Then we made an appointment to meet in the showroom, where Joshua very knowledgeably directed us to the options that met our needs. We had some timing issues and they remained flexible. The installation team showed up on time and ready to work. When an issue was identified with our subflooring on our stairs, South Bar Carpets sent out their wood specialist, who checked each stair to ensure it was structurally sound and discussed our options for remediating stains. He could have easily told us the stairs needed to be replaced (a hefty price), so I really appreciated his honesty! We treated the stairs ourselves following everyone's advice, then the installation team returned just when they said they would to finish the job. They were polite, helpful, efficient and did their best to contain the mess. Highly recommend. I love our new carpeting!

I received an immediate canned response that clearly wasn't based on anything I wrote or the photo I submitted. It even included a note about ignoring outreach from other companies. The next message invited me to call Joshua Diaz-Blanks, so I did. My call went to voicemail, I left a message, and I never heard back despite calling during their posted business hours on Saturday. Before they closed on Saturday, I texted Joshua. His response was that his grandmother was in the hospital and might not make it. I was sympathetic, offered prayers, and told him we could reconnect Monday or later if he needed more time. Then nothing. No follow-up, no update, no communication at all. On Monday, I walked into Banner Carpets on Artesia instead and purchased what I needed. It was a small $1,300 job, but small jobs add up and reliable service matters. This was handled very poorly, Joshua. I truly hope your grandmother recovers, and if her time is up, I wish her peace. But using a family emergency to excuse basic lack of communication is not professionalism. At some point, adulting is tough, but following through on what you promise is part of running a business. I needed to have my floor repaired after removing an old gas floor furnace in my living room. I texted Paul some pictures, and he was able to give me a quote over the phone. Once I agreed to move forward, he got me scheduled pretty quickly. Luis came out and explained what needed to be done. Since the original composite floor panels are no longer made, he had to cut individual pieces of white oak to match the exact size and keep the original look of the panels. You could tell a lot of time and care went into it. After carefully piecing everything together, he sanded and finished it to match the original color of the floor. Honestly, when it was done, I could not tell the difference. The repair blended in perfectly with the original floor. Really impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. They were initially worried that I didn't procure as many boxes of wood that would be required to fit the rooms due to the boxes not having many long boards. However, they carefully planned where to use the boards to minimize waste and be aesthetically pleasing. With the job completed there was actually some leftover boards. The selection of floors in store is huge, and William was able to get to work and do our whole house in 1.5 weeks. We had a tri-level so that included stairs, restaining our handrails, baseboards + paint, and even helped us on a random project we had for our fireplace. We got another quote from another vendor and there was no competition. William was able to provide flooring materials that were much more to our taste, at a higher spec (AC5 vs AC4), and included much more thorough work (a complete demo vs partial, handrails, and others) that the other vendor either didn't include and/or wasn't able to do.

Kevin came to my house showed me samples so I was able to see actual colors to match it with my kitchen tiles and feel actual texture. He explained the product details and compared them and he gave me a reasonable price. I did not bother looking and talking to other companies, when the price was within my budget and was told it will be done in 4 days, i was sold. During the installation, they discovered that our previous flooring had actually been installed over the existing tile, which we weren't aware of. They took the time to explain the situation, went over our options, and were completely transparent about what would be involved if we wanted to remove the tile and level the floors. I really appreciated that they didn't pressure us and allowed us to make the decision that was best for our home. The installation team worked efficiently and did a beautiful job. They were friendly, respectful of our home, and clearly took pride in their work. Even though flooring installation can be a stressful process, they made it easy and smooth from beginning to end.
