I think this is definitely one of the best italian restaurants. The food is fresh and they give you plenty of it so dont shy away from the price per meal it's enough to feed 2 hungry adults read more

We have lived here over 2yrs and Marvino's is our Go To for out of town guests, celebrations and wine parings. Their staff is well trained and professional. The manager is sincere and accessible. My favorite entre is the sea bass. Marvino's doesn't disappoint. . read more

The place and atmosphere is nice. I didn't care for the food. I got the Parmesan chicken w/ the spaghetti. The spaghetti barely had any saice and it tasted like fish. They have a dish w/ spaghetti and some type of seafood, I think that's what they give you. I HATE seafood and I almost threw up on the first bite. They're supposed to make separate spaghetti. Gross. Hubby got something with sausage and meatballs. He didn't like either. Sausage had a funky taste. The waitress didn't understand me when I said "can I have paper napkins not a cloth" seriously!! We were very disappointed and I couldn't wait to go. Anniversary dinner sucked read more

First time in, service was swift, server/ bartender very attentive, food was delicious!

My experience here was nothing short of awful. When my party arrived, it took about 15-20 minutes for our orders to be taken. After we ordered, half of my parties food came out in about 30 minutes, while one person, who ordered a simple pizza, did not get their food until almost an hour later! While we were eating, not once did our waiter refill our drinks or ask us if we needed anything. Once we all finished our food and asked for the bill, they told us we could not split the bill. Mind you, we are a group of teenagers so how did they expect a teen to foot the entire $300 bill? I would not have been so mad about this if they had told us before we ordered that we could not split the bill because we could have left and found a different restaurant if we knew that were the case. In addition to this, there was an automatic 20% gratuity included in our total, which they most definitely did not deserve. Will not be coming here again. read more

On Saturday afternoon we had lunch at Marvino's, good choice--best Italian food I have had in a long time. There was six of us and we each ordered one of the flavorful dishes from the menu, my pick was the Seafood Tortellini. That lobster cognac sauce was paired perfectly with the Tortellini. I also, tasted the Ravioli DiManzo, ravioli stuffed with short ribs and served with vodka sauce. Short version, I believe you will be just as satisfied. read more

My husband and I moved to the Cypress area less than 2 years ago. When we disovered Marvino's, we were very impressed with great food, atmosphere and service. We went a few more times afer that and equally enjoyed each time qs when we went the first time. However...my parents came from Miami to spend Christmas and New Year's eve with us and it happened to be their 48th anniversary so my husband and I decided to celebrate by taking them to dinner at "this amazing Italian restaurant" (I had alsp raved about it to my friends). Sadly, this time was nothing like all tbe other times had bren. We sat and ordered pur drinks, water a d one soda...it took 30+ minutes just to get that. We then ordered our food which took almost an hour to get. Food didn't taste nearly as good as it used to and the presentation was way below standard. The quantities are also less than I remember but the prices still seem the same. I was very disappointed especially since we were celebrating a special occasion. Sadly, not si sure we will go back. Something definitely changed. read more

The manager (stated his name Al) made our first time experience very poor. Because of Al I will not recommend this place. We had reseravtions for 4pm. When we (50%) arrived we were informed we could not be seated until 90% of our party was there, granted the place was empty. Once at the table service was slow and I understand that. What's concerning is after waiting 20 mins for our server to come, we went to the front and asked for menus and was told we could not have them until the server brings them to us...Seriously! We drove an hour for this? Two hours into our dining experience I witnessed the manager Al visit the other diners table asking how their dining experinece was but he completely skipped our table (but he looked at us) Unbelievable! When the bill came there was a 20% automatic gratuity added AND they never informed us they don't divide the bill AND Al refused to correct a $10 charge on an almost & $600 tab! Honestly, food wasn't better than Olive Garden who has far better customer service and customer experience. Zero would be a better rating for this place. read more

First let me say that the food and service were good. I do think they are on the pricey side for what they offer however.

I planned a graduation party for my granddaughter with JR's help. He was very helpful, considering this was just as we were coming out of quarantine, answered all my questions and had good suggestions. Gabriel was our waiter the day of the party and did a great job keeping everyone's glass full and taking all orders. The food was delicious, try the lobster ravioli; everyone enjoyed their meal. They made a chocolate mouse cake for dessert that was delicious. The guests made comments that they would like to come back again. Thanks to Marvinos for a successful graduation party in a difficult time!! read more

Went for the Valentine's dinner and it was very good. Good service and excellent drinks. Plan on going back soon.

Wonderful atmosphere. Terrible service. There was not a sufficient number of staff to wait tables. The hostess stand was abandoned, as the hostess was trying to expo and help the wait staff. And the kitchen must have been behind because the wait time for food was not acceptable. All of this might be understandable if it were peak hours, but this was at 1:00pm on a Saturday. The middle of a lunch shift. Food was good but not great, and the "express" lunch was anything but. Glad I didn't come on lunch break from work, because I wouldn't have made it back to work in time. read more

Great all around fresh exceptional food and nice atmosphere! Just as their sister restaurant Alicia's, fresh quality ingredients are the standard for all dishes. We've eaten here a few times when in town and have always been pleased with the decisions chosen and quality of food. Dining room or eating at the bar, either will meet your expectations and prove to be an enjoyable experience. Bar is great for watching sports (watched the Astros win it all!). Usually always get a Cesar to start and an order of calamari. Neither choice ever let us down. Penne Pesto Pasta is one of my favorites and great with the grilled chicken or shrimp. Desserts look great but always full by the end of the meal. read more

Order something else besides the steak. The Italian wedding soup sounds nice when explained but ended up falling short- Opt for the salad. The environment is clean, waitstaff was friendly and food was mediocre. read more

We were here for Mother's Day. Food was ok. Kitchen messed up what we ordered. The service was ok. For it to be Mothers Day it was not busy, the service was bad. We waited 2 hours for our food. We won't go back read more

A very nice restaurant. Great food although I wish they would include a few more healthy options. Excellent management and staff.

I'll start by saying that this was my first time to Marvinos. The ambiance was beautiful, dim lit, and really made me feel like I was in an authentic Italian resturant. I had enough time to look at the beautiful room while standing waiting for the hostess to acknowledge my existence.... she helped three people in line that were behind me. Not sure how that happened? Last time I checked I was still visible...After she realized I was standing right in front of her she decided to had over the reins to a girl that had walked up.. That was at 8:20 pm. I was told that we would only wait 20 to 30 minutes. We were seated at 9:05 pm. We had enough time to look at the menu on our phone while we waited to be seated, and knew exactly what we wanted, but we were told that we needed to wait because our waiter needed to go tend to drinks at another table even though in the time he explained that he had another table, he could have just taken our order.. so finally after about 10 minutes he comes up to us and take our order. I had water, and my fiance had a sweet tea. The sweet tea was to die for so I ended up getting one, some may hate it because of how overly sweet it is, but to each his own. Or her own. We ordered the duck spring rolls, chicken Fried steak (fiance is NOT an Italian food kind of guy) and chicken fettuccini alfredo. It took a long amount of time to get our salad and soup, immidietly followed by our spring roll (way to let us finish that'll round of our meal). STAY AWAY from the duck spring rolls!!! They brought it out, so my fiance took a bite and was repulsed to find it frozen in the center. We had them replace it with the Italian meatball, luke warm and tasted like it was covered Ragu. Ya know the stuff from the grocery store, the meat balls were better than the duck atleast... Then the entrees came out. It looked amazing. My fiance chicken Fried steak was slimy and the potatoes tasted old. My chicken fettuccini alfredo was fantastic for the most part... It was on the cold side and lacking a good amount of sauce but very flavourful. We got desert. Instead of listening to our instincts and leaving.. The chocolate tuxedo cake was dry and spongy as far as the cake part, but the chocolate ganache was tasty. We were seated at 9:05 pm, and didn't leave until 10:40 pm. Not because we sat and talked, but because the kitchen took that long, and judging by the temperature of the food, so did the waiters. We usually only spend an hour at a resturants in general. In and out. Not here... We will give them another shot... hopefully next time will be better! And marvinos, if you read this. Update you hostess!! Their customer service is terrible! read more

The service was horrible. We waited for over 45 minutes for them to get our order right after bringing out the wrong items to our table 3 times!!! How many times can you say Wedge Salad????? And - after the long wait only to sample ice cold food. When the "district manager" finally made his way over to hear our concerns... it was useless. He made no attempt to rectify the situation. The calamari tasted as if it came from a box. It's clear they devoted more time to the look of the establishment and not on the flavor of the food or the service. I'd give it a 2 out of 10 best. read more

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner. The Alfredo left me wanting more. And I loved the eggplant parmigiana. $4 house wine during happy hour was a plus. Will for sure visit again! read more

The To GO server had great customer service but the rest of the team was awful which I realized came down from the attitude and service of the lunch manager on 8/15/18. Waited at To Go counter for 5 minutes and 7 different restaurant employees passed me (2 made eye contact) and never stopped to see if I need assistance. I went to the front of the restaurant and asked the man at the front if I could speak to the manager...he looked at me with disgusted and said I am the manager. I explained to him the issue and he stated hold on I'll check on it. After returning to the To Go area the associate came out and asked me how my day was I stated it was great until I came here...the manager became very apologetic and the manger looked at me and walked away to leave his associate there to handle an upset customer. I'm glad the To Go associate is not learning from the others at Marvino's. read more

Went to this place with my family, I ordered the marvino filet, I ordered it medium, it came out rare. The rest of the food was mediocre. When I told the manager I didn't want the steak he became visibly upset but managed to maintain his composure. The service was very slow, they took the order of someone who came after we had already been there for 25 minutes waiting at the table. With small kids you know you usually only have so much time b fire they become restless. The waiter never serviced us we had to rely on the bus boy to help us out with drinks and a spill that had happened. It was later in the evening so the wait staff was probably tired so maybe they get a pass on the lack of service but the food is very mediocre. That's the way I see it. read more

Oh. My. Love this place. Monday and Wednesday are reduced-price Wine bottle nights. Brought a big party here for a weekend brunch, and everybody raved about the food. Best blue cheese dressing ever! .. of course, the Italian dishes are excellent and we've never experienced anything but great service. read more

Food quality was better than Olive Garden but worst than Carrabbas! That isn't good for a non-chain restaurant. Veal is only to be breaded lightly EVER, it isn't chicken! Their Minestrone soup was more like chili than soup. Their wedding soup used turkey meatballs (bland) and had very poor seasoning. Salmon and creme Brûlée was good. Mia Bella is much better and worth the drive to vintage park. Love Alicia and Dario's but this place needs major work! read more

Yesterday was our first time here. We went at a great time 5:45 and there wasn't a wait at all. The hostesses were very polite and greeted us immediately as we walked in the door and we were sat promptly. The waiter took our drink order as someone else brought us bread and herbs. The waiter seemed he wasn't all excited to be there, haha. I asked if he had the lasagna before and he said "it's pretty good." I replied, "is it pretty good or really good?" Then he said really good so I had that. The lasagna was awesome, my kids had the pizza and parents had fettuccini Alfredo and spaghetti w/ meatballs. Everything we are was great. I recommend this place. We will be back! read more

First timers tonight; we like the atmosphere! Nice bar area where we sat down for dinner, comfortable and not to loud. Had the Frito Misto and the Crab tower and both we very good. I favor the Misto, with the Chianti followed by the Margarita pizza. Nice job on everything. Eric the manager checked up on us a couple of times and talked about our trip to Italy. The pizza was way better than we had three weeks ago in Venice. Check them out. They are doing a great job on the service side and definitely will be back to explore the Antipasti menu more before we test the rest of the menu. Love the white shirts and black ties. Good luck hunting and gathering foodies! read more

I have been there 3 times now and have not had a bad meal yet. Had the lamb shank over mushroom risotto and the meat just fell off the bone. Also had the duck with creamy polenta and it was absolutely delicious. Desserts were divine. We keep telling everyone we see about this place. read more

I called to speak to a manager before writing this but he did disputed little if any of my complaints so I feel compelled to write this as a warning. If you plan to eat here for a special occasion make sure that you are aware of the "special menu" and pricing before being seated. My daughter and her new boyfriend were celebrating their first Valentine's Day together and decided to have their meal here. They went at 5 to avoid the terrible lines and were seated almost immediately. The menu given to them was a "special menu" with limited selections for a three course meal at $49.99-59.99 each, pre tax & tip. Being 17 yrs old, neither felt comfortable telling the other that they should get up and leave and so they ended up spending their very hard earned money on meals that were not what they had wanted, could afford and even fully partake of. Most of my daughter's meal eventually was thrown away because she did not care for it. I know it could have been avoided had they simply left but I feel the management or hostess should have explained the "special menu & price" before seating them. This would have made a polite exit easier than getting up from the table. The manager said that the 7 & 9 pm seatings were given the menu while in line but there was no line at 5. They were not able to partake of the 2 glasses of wine and that should have been obvious to the hostess and waitress. No pun intended but this has given us very sour grapes and I do not believe we will be dining at Marvino's again. read more

My wife and I used to love this place, they have recently changed their menu and took out some of favorite plates. Menu is very short now. They got rid of their mussels appetizer and now they have an artichoke and spinach dip??? Are you serious? If I wanted that, I would go to a Chili's or Cheddars! I ordered the chicken piccata, the sauce was way to acidic and it came with a side of chopped cauliflower, carrots and broccoli, school cafeteria style. I wish I had taken a picture, service is still good and our waiter tried to to make the best out of my complains. I have no desire to go back to this place. read more

From the outside it looks nice and elegant, you're greeted the moment you walk in and they accommodate you with quick sitting. Makes you think, "Man this is Awesome!" You order your drinks and appetizers and converse with your love ones. Then suddenly you're wondering, DAMN WHY AM I SO HANGRY? Because the server forgets to come take your order after 30 minutes. Then another server comes and serves you the order you didn't get to order. You then get HANGRIER because you have to wait another hour for the food to come out after the second complaint to the manager. If you're not HANGRY when you arrive, you will leave HANGRIER! Come only if you want TERRIBLE service! read more

We came in for Valentine's Day and had the special menu. It took 20 minutes from the time we sat down to be greeted. Our first server was very nice and knowledgeable. After we placed our drink order we were greeted by another waitress, Daphne. This is when the problems started. She had no idea about the options about the limited menu, every question we asked she had to run off and ask somebody. You would think which such limited options someone would know whether or not it came with 2 desserts. But she would leave and come back and tell us things that had nothing to do with our original question. So it took about 15 minutes just to order our food. We upgraded to the steak option for two, ordered it medium, at $95 a person. After about an hour waiting the food arrived. Which I will say was not a huge deal because they were busy for Valentine's Day which we understood. Our steaks came out rare. I asked Daphne if the steak was medium. She said it was, in a rude manner. When it was clearly rare. The food was decent but way over priced for the quality and not being cooked to the correct temperature. So all I did was ask if the steak was cooked medium and didn't want to wait another hour so I said it's fine we'll eat it. So after that, Daphne refused to come back to our table. Never asked if we were okay. If we needed any more drinks. Nothing. She sent other servers to bring us our dessert. I guess she was too scared because I asked if the steak was cooked correctly? Then when it was time for our check she sent another server to bring us our check. A 20% gratuity was added. Which is fine, however frustrating that our server was too scared to bring us the check. Daphne never told us thank you or said good bye to us. You would think a $330 check for two people would at least warrant a thank you. Like I said food was decent but service was horrible. Due to this experience with Daphne we will never be returning to this restaurant. read more

I came here to have dinner with my friends for my birthday. Thought it was a nice scenery but FOOD and DRINKS SUCKED. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. We ordered the spinach artichoke and the chips tasted like BAD oil and gasoline. Asked to have that replaced with the mozzarella sticks and that was even worse due to the cheese being cold and not even cooked. Waiter didn't really come to check on us. Service was just HORRIBLE.dont waste your time even coming here. read more
