They have some fun unique gifts and IU shirts. The woman at the counter was exceptionally nice.

It's a shop full of all that quirky, humorous swag that nobody really needs but makes great gifts. I bought a three-legged clay South American good-luck pig for my grandmother (who loves pigs) and left it at that, but I could have easily picked out something for each member of my whole family and several friends. Shot glasses, flasks, magnets, bumper stickers, all sorts of Anne Taintor stuff, books, greeting cards, buttons, candy, action figures...basically knick-knacks, gew-gaws, doodads, baubles, trinkets, novelties, and ephemera of all types. And an AVALANCHE of IU t-shirts, about a third of the store. Most are actual licensed t-shirts so you know that you're getting a quality shirt, but the prices range from six to ten bucks. Soft t-shirts, block-letter t-shirts, t-shirts with or without the trident symbol, "B-town" t-shirts, humorous t-shirts ("Purdouche", "Dry Campus", et al), etc etc etc, in numerous colors and several sizes. I saw t-shirts in several stores that day, and Greetings had the best prices and widest selection of all of them. read more

This is such a delightful store! Most of the items are IU related as you can imagine in this college town. You can stock up on T-shirts, tops, bottoms, sweat shirts, sweat pants. You can also find accessories of every kind to complete you IU ensemble. We also like the witty gift times such as cups, magnets and other items. If you are looking for a hard to beat bargain, the closeout items are at rock bottom prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. read more

This place is nice if you're looking for souvenir type trinkets, but their apparel is trash. The price point is extremely high for the quality of the cloths, and most of their items run pretty small. They don't have a fitting room, but they only do final sales (makes no sense). Again, if you're looking for a souvenir or something, they have some good options. If you're looking for apparel, do yourself a favor and head over to Tracks a few doors down where you will pay way less for higher quality, accurate sizes, and the option to exchange/return. read more

This cute, locally-owned shop is the perfect place to go for cards, gifts, and IU t-shirts. When on a gift search, I always check there first to see what they have. The owners are amazing and the staff is well trained. I hope everybody checks out this great Kirkwood institution! Not the Greetings of my youth. The store is now full of Indiana T-shirts. I remember a Greetings that used to be filled with a variety of knick-knacks, fun gifts, candles, picture frames, unusual toys, jewelry, and pottery pieces. The selection and variety is not what it once was. Yes they still have some neat finds, and I did get a couple of cards and ring holder, but in my opinion Greetings has gone downhill. I doubt this will be my go to store for gifts as it once was. read more

Very Disappointed. I grew up in Bloomington in the 70's & 80's. Went to IU. Have shopped at Greetings many times. A couple of weeks ago while visiting Bloomington I bought a light red IU t-shirt from Greetings. I wore it once and dark blue stains formed under the arms. I washed it and the stains went away. Wore it again and the same thing happened. I did not sweat much either time and I wear an organic deodorant. It's been less than 3 weeks, so I brought in the receipt and t-shirt for a refund. The cashier called Sarah who explained the situation to her. After hanging up with Sarah, the cashier told me there was nothing that could be done. Seriously? I was so disappointed, I left the receipt and shirt on the counter and walked out. It's a $12 t-shirt. You lost a semi-regular customer over $12. read more

Wow, I've been shopping here for around 20 years during my visits to Bloomington. Great selection of odd ball stuff along with some traditional IU wear. For has many years has I can recall this shop had some of the very best, most original, funniest, off the wall and event cards that covered b-days, Christmas, anniversary, etc. and on my most recent visit which was the day after Thanksgiving they have now decided to drop ALL cards. That's a big loss for me. For YEARS I received many, many compliments for the cards that came from this little shop, but no more. With the cards my rating would have been five stars.......minus the cards the review is 3.5 stars. Sometimes a business may forget an element that made them standout from the crowd. Also, 99 percent of the time there is a homeless person standing outside the door near the corner, I'm not trying to be cute. Instead this is a growing issue in Bloomington and my hand to the good Lord above there is always a person in need standing outside this shop. And again I've gone here for many years. read more

I absolutely love Greetings. It was one of the first stores I noticed on Kirkwood when I moved to Bloomington in 2007. The owners are amazing people. They support local artists by selling their items and they have the cutest tshirts in town (and the best priced). Whenever I was looking for a gift or a card I knew I could find it at Greetings. read more

This place has it all. Great jewelry, frames, bags, shirts, martini glasses, candy, magnets, post-its, cards, wrapping, signs, did i mention shirts? All around great selection. Greetings is exactly what I expected when making the move from an urban campus to a college town. It's amazing. I come here far too often to just check out the stuff. Also- super cute girl size shirts for $10? ummmm yes please. I think the stuff is cute, current, very reasonably priced, and essential in a college sort of way. I love totally dig the selection of post cards. quite cool. read more
