I'm not quite sure where all of these 5-Star ratings came from!! I gave Garrett Automotive 2 Stars because I was very unhappy with the service I received today. My main reason for stopping by was to have me A/C checked. They were offering a "FREE A/C Check", so I took it in! I was told, however, that if it looks like the problem might be something mechanical, they would have to charge me a fee if $85! Now, this is where I knew they "tried" to pull a fast one on me, especially being that I was a female. I had an idea of what the problem was, I just wanted them to confirm it. I received a call about an hour and a half later I got a call from their manager and was told that they need to "dig a little deeper", which meant they had to charge me the $85. This just must think I'm stupid! I'm a current business owner, therefore I know all the sales/service tactics around! He knew what the problem was, but instead, he'd rather charge me, his customer, $85, rather than being honest! What a shame! What was his way of drawing customers in, to then turn around and charge them for some bogus crap! Well, you sure as heck didn't get a penny out of me! Why? Because I I'm all too familiar! I have been using Garrett's for several years. I came to Garrett's after trying many other local shops when the mechanic I had used years prior went out of business. The honesty of this shop is above par. They sat down and talked to me concerning a bad situation with my daughters vehicle and gave me a few honest options. The communication is above par as well, they were honest with the time it would take and let us know when there were unforeseen problems. They went over and beyond what I have ever experienced in any shop, including dealerships who wanted to keep my business for future vehicle sales. The shop and lobby are very clean and personable, I was not worried concerning mask wearing as social distancing is better than masks (I am in the medical field). For an honest, timely, caring shop I would highly recommend Garrett's and looking at other reviews I am not alone. read more

I have 4 vehicles and i will not take any of them to any other shop. The service provided was beyond expectations. In my situation i let another mechanic repair my diesel truck and it was done poorly not even 7 months later i had chose to bring it to Garrett. Not only did they diagnose the problems with the vehicle they also pointed out somethings that i already knew were wrong with the truck and a safety issue. This meaning they actually took their time to inspect the vehicle to insure safe driving and proper maintenance. My family and friends will only use this shop from NOW ON. I have been a loyal Customer of Garret's for 6 years. They have worked on all of my vehicles, friends, and family's as well. Chris and the guys give top notch service no matter the job. The reason I continue to use Garret Automotive is there is no guess work. They actually diagnose a vehicle and fix the root problem, rather that rack up a bill throwing parts at it. As for diesel service, they are the guys in town to fix all the hard problems no one else can. Took my car to Garrett for an oil change special fully expecting them to tell me that my car also needed this & that, blah blah blah. Well they did the oil change as planned but they only gently recommended what else need to be done. Quoted me a price and left it at that! I was very impressed with the way they handled the needed repairs leaving them up to me when I could afford them. I highly recommend this auto repair shop especially for us single ladies. read more

I came here after being taken advantage of somewhere else. I walked in upset and the gal at the front counter was kind the understanding. The mechanic stopped what he was was doing and pulled my car in right away (I did not have appt.) The car was assessed properly and quickly. The work was completed within a workday. I pulled in asking for help putting air in a low tire. Without hesitation Garrett's was happy to help! Them they found a nail in my rear passenger tire. He showed me. He plugged it and made sute I had the proper amount of air all in minutes! Very professional and convenient! Love Garrett Automotive! I can call with any problems or concerns and bring my car in and have it repaired quickly. A few weeks ago my battery died (it was the original battery in my car about 5 years old) and after getting it jumped off, I called Chris and brought my car, got my new battery installed and was back on my way within an hour. They did a good job but we ended up having some issues due to a broken part. We brought the car back and they figured out the problem and fixed it that day.
