Review is for BOTH towing and engine repair. First towing: I had a friend take me to their shop in person and I arranged the tow of my F350 ramp back truck. They needed to use the biggest tow truck they had, the guy was very professional and careful with my nice truck. Repair: The extensive repair took a long time, due to waiting for parts, but they were good about keeping me in the loop, and fortunately they did a long test drive as one of the new parts was crap, so they had to replace that. They kept to their price estimate, but it took a lot longer than I had expected due to waiting for OEM parts from Ford. I have driven about 1000 miles since the repair, and everything is working great. read more

Customer service was top notch. I requested them through my AAA road assistance benefits. They were communicative and friendly. We will definitely be working with them again if we ever need anything else. read more

Martin's Garage & Wrecker Services - Auto Repair Near Me - Cartersville, Georgia

Car was towed after a traffic stop. Nothing special- just hook & go. Less than 10 miles. Had to get the car back for work. Retrieved less than 12 hours later and they charged $550 !! The lady we spoke with was rude and her estimated times are way off. Was told 30 minutes and it ended up being over an hour and half later. Made us sit in the parking lot waiting. They've got you over a barrel because they have your car. Managed to scrap together the money but I would never recommend them to anyone. Call Matthew's Garage or Matthew Smith Towing- their prices are more reasonable. read more

Going to make a very long story short. Stranded in Conyers with my truck and pull behind camper. Locating a local towing service was next to impossible with companies that want to advertise their 'dispatching'. I knew of Martin's where I live--so I called them. Renee was a tremendous help and sent Cecil to handle the job. He towed my truck on the flatbed and pulled the camper to complete the 80 mile tow. I am completely impressed and will use next time I need a tow!!! read more

Please beware of this towing company!! I was stuck on the side of HWY 75 (GA) with my truck and trailer. I was quoted $250-$300 by the driver to tow my truck and trailer to the nearest TA gas station so it was not blocking traffic off the highway. The TA gas station was .1 miles from where the truck was broke down. Once they got the vehicle to the gas station (took maybe 30 mins) he then told me it will be $450. Be sure to get a solid price from this company before allowing them to touch your vehicle they are a bit shady. read more

Unable to get car out of impound until Monday. Not open on Sat, and Sunday. My car had ran out of gas and within 6 hours it was towed. vehicle was all the way to on the sidewalk, but was towed because they said it was blocking traffic to the entrance of a car wash at 7:30 AM. I made sure it was completely on the sidewalk. I live two drive ways down, and are on crutches. 5 hours after the time it was towed, I found the tow yard and they wanted 278. I drive a 01 Honda civic and the tow yard is literally 1 mile away. Not to mention they are closed on weekends and now I have to wait till Monday. The guy said the charge for days that the car is their regardless if they are open, that I will have to pay in cash on Monday. read more

Very dishonest people. Caught them in multiple lies about repairs they did not take care of when AAA sent them for roadside assistance. They damaged my vehicle and lied about resolving the issue. Dan Manharth read more

I have had to use Martin's several times, and each time, they have been prompt, courteous, and affordable. They are the first call I make when I need a wrecker service. read more

Mike was great, he towed me and my truck to the shop, we had fun the whole ride. Good guy

My car died on me on the interstate near the Cartersville exit as I was traveling from Atlanta to Nashville. AAA sent a wrecker from Martin's to pick me up, and the experience couldn't have been better given the circumstances. They worked with my insurance company to tow the car to a repair shop. They even took me well out of the way to the hotel I reserved for the night while I got everything sorted out. Many thanks to Josh in particular for that ride. But everyone I dealt with was polite and helpful. While I hope I'm not in the same situation again, I know I'll be in good hands with Martin's. read more

A bunch of bastards. Never pick up the phone call. Don't know what they're doing. If I were you I'd find somebody else.

Had an alternator go out, didn't have my tools on me, they charged me $375 total for alternator ($240) and labor ($135). Part would have cost me about $130 after core exchange and would have taken me an hour to do (they charged me an hour and a half at $90 an hour) Not a complete rip off, but not too terrible reasonable either... read more

Martins towing helped me in the middle of the night when I had hit a curb and busted two tires. What a mess I was so glad to have Justin help me out. He was polite and took extra time to be careful with my car. Thanks read more

I'd definitely recommend using Martin's. My van wouldn't start one morning. They drove out 25 miles to pick up the van, then ran their tests. Next day when I picked it up the total charge was only $110 - including the tow! They were fast, honest, and didn't try to oversell me anything that wasn't needed. I agree that the phone presence can be better, but everything else was excellent. If it's ever needed again I'll be using Martin's for towing and/or service. read more

Don't use Martins service! Warning! They charge you an extreme amount! My car was picked up from accident and on their lot for one night and they are charging $420 dollars in order to pick up vehicle. I would not recommend this company. read more

On Tuesday, 11/05/19, while traveling from a business meeting in Alabama, our company vehicle broke down on I-75 S near Adairsville, GA. Roadside assistance was called and we were told Martin's Harage and Wrecker would be coming to assist us in less than an hour. After waiting an hour and 15 mins, we were told that Martin's had cancelled the call with NO explanation. There is no excuse for leaving a customer on the side of a very busy interstate in the metro Atlanta area and it is very unprofessional to do so with NO explanation. If you ever break down in this area and your roadside assistance company offers Martin's services, tell them HELL NO! and if they won't use any other company then switch roadside assistance companies as soon as possible read more

My volkswagen broke down on the way thru Georgia but Martin's was able to fix it and get me back on the road in less than a day! Awesome service for a reasonable price. Thanks Martin's!!! read more

These guys are great! They saved me this morning when my keyless entry malfunctioned and I was locked out of my car. The gentleman that came was genuinely concerned with getting me to my class. Highly recommend this company! read more

They are rude and nasty. I rather have another carrier. They want to be the 1st to take the call to get the call but it take them longer to get to you. Now they took my car to Tire Plus with no problem but want me to be there to pick the car up to take it to another location. You didn't have a problem taking it there. It's the same car. I told them no problem. I will get another carrier. Don't be so quick to get the call all the time. Such nasty attitudes. read more

We called Martins to tow a customers truck to our shop today. It didn't take to long for them to go get it and bring it to Kennesaw from Rome. 39 miles. We were charged $1000 for 39 miles! That's $25.64 a mile!!! When asking about the price the driver said he had a lot of over head maintaining a tow truck. When told that we wouldn't be using them again he said ok have a nice day! He was rude and overpriced! Call someone else!!! read more

This business does NOT care about their customers. They don't care how long you have to wait, or your safety, or anything about you really. They lie and are a greedy business. They will say to your roadside insurance service they are the fastest in the area but instead will have you waiting 3+ hours only to tell you "other things have come up" and "just keep waiting". If you NEVER want a to be picked up call Martins Wrecker Service. They will be sure to never help you out and leave you STUCK on the side of the road for hours! Now, if you want THE BEST TOWING CAN OFFER, CALL MATTHEW SMITH at (770) 386-5522 he will be there in 10 minutes and have you and your car WHEREVER you need to be. Totally saved me on a Friday Night and they even took my car back to ATLANTA and dropped it at the dealership. I wouldn't trust Martin's Wrecker Service to watch my dog much less handle my car! read more

Call AAA to have my 66 Malibu towed to the shop spoke with Martin who towed it two months ago suddenly the over mileage has increased from two months ago when it was going from the same place to the same place the gentleman I was speaking to was pretty rude and abrasive it was a bit of an a**. The over mileage last time was only four bucks this time it was eight it wasn't that amount of money that mattered it was the point of it when nothing had changed it should still be the same I didn't move the shop to move but yet they wanted to charge more money for a longer distance than last time and then the gentleman hung up on me when I confronted him about it be careful using these people ever Denteley they have started trying to gouge wherever they can't and they're not pleasant people to deal with spend money with people who deserve it. It's not surprising that they have such a low rating on yelp evidently they don't care. read more

if you ever have a problem and the police suggests that you call Martins understand its a rip off they must be on the take or get kick backs or something .they Emerson police said call them they are close and fast .Martains towed a 18 wheeler 5.5 miles and charged us $3750.00 and 150 a day storage with a min of a week if towed in on a weekend . none of this was disclose when called .then this place is rude and very unhelpful was told pay it or they would sell it . read more

I have to qualify this review because the late-night roadside assistance were great -- friendly, professional, and a service that I might use again if the need arose. But the service center treatment was like being set on fire to save them the trouble of telling you to go to Hell. They are part of a nationwide tire insurance program, which is why I was taken there, and the problems started when they literally refused to call the insurance program THAT THEY ARE A PART OF to verify that I had a blowout and needed a replacement. They didn't have a tire on hand for my car, which is fine -- I have a weird size tire. But instead of offering to order a replacement, they wanted me to call all over town to see if someone had the right size tire, purchase said tire, pay someone to bring it to the service center, and then pay Martin's a high markup (more than I originally paid for the tire new AND the mounting / disposal costs at another place) for the privilage of putting it on. They were rude and conscending every time I spoke to them -- the nicest they managed to be all day was when I told them to put the car in the parking lot with the key in the glove box so that the car could be picked up after hours and taken elsewhere. My stepdad called the owner, a friend of his, after I had picked up the car, to tell about the way I was treated; when he said I wouldn't be treated that way "next time," I replied that there wouldn't BE a next time read more
