The sushi is on point and the drinks, happy hour 2 for $9, gave you the perfect buzz and trust me I can throw them back lol. The food was good, but this place left me utterly disappointed. I came here with my friend a few years ago, and maybe things have changed since then, but our servers attitude was unacceptable. My friend ordered a tuna avocado roll and she was brought a just an avocado roll, and it would be okay if she misheard, but instead of correcting it, she argued with my friend, telling her: "this is what you ordered." which as an objective third person, I even heard her ask for tuna avocado, so needless to say, I was shocked by the interaction and behavior. As always, yelp is a place for people to discuss their personal tastes and experiences, so what works for one person, might not for another. I hope that this establishment has a solid team and corrects rude behavior that is brought to their attention. Had a great meal tonight. Ordered on their website and pickup was easy. Was covid friendly and the place is clean and everyone is wearing masks. The food is delicious as I remember. It's been a while since I ordered but will add Masago back into the rotation. Ordered aloud of food and it was all great. Fish was super fresh and solid quality. I'm really unsure of how to rate this place. First time I went me and a friend were the only ones there and the whole time the waitress was tapping her foot and everyone was staring at us. We asked to substitute a pork dumpling for a chicken and it took about 15 minutes for them to understand what we wanted to do. Went there tonight and it was packed but we were seated quickly. Friend got a chicken teriyaki, I got 2 special rolls. Waitress brought the chicken teriyaki box by accident, no fault there it was loud. Easily replaced no hassle. My rolls however took around 50 minutes to get to me, that's a really long time to me, and I feel it could have been faster. The weirdest thing though, as many others will talk about is the pricing. Every item is discounted, so the food is cheap but the tip is calculated from the undiscounted total. It feels like a scam but everyone just let's it slide because all in all, the food is actually pretty good. Also the wasabi they use DEFINITELY is fake. read more

Service worked fast as in food came in fast which was great but also felt a bit rushed through out my meal.. shell come and see if our edamame plate was empty to remove but we still had some bits left. Better when ordered with a protein (we got just veg once and it was kind of bland) Special Rolls - very good, taste fresh. They vary in size though - some are monstrous while some are more like regular sushi pieces, so you may want to consider that when ordering. This place is a scam. The prices are listed with discounts to show it's a deal but it's not. with the discount the prices are comparable or slightly more expensive then it should be. Reason being at the time of the bill they tell you to tip based on the undiscounted price. Which is more then double what the tip should be. They don't mention this at all till the end. Also if you tip based on the discount they will mention it and said you tipped too low. Food wise it's mediocre it's neither good nor bad. Very unremarkable. I have it for two stars cause the service was actually good for the waiter we had. He was very attentive and nice considering we had a child with us. read more

The side orders: The wonton soup broth was really miso broth. The 2 wontons were good. The salad was a very small salad with a few leaves of lettuce and one tomato. On to the main course: The General Tso's Chicken can best be described as "sweet tasteless lumps" as there was no flavor whatsoever to this dish. The lumps were covered in a syrupy glaze - not sauce. Hidden beneath these lumps were a few skinny, shriveled up string beans. I did not dare try them. They looked like they had been sitting in the steamer for a couple of days. "50% off sushi bar" Gotta admit, with the price of sushi, this is what first attracted me to this place. Though sometimes I think this is just a gimmick, where they bump up the price to begin with and make you feel like you're saving. The decor is modern and not too busy. The staff I've come across when I get take out were friendly, however, when we dined in, they made it a point to remind us too many times to tip based on the full price, which was bordering on rude. My other concern is that most of the rolls are "tempura-ed" and/or sauce-laden with sweet sauces like mango or strawberry; a drizzling is okay for me, but sometimes it can be overpowering making it hard to taste the fish. a few signature rolls I've enjoyed: tuna amazing - big fan of white tuna long beach roll - I like the asparagus on this one sushi cake - the pepper tuna in this one offsets the mango sauce jeter roll - this one gets points for being innovative, even though it's both "tempura-ed" and has mango sauce. The sashimi is alright, not bad but nothing too memorable either. As for my 3F's, Fresh, Fulfilling, and Flavorful, this place seems to just fall short of my criteria (not counting the extreme sweetness flavor of the sauces). The first time i thought it was a fluke, the second time i knew it was the restaurant going downhill, the final time was for a birthday and i ate a roll off of someone else's plate.
