If I could go negative stars I would. I'm from PA and know a little bit about cars because I do a lot of my own work. My car broke down during a long trip. Had it towed to this Firestone. I knew it was the alternator that went. The mechanic at Firestone called me and said that the alternator and battery went bad. (Battery was fine, never a problem. He also said that oil was leaking on the alternator, which was BS. Said total would be $2900 to fix. I said do the alternator and battery only. He got upset, said didn't know if I would start stalling again, but finally agreed. Charged me $1600 for a battery and alternator. I called my mechanic and asked what it should cost, they said around $1000. The first rip off. After I paid and left, my car started stalling while idling, something it never did before. Stalled for my wife in traffic. I took a look and found a hole in the air intake hose right by the battery, which is why it was stalling. Repaired the hose, no more stalling. Either the mechanic didn't see the hole, which he should be looking for if the car stalled out, or more likely the scenario, he was mad I didn't fall for the full rip off he was offering and popped a hole in my air intake to make the car stall again. It never hesitated or stalled during idle before this mechanic touched it. It only stalled while driving on the highway at 70 mph because the alternator went bad. Therefore, my opinion, the mechanic set it up for my car to stall. Of course I can't prove it, but thought I would share the rip off story for you to make your own decision. read more

Took my truck to have brakes put on and was told the front end needed rebuild at the cost of almost $1000.00 They lost a center cap and lost parts for the Four wheel drive. I would not recommend them to work on your vehicle read more

Able to schedule oil change same day. Employees are nice. Store is clean. I was in and out in 45 minutes. It's a little hard to figure out how to get into their parking lot, but now that I know I will be back! read more

Customer service here is zero. There is hardly ever anyone at the desk when you walk in and they are never quick to notice you standing there. Lack of respect for the customers and longer than it should be wait times. I had an appointment for my brakes at 12pm, 1pm my truck is STILL in the lot not even in a bay being looked at. New management is seriously needed this place is horrible with service speed and quality. They don't live up to what the sign says! read more

I ended up with a flat tire in the middle of I-75 on a road trip and was able to pull off the highway to this Firestone. They had the exact tire I needed in stock, and changed the tire within 40 minutes for me. They were completely professional, accommodating, and kind to me in dealing with my issue. *UPDATE - Was pressured into new rotors on all 4 wheels - after Firestone worked on my car, it would no longer stop correctly with a hard brake at high speed. Steering wheel was shaking so badly and the brake pedal had very pronounced bounce or skipping not making contact. Called and spoke to Michelle - absolutely the rudest human being alive and could care less if I or my kids had died as a result of having to pull towards the median wall to avoid hitting the car in front of me. She told me to call the 800 Firestone #. I did, they wanted to tow the car back in to let them "assess" what the problem was. No thanks - don't trust you guys anymore! Ended up taking it to a local mechanic with over 30 years experience who showed me the front rotors were never replaced. Firestone had put new pads on my old rotors yet charged me for new rotors. The rotors were so warped. A bolt holding the caliper wasn't even tight and was able to be removed with a few twists of the hand. I will be suing to get the money back where Firestone lied about work/parts they supposedly provided. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Made appointment for oil change and brake inspection. I use Firestone exclusively for service and tires. Just moved to Cartersville and first time at this location. Was told I needed rotors on both front and back they were so bad they couldn't be turned. Really? I just put new tires on and all this time no-one ever said anything? I smell a rat. Somebody is lying or incompetent. When I tried to clarify the process, Trey was very condescending and rude. 4 hours and $1100 later.... Won't be back. read more

New motor needed $7211 I took my car to the Cartersville Firestone on 02/07 for an oil change and waited all day mainly because I didn't have an appointment. On 2/19 a message appeared in my dash advising it is time for an oil change. I called Jeremy on 2/19 around late 5 ish and advised that the message popped up and he said it is fine and that the technician probably forgot to reset the reminder and to bring it in when you can and they would reset it. On 2/21 when driving home from work in the late evening I started hear a loud roaring knocking noise from the engine that sound like there was no oil in the car. So first thing Monday morning at 7am I took it back to Firestone to see what was going on ... Jeremy LIED AS WELL AS THE TECHNICIAN THAT WORKED ON THE CAR and said that it had oil and had it on the lift so I can see it didn't have a leak and said that it is an engine problem and that they do not work on engines and said i needed to take it to a mechanic that works on engines. I took it home and on the way home the oil light came on and the engine light came on few minutes after that I made an appointment with the Dodge Dealer and they did a full diagnosis that I paid $130 for and they found metal shavings in the oil which comes from an improper oil change. To which you can find that information on line as well if you google metal shavings in oil. So now I need a new motor which is costing $7211. Firestone did an improper oil change because they have incompetent mechanics and management working there and now they are going to have to fix this because they knew when they let me go and sent me to a engine mechanic that they had messed up and said nothing. Risking the chance of my engine locking up and a risk of accident had I been on the highway or anywhere and the car suddenly stops. I am seeking full reimbursement for all charges and replacement of my motor on Firestone. A claim advisor reached out on 2/24 but have yet to hear back from him now .. I do not know how they stay in business with such horrible customer service and little regard for people property. read more

$20 oil change, can't beat that. It might be a special they are running but no one is cheaper. But I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time i visited this firestone (jan/feb 2015) i was told that i needed 4 new tires immediately. He was so concerned that i wouldn't make it 30 miles down the highway with the tires I had on my car. He had printed me out a quote for $600 and was ready to put on 4 new tires. So, obviously, i called my dad in hysterics wondering what i should do. I met up w my dad and we took it to a Sam's Club tire department where they assured me my tires were in good condition. Fast forward a year later (Jan 2016) I've been driving on the same tires and didn't have a single issue. Came back to the same Firestone for another oil change with the same tires as last year and the cashier rings me up for my oil change, no mention or trying to scare sell me on new tires. Can you give 0 stars to a place? You would be better off driving your car into a ditch and getting the insurance for it than taking it here. Had someone else driving my car and they ruined the front passenger rim and wheel and a few things. Took it to Firestone(not my choice as I wasn't paying), and had to keep calling for updates. Was told they ordered a wrong part from Mitsubishi(literally down the street). Decided to take the car as is and bring it back later when it part was in. Waited a week and finally called to see if they ordered it, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Then they tracked it down and told me it was in. Took the car in to put the part in, that I had already paid for, and after more than 30 minutes was told they still can't install because they're missing a piece. So I have them refund the labor and take the part. Call Mitsubishi that day and they tell me the part I have is actually wrong (meaning Firestone has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING) and I can come in that week and they have the correct part in stock. So I return yet again to Firestone to return the part I bought from them, and they ended up charging me for it AGAIN instead of refunding. I only noticed because I was checking my bank account and saw it had been used for purchase, not refund. Called and was told I had to wait until the next morning and physically come in again. Tldr; they will charge you twice and order the wrong parts and still not know what they need to order/install. read more

See Tony Pucci, Store Manager, what a great guy, very helpful, honest and knowledgeable. My AC was not working in my F150 and Ford dealer said I needed a new compressor. I had installed a new compressor 14 months ago so I needed a second opinion and got it from Tony. The AC switch was bad and needed to be replaced and he did all for $30 including labor. This location can be easily missed when locating by the mobile maps app. There needs to be a visible sign from the street to identify Firestone entrance and location. There is plenty of parking and the building landscape is nice. The sales personnel Pam and Trey are professional and greet you quickly upon entry. The only concern is the playing Fox news channel in the waiting area. Fox is a propaganda news channel with alternative facts. Firestone employees should make the waiting room comfortable for all customers. read more

I was in a hurry so I just dropped my truck off for an oil change. Was thinking of getting it at Wal-Mart, but then I saw the Firestone sign. Plus Wal-Mart is very risky. A few minutes after I walked in, I was assisted. The employee was also able to apply my coupon. They had it ready for me by the time I got back and overall is was a hassle-free transaction. Terrible service. I was the only person there... 3 mechanics working, 2 guys working front desk, both guys were literally sitting with the mechanics in the shop eating donuts, made me wait a solid 10 minutes after realizing I was there. Couldn't answer simple questions about a battery so he went and asked someone else, while asking co workers he decided to stop and have another donut. So after being there for 30 minutes I left without my questions being answered and frustrated with the lack of respect for someone else's time. read more

After years of using this facility, I feel as if I was not given a fair price for services. I was charged $142 for a $40 part (internet price - $70 at local Advance Auto) and charged $92 dollars labor for something that took 45 minutes. I will get additional quotes from now on. read more
