(With the quote coming in $1k cheaper than the competitors). We were did not have a color in mind when we re-did our floors so his team was able to provide a number of options/materials that would fit into the quote that he provided. Once the material/color was chosen, the work was scheduled for the week after. On the day of the installation, Raymond showed up on time and finished the job in just one day. First impression meeting with Rafi was good. Unfortunately it just went downhill from there. The first team who did our floor and stairs seemed to be professional as well. We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you. read more

BEWARE! Take my advice: Turn around and don't look back. I hired Rafi from My Flooring Guy in Huntington Beach to install expensive solid wood flooring. While the work done was adequate, I would NEVER recommend them due to a few serious issues. First, during installation, Rafi told me the floor needed leveling here and there and that it would be extra. So I agreed to it. However, a part of the floor in the living room clearly isn't level because you can see where the floor dips slightly beneath the baseboard. Second, his workers busted my wood shutters in the same room. I never noticed any of this until later. On top of that, he never finished the job! I told him I was going to have some new interior doors installed after the floor installation. Toward the end, he told me his foreman Caleb recommended they wait to install transition strips in the bathroom and laundry room until after the doors were installed. It didn't make complete sense to me (nor to the door installers), but I said okay and gave Rafi the final payment, trusting they would return to finish the job. Now, he doesn't respond to calls or text messages, or he tells me his workers will be out and they never show up. DO NOT make the same mistake and give these shady characters your business. As a footnote, most positive reviews you read for this company and the previous owner, Guy, are from BEFORE Rafi bought the company. I am very happy with my new SPC (laminate) flooring. Rafi and his team did an excellent job, with little guidance from me. The staircases (there were two) were exceptional. And the large rooms (like my living room and master bedroom) were clean and sleek. I have nothing to complain about. We recently decided to have some flooring work done. Not knowing where to start, we made a trip to our local home improvement center just to get an idea of what flooring choices we had. We had vinyl floors installed 2 years ago. A year and a half later they started warping. Guy came out to inspect and said he would replace the entire floor at no cost, even though it was out of warranty and he suspected it was not treated properly by my tenants. Our job was pretty difficult since we not only had to install a brand new wood floor but also had to refinish the old wood stair treads and the 30-year-old beat-up wood floor on a different split level. My flooring guy did an excellent job. We ended up buying the product that they sell because it was very similar to the product we already had in the bathroom. My flooring guy was patient and on time. Cody is down to earth and allows you to take time to think without pressuring you into contract. They told us 3 days to complete about 900 square feet. I removed the carpet(excluding stairs) and they removed the carpet from stairs and tile downstairs. They competed the job in the 3 days and we are very happy with how this turned out.
