Clean friendly ordered flautas. No flavor. Not authentic Mexican , more American Mexican. Homemade chips not appealing and salsas all tasted like cumin. We should have done the drive to mission cantina.

This place is absolutely magical. Their Beria tacos are so good and I would love to come back here. This is probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in Northampton so if you're ever in the area, definitely stop by.

A great casual spot for tacos, quesadillas, and bowls (you order at the counter and they bring your food to you). I really appreciated the house-made plant protein option on offer (but would always love more options). I got the masa bowl which was really tasty! I also tried the torta and their chips and salsa--the salsa in particular was great and tasted fresh. I'd definitely try the plantains next time. The service was pretty quick, too. And not too expensive!

Achiote Fried Chicken Torta

The sandwich and the bowls were super fresh and delicious! The chips were pretty thick and tough to eat but the delicious salsa and guac made up for it! Margaritas were strong but I have no complaints! Great small place in Florence to get some fresh Mexican.

First time visitor to Masa Mexicano. The food is real, quite authentic, though I did note the flavor of beans, rice was a bit tepid. But otherwise, if you are looking for some authentic good Mexican food, I would definitely consider visiting. The greeters and servers are quite welcoming, especially to newbies, and they took the time to inform us in detail about some of the selections; specials are listed off to the left of the central ordering counter. You may dine indoors or outdoors as weather permits. But that being said, when all is said and done I don't think I will return. Why? The prices! I just cannot afford $4. Mexican sodas, or the cost of all the various sides and entrees. It was unbelievable how fast the total surged. I can't afford this, especially for a lunch. Consider yourself lucky if you can.

My wife is great at finding cool food when we're road-tripping. Masa Mexicano was a Yelp pick based upon the 5 Star rating and we visited on a Friday night at a prime dinner time. MM is located in a small plaza about 10 minutes off Exit 25 of 91N. They have modern takes on Mexican classics like tortas, tacos and quesadillas, etc. There was a 10 minute line when we arrived. After you order, you pick an inside or outside table and they bring your food when it is done. It took about 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered, because they were very busy with both dine in and takeout. I only mention the wait to highlight their popularity. Service was friendly and they were clearly doing the best they could given all the customers. You can order ahead if you're better organized than we were. Our family of 3 loved everything we tried. My wife had fried fish tacos and raved about them, which she is not especially likely to do. So they must have been great. My 10 y.o. ordered grilled chicken tacos for the first time and loved them. That's a big win as he continues to explore new foods. My Achiote Fried Chicken Torta was delicious. The breaded chicken cutlet was tender inside and had great texture outside. The bread was fresh and up to the job. The toppings which I think included achiote paste, tomato, a mild red cabbage type slaw, pickled red onions, a tangy sauce or two, and white Mexican cheese crumbles. It was a modern/fusion take on a torta rather than a traditional one and I loved it. The seasoned rice, tortilla chips, Guac, house salsa and refried beans were all good. MM is clearly a popular place performing at a high level. I get and agree with with the 5 Star Rating.

This place is super cute and the food is amazing. So far I have tried the fried chicken sandwich and the blue plate special lunch. The pulled beef is the star of the tacos. This is tender well seasoned beef on soft tortilla shells. I chose the salad and the rice as my sides, very yummy. The homemade salad dressing was amazing as well. I look forward to trying more items from their menu, as I started a job near by.

Tacos, sauces, rice, beans

I walked in and immediately knew this would be the spot. We ordered guac, chips, rice, beans, horchata, and all of the tacos with all of the sauces. We had to try as much as we could! Everything was delicious and fresh but the best of it all for me was simply the tortillas. The masa is wonderful; well hydrated, perfect thickness, just so beautiful. Service was great - they are excited about their food and with good reason. Would definitely recommend.

Masa's chicken tacos are bite-sized but delicious, making them easy to eat without having to worry about making a mess.

Walking in, we had a big party so they were able to have us seat at the booth near the entrance…read more You do have to self-order at the counter but they do bring your food to the table. If you're ordering drinks, they usually will call your drink out at the bar. I was surprised that they didn't have chips n salsa as a complimentary snack for the table while the food is being made. I'm assuming it's due to this not really being a seated restaurant, where a server takes down your order. They have chips n guac available for purchase. The guac actually tastes delicious. I ordered la Sopa Azteca, it wasn't too bad...if you don't like too many oils in your soup I wouldn't purchase. I ordered the Plato Durango for my entree, as well as a side of rice, and to be honest, the entree wasn't even that warm when it was brought to me. I didn't enjoy it much. It's also incredibly expensive, my meal was $35 for just the soup, rice, and entree.

If you want good, authentic Mexican, go somewhere else. Let's start with the chips. They were cold,…read moreand they even charged for them. The salsa, while having a large variety, all lacked in flavor, seasoning, and spice. The chicken enchiladas tasted like water somehow. They are made with corn tortillas that just fell apart at just the first bite. The burrito bowl was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I mean, it was simply lettuce and chicken with unmelted, cold queso. The Pollo Ala Veracruzana was DRY. DRY. The tortillas were not properly warmed and felt like it had been sitting for a while. For our shrimp cocktail, it was too thick with not enough juice, filled with more onions than shrimp. On top of that, they gave us tortilla chips rather than saltine crackers. The seating was awful inside, and everything just felt off. However, they somehow perfected the rice.

This time I got the braised pork and polenta and this one is on me because I don't usually like braised pork or polenta too much but it sounded interesting and I wanted to try it. It wasn't my favorite but that's more about my taste than anything. The peach crumble was absolutely spectacular and I'm glad they learned from last time and made the ice cream sweeter (the creme fraiche on the dessert I got last time was not sweet whatsoever). Can't wait to see what's on the menu next time I'm here! 7/3/25: God, I love it here! This year, I got two mocktails, the ruby Tuesday and orange lovely, because I couldn't choose and loved both of them! Then I started with the pickled carrots which were absolutely delectable. The turmeric honey and chili oil sauce was absolutely PERFECT. If I wasn't worried about social standing I would've licked that plate clean. I never thought I would enjoy eating carrots so much. Then came my queso mac and cheese that I took myself I would only eat half of so I could take the rest home and not hurt my stomach but I couldn't help myself. This was one of the best mac and cheese I've ever ordered at a restaurant. It was made with cotijia, had tortilla chips and cilantro in it with onion on top to pull it all together. Chef's kiss. I had to get dessert since I only come once a year and this orange almond cake was SOOOO GOOOD ughhhh I wish this restaurant was in Westchester I'm an avid nuts-in-dessert hater and this cake had me eating spoonfuls of almonds. I think they converted me. It was so moist and sticky and beautiful and the almonds were perfectly toasted and crispy without being like chewing on rocks. I am obsessed. 10/11/25: Back at my favorite restaurant! Got to have some new variations of the great things I loved in the past: fire roasted peppers (this time with ricotta!) and pickled carrots with turnips. I also got the orange lovely again because it was favorite of the two I got last time. So yummy still! I also got the general tso cauliflower and it was so good but also spicy!! Now this butter braised tomato soup was absolutely fantastic. Best tomato soup I've ever had. And the plum galette was perfection. I really have no notes because as I keep saying, everything I ever get from here is absolutely fantastic.
