I am a regular customer because this place makes some of the best Chinese food on Long Island. Hands down their Wanton soup is the best I have ever had. Flavorful, delicate dumplings in a rich broth with crispy fried noodles on the side. My next go to's are the boneless spare ribs and the orange chicken. I always ordered the ribs on the bone but kept seeing everyone order the boneless. Both are excellent but trust me the boneless are delicious. Today is Sunday October 30th it was 10:35 pm i was was late and i was hungry . I was told not to order from this place because the food was no good. But, I figured maybe it was what they had ordered before. So, I placed an order . Let me say , never again, so disgusted by this place. The some of my shrimp fried rice was cold and under cooked and so was the shrimp. I ordered beef with onions. Like 4 small pieces of beef and all onions not to mention the wonton over fried. Stopped here late one night on the way home when options were limited given the time. Yelp guided me to the strip mall where Trader Joe's in Oceanside is. This place is tucked way in the back. I've seen it dozens of times so I figured, why not give it a try? I only ordered a General Tso's dinner combo and some dumplings, standard Chines/American fare, but was pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome, plentiful, and I liked that my rice options were pork, chicken or vegetable fried rice, or plain white or brown rice. That was a twist for sure. Tonight I placed my order in for king wok. I waited an hour and half I called to ask where's my food?? She said can you come get it?? I said I waited for delivery!! I went to get it. When you call in for an order, and the woman is yelling at you ... That's a sign hang up and order somewhere else. But a hungry tummy can lead to BAD decision making. Here is a prime example: I ordered chicken wings with garlic sauce. And requested hot oil. An hour later the food arrives. No garlic sauce and no hot oil. I call back informing the rude woman of the same. She yells back "garlic sauce is $1 and I didn't charge you!" Really a buck for a little condiment!?! But whatever fine! 1 Star but honestly if I could give it a 1/2 star I would. First off, the woman who answers the phone was screaming so loud she gave me an instant headache. I ordered 2 entrees, a vegetable and soup, a lo mein, a chicken with cashew, a broccoli with garlic sauce and egg drop and a wonton. At the 1.15 hour mark I was calling asking where my delivery was, the screamers only response to me over and over was, "yeah, yeah.okay, okay" 15 minutes and hung up." To me that meant they forgot my food. 15 minutes goes by and still no food, you'd think I lived miles away but no, I live less than a half a mile. I call again and I'm told 5 minutes, then 2 minutes, then 5 minutes again, it was an hour and a half since I placed my order. I said to him which is it? I said if it's 5 minutes I'm canceling my order so don't bring it. Next thing we know there's a knock on the door. As my daughter and I start opening bags we realize her broccoli isn't there, I call back, the screamer answers again and I said I waited for one and a half hours and my order was wrong. She screams back at me that I never ordered it but it was the first thing I even said. I will never order from King Wok again. Also, the food was cold and so salty, my tongue is burning, I feel like I just licked a salt shaker. Guess Oscar the Grouch is eating this food in my garbage can tonight. Worst experience ever!! The driver couldn't find the address!! I gave him directions 6times!! I wasted my 2h15mn break waiting on food ! When I called them to just cancel my order and get my money back , the Chinese lady on the phone was just so mean , refusing to talk to me me ! Good takeout - fast delivery.

Decided to try this Chinese take out for the first time based on decent Yelp reviews. We ordered on Saturday 2/20/16. In all honesty, I was looking for something a bit more upscale as far as taste and freshness. The boneless spare ribs were skinny and kind of hard to chew but they did have a good taste. The pepper steak and onion did have a good taste. The egg roll was small and really lacked in any bold flavor and didn't have much pork at all. The white rice was kind of dry and didn't taste fresh at all. The pork fried rice was OK but would have loved to see big chunks of pork. I think that makes the rice when you have pork over taking the appearance of the rice. Also ordered the 4 season chef special. It had good flavor, decent amount of product. My favorite was the appetizer sliced pork. It was sliced thin, very soft to chew and great sauce. That was a winner. Prices were not bad at all. I would definitely try some other types of dishes in the future. There were many chef specialties on the menu. Would like to try them out. read more
