I called Maryms to order flowers. I was calling from out of state and did not know what I would actually get. when I walked into the funeral home I was pleasantly impressed by the quality and design of the spray. it really far exceeded my expectations. I definitely got my money's worth and the flowers were fresh and gorgeous. I explained when ordering I wanted the floral to be a expression of my love. Maryms did exactly that using roses, calla lilies, orchids, and several other high end flowers. I personally have been a florist for over 40 years and I highly recommend this florist. read more

Called Mary M's that morning and asked for flowers to be delivered. They had a beautiful bouquet delivered to the restaurant that was waiting for us at the table when we arrived. I would not recommend getting any type of flowers from this establishment. On Friday (11/25/22), my mother, father and aunt went in to order flowers for my grandmother's funeral. The lady working the front gave the impression my family was an inconvenience for even trying to order flowers for a funeral. She also kept trying to sell another color of flowers to my family that were not what the family wanted. When my mother broke down, there was no sympathy. The customer service was not impressive and very disappointing. If this is how this establishment treats their customers, they are in the wrong type of business. Unfortunately, I have to actually put a 1 for the rating on here. Otherwise, it would be 0. My family went to another flower shop (in Spencer) and did not give Mary M's their business. read more

My friend in Chicago ordered flowers delivered to my home. Mary M's left the flowers out on my doorstep with no cellophane around them in mid-November! None of the leaves were stripped off the stems so the water was already brown when I changed it out. I don't know how much my friend spent, but I hope it wasn't a lot because it was just a 11 roses (not a dozen?), common orange lilies and and 3 stems of blue flowers. All the rest of was filler. So far the roses haven't drooped, which sometimes happens with bad bouquets, so that's why I'm giving a 3 rating. read more

I stopped in the store to get my wife flowers because she was feeling ill. The staff member named Beth was rude and very condescending. I just wanted a bouquet of sunflowers and Lily's and she just made me feel like I was asking for to much so I told her I was going to another shop to see if they could do what I ask. With 3 hours until closing, I called (on advice of the funeral home) when my uncle asked me to help send a sympathy arrangement for a service on the following day from him and his wife who lost their niece. The woman speaking to me said that they'd "already taken the orders today" and wouldn't be able to help. She actually suggested that I contact someone IN THE FAMILY to pick something up from them. I am updating my review to a 3 star. They asked for my review of their delivery and I provided my honest opinion. They didn't apologize for the poor quality of the flowers but they did offer to send a new arrangement. Unfortunately, I had to notify them that their second delivery never occurred as promised. They finally did send a new arrangement (a week and 4 days after Valentine's Day). The final arrangement was fresh, beautiful and double the quantity of the originally ordered roses. If this new arrangement had been what I received originally I would have rated it 4.5 but since I experienced all the prior issues, I'm averaging out my final rating to a 3. read more

Just left the shop after being treated so poorly. We arrived at 5:15 just to get 2 bouquets of white flowers (we had in mind peonies but definitely were not picky about which flowers). We stopped in just to grab two bouquets, nothing fancy at all and figured a flower shop would have nicer flowers than a grocery store. Right away the woman in the store (I think the owner) was sort of rude and snappy. She said very loudly "is it a quarter after because we can't make you anything right now" to remind us they close in 15 minutes. We didn't need anything super exotic or anything made, we just wanted a white bouquet of flowers. We were aware of the time they closed and after feeling not welcome, we certainly were sure to be out of there as fast as possible... I really like picking flowers from the cooler and then having them make a beautiful bouquet. I've had my daughter's prom corsage, a casket spread for my step Dad, bouquets for family sick in the hospital (which they delivered), center pieces for parties and much more. The plant was not the same size as they show online, a little pricey, and they spelled my name wrong. Also they didn't have what I wanted and picked out on their website. Which is kind of upsetting because I already ordered and had to had a replacement plant I wasn't interested in. They do deliver fast and all the flowers were bloomed. read more

We told Jamie our grandfather was a huge IU fan and would want red and white and she made the most spectacular arrangement you have ever seen! I'm out of state, and called Mary M's to have a bouquet delivered. I wanted something that wasn't your typical roses and carnations, so I gave them a dollar figure and said to come up with something fabulous and fresh. My friend, the recipient, sent me a picture. It's got orchids, lilies, a sunflower, a lot of great greenery, and other blooms. It sounds like it wouldn't jive, but it looks great - fabulous and over the top. The office employees tried to claim it, my friend loved it and the bouquet apparently filled her office with the smell of springtime. The phone manner of the woman who took my order was lovely and she assured me they had a fresh shipment of flowers coming the day the bouquet was to be arranged. I would definitely go back to them. I certainly got more than my money's worth. I love a place where you can order "off the menu" so to speak, and get more than you expected. Thanks Mary M's! read more

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS HERE! They try to cheat you out of what you order, and they are mostly staffed with rude high school/early college age girls with NO customer service skills! I came into the shop in person looking to order flowers for a friend, for pick-up 3 days later; I advised the woman at the counter that I just wanted a full, bright arrangement that included bright orange/red roses and a couple of the big sunflowers. She even brought me examples of the flowers to verify what I wanted. Only at that point did we discuss price (the flowers and arrangement were more important to me than the price), and the lady told me that for a full arrangement with those specific roses and size of sunflower the price would be $25. When I came in to pick up the flowers, the lady who had taken my order was not present; there was one adult and several high school girls working. The arrangement was WAY smaller than we had discussed, and some other random type of very small yellow flower had been substituted for the sunflowers. When I questioned it, I was told quite condescendingly that they were out of the kind of sunflower I wanted, that this was another type of sunflower, so it counted. I advised that I had wanted two specific flowers included in the arrangement because they were my friend's favorites, and I was told that they would be included. The girl rolled her eyes, called the adult over, and they went to the back, where, lo and behold, they brought out two of the type of sunflowers that I wanted - except WAY smaller than they should be for what I was paying. When I told them that the bouquet and flowers were much smaller than what I was told I could have, and that I really wanted either more flowers or a discount on the bouquet, the young girl SHOUTED at me, "God grows the flowers, I can't make them bigger! What do you want me to do about it?!" At that point I did get angry myself, and commented on the complete lack of customer service. The older lady finally gave me $5 off - if my friend's opening night hadn't been in 3 hours with no time to go anywhere else I would have refused to buy the flowers, but since I didn't have time to go anywhere else I took the discount.
