Her servers were attentive and friendly...even Cynthia herself worked the event. If you want gorgeous food that is prepared by a true chef, use her!! You will not be disappointed.

We worked closely with Cynthia for several months in preparation for our July 2016 wedding…read morereception at the IU Auditorium in Bloomigton, IN. We can't say enough wonderful things about Cynthia's service and expertise. Every other caterer we spoke with in town pales in comparison to Cynthia and her staff. The food: Simply put, our wedding reception food was incredible. Every bite was full of flavor and seasoned to perfection. One thing you should know about Cynthia is that she is obsessed with maintaining the integrity of the food she is serving. Sometimes that means that certain dishes may be served at room temperature to maintain the vibrancy and flavor. Our appetizers (crostini with goat cheese and brucetta and mini potatoes with Greek yogurt) were a huge hit, along with the tri tip beef, baked pasta and fresh veggies with homemade dipping sauces. I can't forget to mention the sweet potatoes...my friends texted me the next morning mentioning how yummy they were! Service: During the cocktail hour, reception, and dance time she meticulously catered to our guests (and us!) and went above and beyond. Our consultations and email exchanges were very clear and pleasant. She created our menu on the spot, and was very receptive to our preferences wth little direction. When most caterers would have packed up and left, Cynthia's staff stayed until the bitter end serving bite sized desserts to guests far after dinner/reception had concluded. During the planning phase, we loved that Cynthia let us try tiny samplings of her food before putting in a deposit, giving us our first glimpse into her love of hosting and feeding people. Our guests raved about the food after the wedding, making our special day that much more memorable! I highly recommend Cynthia for both small and large scale events.

Really good vegan food! The food truck has open-faced sandwiches ("flats"), ice cream, and kombucha…read moreon tap. Sometimes there are other seasonal specials. The flats are really creative, which is a very nice change of pace in a city without a lot of adventurous vegan options. I tried their black oak (apple butter bbq jackfruit) and sumac (roasted squash and whipped sumac "feta") flats. Both were delicious with interesting flavours. Their vegan ice cream is also pretty good. The vanilla and Mexican chocolate ice creams were pretty smooth but the texture on the apple butter was a little icier compared to most dairy ice cream, but not in an unpleasant way. The apple butter flavour was so good and not too sweet. You can get the ice cream as plain scoops or in a sundae, and the caramel pie crust sundae was heavenly- the cinnamon pie crust pieces were delicious on their own. The people who work the truck are very nice. I so appreciate the commitment to sustainability. They serve their food in paper containers with wood cutlery (that actually works - no blunt forks), and if you bring your own cup for kombucha you get $1 off.

My wife is not vegan nor vegetarian, but she definitely devoured the Bellflower food item which included a chick pea patty and some other stuff she liked. The gal taking orders was friendly and they were efficient despite the temps being in 90's. Speaking on behalf of my wife, she genuinely enjoyed the food. See pics for other menu options and ingredients. Interesting flavors!!

Tudor Room brunch is great, cookies at sugar and spice are tasty :)…read more This isn't quite what I was looking to review, but close enough. Here a few comments about the food associated with the IMU: Sugar & Spice (I believe) Their chocolate chunk cookies a great - I always got one before my chemistry exams. They are big, and nice and soft. I also love their sugar cookies with colored sugar. I'm not sure what I love about those, but I miss them so. They are bright, cute, and tasty I guess :) Tudor Room A MUST for Sunday brunch if you are an IU student. If your parents come to visit, have them take you there. They have prime rib and ham, I believe, a bit of a salad bar, baked goods, a variety of got breakfast and lunch items, a great dessert table and made-to-order omelets! A bit pricey, but I love it. The atmosphere is great, too - very old-school, almost like being in a castle. They serve lunch every weekday, I think, which is also good, but not as wonderful as the brunch. Actual catering service... I have only been to a few events that were catered by the IMU, and they were okay. I recall some interesting items, but the quality of the food itself was not as exciting. Not bad, but not as amazing as the above things they offer.
