Stopped into MaryAnn's diner on a Friday morning. The diner was pretty full, with most of the booths/tables taken, but not too crazy. While our waitress did greet us and take our drink order in normal time, everything else took super long. It took almost another 20 minutes to get our drinks (she forgot one hot coffee for about 75% of the meal) and then another 10 before we got to place our food order. Maybe 15 minutes after putting the food order in, she came to tell us that they were out of one entree, a special, and then more time to come back with a menu and to grab an alternate order. Overall, the food was fine. I got the Gronkowski scramble, which has hash browns, peppers, onions and cheese, with kielbasa and eggs on top. The scramble was pretty tasty although somewhat greasy. My toast had too much butter on it. I also ordered a pumpkin cream cheese muffin. The waitress asked if I wanted it grilled which surprised me. I said no, but alas, out came a muffin cut in half toasted with butter. The muffin was good, but the butter taste definitely took away from the pumpkin flavor. All and all, we were there for 2 hours, which seems insane for a diner breakfast. We had a baby who was getting fussy and ready to go. When the waitress finally took our card, she stopped to chat with a friend as we looked at her ready to leave. Unfortunately, the service really clouded the overall experience. The food was fine and the interior/decor was fun. Everything had that whole 50's diner feel, all the way down to the waitresses outfits.

Throw back 1950's classic rock and roll restaurant with pictures of famous people and musicians. The waitresses are very pleasant dressed in their dresses that they wore during the 50s. They have Bloody Mary's and mimosas .The food was very good as well just like I ordered potatoes and onions were cooked perfect bacon was very tasty to eggs are delicious anyway.

    Simple breakfast but very good.

Food came out in a flash. Breakfast is always good here. Love the 50s vibe in this dinner. The waitress was attentive to anything I asked for. Service was excellent. I will be back.

    Before we ordered, cute decor.

Great food if you are in the mood for Old school diner food. They also have many funky omelet options.

The service is always amazing and the food is always on point and it never disappoints. The ambiance is like a typical diner with booths, no loud music so you can talk to your party. Let's get down to the food. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- this is my go to because I love it! It's not overly sweet which I love and it reminds me on a cinnamon bun. I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

I ordered "The Cadillac" breakfast that consisted of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, sausage, bacon, homefries, and toast. I asked if I could sub in corned beef hash instead of the two meats. I was told I'd have to buy a side of hash. I agreed and told them to hold the bacon and sausage. The eggs, over easy, were quite small snd dwarfed by everything else on the plate. There was little yolk. The home fries tasted as if they'd been on the grill for quite a while. The pancakes were rubbery, as it took effort getting a knife through them. The hash that cost extra, tasted like it came out of a can. On the positive side our server was terrific and I loved and appreciated the "golden oldies" rock 'n roll music. These two points earned them the 2nd star. But unfortunately it was not enough to offset the very disappointing breakfast.

Meatloaf, country fried steak, and a BLT were the other orders. I asked for the gravy on the side. Unfortunately I did not have my phone with me but the turkey was dry and the gravy literally looked like grease. The veggies were hot and cold and the potatoes were just really weird. The waitress was a bit rude but I feel like my aunt saying cod has worms while asking if the fish was haddock or cod probably didn't help. Lol When the manager came by it was my mom who spoke up about the turkey dinners. We had only eaten about 25 percent because we were hungry. She did take 25 percent off the bill although I felt it should have been closer to 50. We did like the cute airplane decor and the old timey feel but most likely won't return for quite some time. Noone enjoyed their food.
