Oh my.....where do I start? After two positive experiences with Marvel today was a abject disaster. Despite booking this two weeks out and confirming by e-mail, they arrived late. I had to call the office to ascertain their ETA. The receptionist was very discombobulated and at first advised my appointment was not today. I got a "...let me explain something to you..." tone which did not put me in a good frame of mind. One guy arrives late and takes his time walking around and trying to remove the screens. I asked where he colleague was, to which he responded "...he is on his way...". The gentleman then disappears for almost 20 minutes, causing to me to go and locate him. Find him at the entrance to the building with bucket in hand. Still no sign of his colleague. Now he says he has gone to another job! Once inside my unit the gentleman hands me his phone and says the his colleague wishes to speak with me. Apparently he is feeling unwell and unable to do my job today. All very odd. At that point I called it and cancelled the job. Unfortunately Marvel has lost their touch and become complacent with a rather laissez faire attitude. It's been two years since Frank first did our windows. It made such a dramatic difference in how the glass - and thus a big part of our home - looked, I was sold then on having him return when they needed it. His work ethic then, as now, cements the deal: Frank isn't happy until you're happy, he spends the time to do the job right, and he's proud of his work. Plus, he's just a heckuva nice guy to chat with. The last time he was here, Frank spotted the Airstream trailer we have in our back yard, which we use as a sort of guest house/office. He mentioned he had a special tool he could use to clean the Airstream the next time he was out, so we added that service on this time. I've included photos of the results, because they're dramatic. Just as with the windows of our home, now the windows of our Airstream - as well as its gleaming aluminum exterior - look showroom-new. Here's the thing: you don't know how dirty your windows currently are until they're not that dirty anymore. So, particularly if you're considering having your windows cleaned for the first time, don't make the mistake of thinking it's a minor detail and not worth the time or money. Like a pair of perfectly crafted eyeglasses, once you're looking out of your home's windows post-Frank, you'll think, "Oh wow. I had no idea the world looked this clear!" Stay away from this business. We had them out to clean all the windows in our house. They were here maybe 30 minutes and this is what we were left with. Now we have to hire another company to come in and clean the mess that Marvel left behind. Not only that but they were on the phone to us demanding payment and it hadn't even been five days since they were here. Bad business all around. Thank you for reaching out but the order was under my husband's name and I never mentioned what week it was that you were here so you saying you called your clients is incorrect. A perfect experience... Marilyn was crystal clear in acquiring information to make a very realistic (and, in the end, completely accurate) bid over the phone. When Frank arrived and assessed the detail of what would be done, it was comprehensive and full of information and things to consider. There was a reasonable amount of complexity, and it all got sorted out. His assistants, Anthony and Justin, were equally detailed and very forthcoming with issues that might require additional outside help and those that needed a decision from us. When no one showed I called and was told that due to the weather no one was doing in person quotes! The day of, they came as promised, and the Team did a Super, super job! Gave our gutters the cleanout they've not had for 'awhile,' and they even packed out the gunk! We've used Marvel (formerly Frank's) for over 4 years. We have our windows washed twice a year. Half of our windows are Pella brand 3 glass panes with interior blinds. The workers have to know how to open and clean inside the glass, besides cleaning the outside and interior glass. They also clean the screens. They always do a super job and this time was no exception. They are careful to keep things clean in the interior of your house. I think the price is very reasonable, and they are fast. We had a team of Jessie, Mark and Hugo and they were done in 4 hours. We have a lot of windows. Thanks guys! read more

Very pleased! It had been a very, very long time since our windows inside and out had been washed. Contacted Marilyn at Marvel, got a reasonable quote and scheduled the job for today. The crew arrived on time, in masks and gloves. Jessie and Hugo were polite, friendly and professional. Ours is a small condo, so it only took a little over an hour and half to wash all windows, inside and out. They were careful and efficient and went above and beyond, to hose down the patio and tiles around the outside of the fireplace. SCAM, that's what I felt when asking for a quote. She quoted me 300., which I thought was reasonable, then proceeded to say PLUS 25.00 per year that the windows had never been professionally cleaned, like it was a punishment. WTF I've had this house for 20 years! Do the math. Yes they've been cleaned of course but I can't remember the last time they where done by a professional. Thank you fellow Yelpers for sending me to Frank for all my mid-century modern big ass windows to be cleaned! My house is 70% windows (well seems like it) and after the spring rains came and then the summer winds my house looked like it was covered in dust, paint chips and bird poop. I was getting depressed trying to look out at my garden and seeing this ugly film on my windows. Instead of hitting the bottle or going to see my shrink, I called Frank to see if he could brighten my days by cleaning my windows. Turns out he was just what I needed! Frank showed up on time, was extremely friendly and courteous, gave us an extremely fair quote, and even threw in a few extra windows for us. We knew right away that Frank and his helpful sidekick would do a great job when they got out their booties and all the protective gear to clean the tracks in my windows and not create other messes, because let's face it, when cleaning one thing, its easy to transfer it elsewhere- but not Frank! Frank was super thorough and it actually surprised us how much time it took to clean the windows properly. I won't say he did a lightning fast job, because that's not what he does. He actually gets in there and scrapes off the paint and pooh and grime. So its not a fast thing doing each window front to back, but you'll be happy he took the time and care. Now whenever I'm feeling like the windows to my house (soul) are looking a little grimy I'll be giving Frank a call. And he's way cheaper than my shrink! read more

We called just a few days before our house went on the market and Frank was able to fit us in. he came out on a Sunday and the windows have never looked better. The old owners had really let the place go and we hadn't done more than the occasional windex cleaning but Frank scrubbed away the 30+ years of mineral deposits and some of the windows are so clean that you can't even tell there's a pane of glass there. read more

If you could see my windows before and after, I wouldn't even need to write this review. Frank's work is fantastic!! I had not had the windows professionally cleaned since moving in 16 years ago! Because the house has several very old windows, Frank was careful to explain that some of them were too stained to come completely clean but that they would look much better afterward. He was exactly right, but what I didn't foresee was how sparkling and clear the rest of windows would look! They are so spotless that I'll probably have to put decals on the patio doors so the birds don't fly into them! Frank is meticulous and extremely careful, as well as being very reasonable. In addition to the regular windows, he also cleaned my greenhouse window and exterior skylight and voluntarily repaired a few broken locking mechanisms. I couldn't be more pleased! read more
