Although the product was installed satisfactorily, the final result was anything but professional. The installers did not remove the adhesive used to lay the wood. I tried to clean the floor but was not able to. I tried several times to reach Andrew requesting he send someone to clean the floors. He did not return any of my calls. I finally had to hire another flooring company who was willing to finish the job. I had paid Maru Pacific $14,855.58, and actually have a one year warranty, but incurred additional expense because Andrew would not return my calls. The original flooring was parquet floor and old hardwood flooring was removed and Maru Pacific sanded down and padded to make even flooring. I am so pleased with the work from Maru Pacific. I have had many things updated in my fixer upper home over the past 8 years and this was one of the most enjoyable projects by far. I have dealt with many contractors, collected many quotes over the years for projects and this company was so easy to work with from start to finish. We had a few issues come up which is normal in any construction project but it was fixed and worked out. It was easy to communicate to the owner and bring up concerns I was having. The work was done in a good amount of time. It took a day and a half to rip out old flooring/baseboards and install the new flooring. We did a walk through after day one and a final walk through on day two. They seemed very detained and did not seem like they wanted to rush to get out. They took their time to make sure everything was just right. I have a year warranty if anything went wrong on the companies end. That makes me feel better as well. Two contractors never got back to me, one was incredibly overpriced and the other, Maru Pacific was both extremely responsive and within our budget. Andrew is not pushy in the sales part of it and he really respects the time and energy it takes to pick the perfect color. My husband and I debated finding the best color from Floor and Decor and others and Andrew was patient with narrowing it down to his options or others--either way he just wanted us to be happy with the right color selection. The installers worked neatly and quickly without compromising the quality of the job. They projected four days to complete the job but completed it in three. I've been working on a very small bathroom remodel (40 sq ft). I was looking at a big company to do the full remodel but they wanted way too much money. So I've been finding contractors on my own through yelp, looking at reviews, and making sure the small companies are getting business instead of the big major companies. We requested a quote through the yelp app and got a few responses. Maru Pacific was very responsive and communicated well. We thought we had confirmed a date, but I guess I forgot to hit send (my fault) but they were able to accommodate me with another date. Fortunately for me, they had a delay with another job and immediately contacted me to see if I was available now. I immediately said "yes, awesome!" Again, it was a very small job but they came and did the work in less than 2 hours. Side note, we had picked our own flooring, underlayment and baseboard as we wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They provided the labor, tools and other materials to get the job done. Andrew's team are quick and efficient. First off, my vinyl floors are new but were already uneven, had too many creaky noises and already started buckling within only ONE year. My previous floor guy said it was my foundation's moisture. However, when Andrew came in, he did his best to assess my problem and came up with a solution. We also discovered that the installation of my "float" vinyl floora are wrong because glue was used everywhere which contributed to horible buckling. His pricing is fair and competitive and I liked that he offered to reuse my baseboards since they are new to help with costs. I bought my own floors and parts by choice but his crew was very gentle with our pieces and touched up accordingly. The 500sqft space only took half a day to complete from demo to touch up! Andrew and his crew were awesome! They installed laminate flooring for us, working around difficult spots like a fireplace, toilet, and stairs. It looks BEAUTIFUL. We couldn't be happier!
