Food was very good and generous. I had a Malogapodi Mysore Masala Dosa, and tasted tge Khoya Kaju. Both were very good and satisfying. For me Dosa's are comfortable food anyway though. It tasted like milk rice .. never had this type of pongal before :) idol was ok but chutney / Sambar was average . Onion oothappam was good . This restaurant always fills wrong orders. Customer can choose if they want hot or mild, etc. But don't think they pay mind to it. I've requested mild several times and gotten very spicy hot food. Once again they sent me wrong item than what I ordered, something else instead of Upma. And you can see it has tons of chillies in there. read more

This is worst place to visit. Staff will ask you to order Soup, Starter, Main course and Desert all at a time (Don't know why) and will bring all food together. I went to restaurant on Thanksgiving and place was quite empty. Staff asked me to order all food at a time so it will be easy for them to serve. I have been enjoying lunch buffets at this place for quite sometime and have found them to be consistently good. First, it's a 100% veg place - so if you want to see wonderful assortment of foods that are possible without meat, give them a try. No really, I have never seen so many buffet offerings at any place! They usually have 5-7 appetizers, 6-8 main entrees, a couple of soups, salads, chutneys, and 3-4 desserts. And, all of them are usually pretty good. You are guaranteed to find something that you will want seconds of. I love their apps the most. Pani puri was perfect on this day. They also had crisp potatoes served with puri (deep fried puffed wheat bread) - delicious!. This place is all about choices. As If the main buffet selections were not good enough, they also include a choice of dosa (rice crepes stuffed with sautéed onions and potatoes) with three to pick from. And, their dosa is no limpy offering to boost the count - a bonafide entree on its own right served with proper accompaniment of coconut chutney and sambar (a spicy soupy preparation). For dessert, go for the Carrot Halwa (carrot boiled with thick creme and sugar and sprinkled with cardamom, cashews and yellow raisins) and skip the rest. Of course, need to get your doc's clearance before you indulge - but sample you must! A big plus - unlike other Indian places which don't offer bowls (katoris) for soupy dishes (so clumsy of them!) - they have a stack of steel bowls so that you can stay civilized (but you can still slurp)! A word for the service - though this is a buffet place, the wait staff was very friendly and almost made it look like a semi-table service affair. This is a pretty solid Vegetarian Indian choice in the area. I've been here many times over the past several years, always for lunch or late afternoon snack. People often opt for the veg buffet (I think it's $10-$13 depending in whether it's a weekday or not), and it's pretty good. Also comes with a dosa that is made to order. I'm usually not a fan of buffets though, just because it's just too much food for me. So we usually opt to order off the menu. The idili, vada, and dosas are all tasty. Masala chai is good too---it's real chai, not the stuff that comes from a box. They also now have special nights, like Dosa night and Chaat night on certain weekday nights, where you get unlimited dosa/chaat. Rated only on weekday lunch buffet for $11.95. Did not know it's a Vegetarian buffet only. Overall the place was nice and clean with Ok food. Overall I would give this place 2 1/2 stars. Came here around 2pm on Thursday for lunch with three other people and it was the first time for all of us. There were several sauces, a few cold salads choices and a few items for dessert. Also, there was a decant amount of vegetarian selections at the hot station of the buffet. The hot food was kind of lukewarm but when we asked the server if we could have one item that we really liked heated up he accommodated us and brought a bowl of it to our table. Like most other places they bring Naan to your table whether plan or garlic, one thing I noticed that they need to make an effort not to bring burnt Naan to the table. One thing that is not common in other places I have gone to is that here they give you a cup of Mango Lassi which is a yogurt drink and also a Dosa which is a thin rice crepe filled with potatoes & onions complimentary to each of us at our table. Lovely South Indian restaurant in Piscataway NJ. I am a huge fan of dosa and this place does it like no other! As a vegetarian, it's so refreshing to find a menu as expansive is the one here with so many options. First of all the sambhar and rasam is delicious. The tomato chutney is something I dream about. I've come here time and time again with my whole family as there is always something for everyone. They have some Jain options as well for people who don't eat onion or garlic. Also they give a complementary rasam when you first come in. I've come here to dine many times and here are the three different types of services I've seen: 1. Dinner menu is very nice.
