I worked with Michelle White, the owner of Flat Roof Collective to redo my kitchen. When I started…read moremy project, I got several bids from different contractors, all men. Except Michelle. The first thing I noticed was when I told the others my budget, one said, "thats all", another guy said ok, but you will need to buy your flooring, sink, railings and lights. We will install it. He came back with a bid for my whole budget and left nothing for the railing, floor, sink, lighting, ect. I was not surprised, it seemed he was just going to rip me off because I am a woman. When I told him, what about the extras, he immediately reduced his bid by 6K. What a jerk. But when I told Michelle how much money I had to spend she said, WE CAN GET A LOT WITH THAT!!!!
I knew she was the contractor for me.
I pretty much knew what I wanted, she worked with me, told me what would work and what would not. (some of my ideas were pretty silly, but she never said it)
At first, I was only doing the kitchen and dining room, but of course I added on, I did 2 of my 3 floors. I did 6 rooms, a hallway , 28 stairs and entry. I replaced all the flooring with LVP, scrapped all the popcorn ceilings, replaced lighting with canned lights, 12 of them. Did a really great island, 2 chefs pantries, lazy susan and so much more.
My tech, Anthony, was amazing. He pretty much did it all himself, he did get help from Manuel, but mostly it was Anthony. He showed up every day on time and worked his butt off. He cleaned up every day! The whole thing took 8 weeks. I did go over budget, but it was me that went over, once I started, I wanted more, LOL.
I would HIGHLY recommend Flat Roof Collective, Michelle is honest! She is transparent and will tell you like it is. And they work till the job is done.
Give her a call.
Check out my before and after pics.
I am an actual client,
