I'd find it hard to justify fighting to find parking for Meet Fresh until I had something else to also do in the plaza. Overall, our group had pretty mixed ratings, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend coming when you're willing to splurge on a custom dessert creation.

We asked for a non nut allergic option for some of the package offerings and they were happy to adjust it. No worries there. Interior is conducive for tea, conversations and quality time with loved ones. All in all, good time was had by us without breaking the bank or having to go into the city for a fancy hotel experience. We made reservations, but didn't need to. That said, by the time we left around 5-6 place was full. In a mall with lots of parking, other Asian restaurants near by. This place is a chain with other stores in various areas. Clearly a model that works.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

It was at night on a Saturday so many of the shelves were empty but they still had a few things left. Sunmerry appears to be a chain but one that I have never visited before until now so I can't really comment on what they have, but I did manage to grab: MATCHA CLOUD DONUT - This reminded me vaguely of the im donut donuts I tried in NYC. Very soft and pillowy and filled to the brim with a lightly sweet, matcha filling. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this. RED BEAN MATCHA BAGEL - it's a matcha dough with red bean filling BUT the filling doesn't go all the way around. It goes maybe 65% so if you're splitting this with someone like I did, fingers crossed you both get a decent amount. The bagel was soft and in a bagel shape but it lacked the chew of a bagel. The filling was nice and different but the matcha taste was subtle - if that. Overall, liked the idea, but I wanted more of a bagel chew than what I got and to taste the matcha better. Maybe even have a more even share of the red bean. COFFEE BRIOCHE LOAF - my husband liked this one! Which is good because I got it for him. This is quite good. Soft, lightly sweet with a coffee top. We ate this maybe 12 hours after and much of the top layer had "melted" and gotten on the cellophane but it was still delicious. Perfection. I definitely scraped off the coffee bits from the cellophane so it didn't go to waste. PINEAPPLE BUN W/ MILK - I grabbed this one thinking there was a filling inside and there wasn't. I don't know if the bun was placed in the wrong location or the name is telling me the bun isn't vegan but it's a good pineapple bun but without anything inside, it was a tad dry. Maybe it needs a pat of butter like they do in HK. MELON PAN - I haven't had this in a good long while so I got it for fun. It's smaller than the pineapple bun and the topping is a little sweeter - I remember crunching on sugar crystals. It's not bad but also not filled so it's a tiny bit on the dry side. The place has tables to the side where you can enjoy your goodies. I didn't stay too long but they definitely serve drinks and delicious cakes as well. The staff were nice and the place seemed on the dim side. Fingers crossed I can go back during the day to get a better idea of what they have! In the meantime, this is a good place for an Asian bakery fix. They do list out ingredients under the names of their baked goods so that's awesome! From what I could see, their baked goodies are likely not vegan or gluten-free friendly, though...

They also offer tea, coffee, and refreshing fruit drinks in the summer. My go-to items are the almond croissant and the coconut buns, but the donuts are flaky and tasty too. They even have a membership program that gives you dollars off your purchases--definitely worth joining if you come often. Overall, if you're looking for a bakery to try, this place is absolutely worth a visit. There's plenty of parking and a few tables where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your treats.
