Sausage Biscuits & Gravy
Lisa S.

Always looking to try new places and this was a gem. Sundays they have homemade sausage gravy and it did not disappoint! Large pieces of sausage in flavorful gravy with homemade biscuits and home fries. The Brooks omelette was delicious with hash browns cooked in it. The place was packed but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table (I would have waited much longer for this meal again if I have too). The place is so clean and the team is so friendly it runs like a well oiled machine with everyone working together. We will be back!

Stopped today for the first time, sausage biscuits and gravy was the best I've had. Toast was awesome not just loaf of bread. The staff was extremely friendly. Will go back for sure.

We love this place! Had to do some shopping in Clay so we opted to go a bit early and have breakfast a short distance down 481 at Maryann's. Food and service are consistently good. We arrived on Sunday about 9:30-10 and although there were a number of cars in the lot we were seated right away. Food delivers quick and hot as ordered very quickly here so turnaround is speedy and wait is never long. We both got the number 4 which is two eggs however you want them, choice of bacon, ham, or sausage links patties or Italian, home fries or hash browns, choice of toast, and two slices of French toast. I went over medium, hash browns, Italian (it's homemade) toast, and bacon. My son had the eggs same way, bacon, and home fries. We also had a side of corned beef hash which is perfectly crisped on the edges. We both had juice which is served in full size glasses not mini juice glass. No we definitely did not finish our meals and always take some home. Warm and friendly atmosphere you feel like you are dining in a home. Christmas decor tasteful and not overdone. Cash only with tip $45 another meal each in the take aways.

You're not going to find a better meal! And make sure you get the homemade toast! Best diner ever.

I've been meaning to try the food here for some time, and it was amazing, I should've come here…read moresooner. I came on Sunday for the brunch menu, highly recommend the Brekki pizza, I think Brekki is Icelandish for breakfast, but I'm not sure. If you have James as your waiter or bartender, ask him to do his British accent, it's very good. He's famous for it.

We were craving the delicious burgers from Lock 1 so here we are. The kitchen is only open Thursday…read more- Saturday but we heard they are enlarging the kitchen so maybe the hours will change, it's a good idea to call ahead. Friday is the burger special, it has beef and brisket and is juicy and delicious. The bun is always nicely toasted and it comes with cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes and fries. The fries are hot and crispy but there was a bit too much salt ( for me), so next time I'll remember to ask for no salt. My friend had no problem with the salt. My friend ordered the soup of the day which was Corn Chowder with Shrimp. It sounded good but I know if I have soup, I can't finish lunch. As soon as they brought out the soup and I had just a spoonful..... I had to get a bowl. Plenty of shrimp and corn , lots of flavor and it was smooth and light and delicious. I am not a fan of chowders that are thick as "pudding". We didn't have any drinks this time, but they have an amazing list of ciders, ales, beers on tap. Their own distilled spirits are excellent as well. Service is always good!

My friend heard about this bakery /diner and we knew we needed to try it. It's a real "hometown"…read moreplace where everyone seems to know each other. Everybody was extremely friendly and welcoming. They bake their own bread, rolls, English muffins and pizza crust. They also had a selection of donuts. I had to have the homemade chicken and black bean soup. I thought it would be thick and tomatoey, but the chicken, beans and vegetables were in an incredible broth... I could have had a cup of broth and been happy. It was so good I took home a large container. My 1 egg cheese omelette was a perfect choice with one off their homemade English muffins on the side. After having the soup, I knew I couldn't eat a lot so "smaller" portions are perfect. My friend enjoyed her hash and eggs and home fries. We left with take outs of soup, pizza crust and English muffins. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Walked in and they had the donuts and bread straight ahead and diner to the right. We were greeted like family and told to sit anywhere. They had daily specials and a decent sized menu. I chose the hash with bacon and loaded potatoes. My friend the soup, one egg omelet and English muffin (they make them in house). My hash was not salty but a little rich for me. I liked the potatoes because they were grilled and not deep fried. My friend really raved about the soup and ordered some to take home. The English muffins were huge and delish. We ended up meeting the owners (brothers) and they were so friendly! It seemed like everyone in the place were regulars. I tried Boston cream donut and it was good but could have used some more filling. Took home 6 English muffins and a pizza shell. We are enjoying the English muffins for breakfast and the pizza shell is one of the best I've ever gotten in a bakery. This is not a fancy place but I love the vibe and the people and will be back
