Update: Now my gel shellac chipped the second day!! (See pic) I have never had that happen and I've had gel numerous times. This place was a complete rip off for me and my daughter. Stopped in here after a google search for something near Sunnyland park to pass time before 8 year old's gymnastics started. Daughter was soooo excited to get mood change (temp polish) that I had from my last manicure somewhere else, but when we left it didn't change colors. We tried dipping her hands in hot water, cold water etc. She even had a friend at gymnastics that had temp change polish and it was changing colors when they both had their hands under the hot and cold water but not my daughter's $35 mani/pedi! I called right away to tell them I paid $5 extra for nothing and the lady was just telling me "not their fault it didn't work and no refund and it's cold outside it affects the polish". I said we ran her hands under hot water, she said not their fault it doesn't work on "her". Also as others mentioned there was no extras during the mani or pedis, just straightforward, didn't ask if I wanted sugar scrub or paraffin wax etc. Just kinda barking at me this about this and that if I was talking too much or moving or asking any questions, etc, she was being condescending basically. At one point I asked how the cat eye shellac worked and she said "just have patience and watch, you wouldn't understand if I explained" LOL, I can handle that talk, but $35 for a kid mani/pedi when they didn't even turn the massage chair on for her and yelled at her to turn it off bc it was too noisy, when I told her she could turn it on while they were finishing my nails bc they forgot to when she was getting her peddy. And the expensive mood polish for my daughter didn't even freaking work and my cats eye shellac I paid $5 extra for was chipping on day 2 and 3.... Yup, Never going back! What burns is I spent $103 + a $10 tip for the both of us then we left and didn't get what we paid extra for. Wow!! read more

We just moved to town and my daughter and I needed a manicure so I made two separate appointments at two separate places to cover more ground and save time trying to find our forever salon. My appointment was NOT made for Martin's Nails. The place I went had great reviews, but left something to be desired in customer service and friendliness. My daughter's appointment was with Martin's nails and though I fully anticipated needing to make two more appointments at two more salons, I have to admit, we are already making plans to go back together and for full mani/pedis next time! These ladies are skilled, efficient, friendly and helpful! And sitting next to my daughter was a woman who had been a customer for 20 years! We paid a tiny bit more here, but it was worth it! We'll be back..... and may even stop looking! My advice? Give it a try! I can't imagine being disappointed. read more

Terrible experience. Got my toes done. No filing, no buff, nothing. Just painted. Then the lady moved me from the salon chair to the hard plastic waiting chair to dry even though there was nobody else in the salon. Then she disappeared and barked at me to put my own sandals on. No help. No customer care. Then she ripped me off and charged me double the price. Also the whole place reeked like ass. Update - it's been two days and my nails have already chipped. After only 2 days, the gel polish just completely came off of one finger and chipped on another. I went back in to get it fixed, which was appreciated, but by the end of the day I already have three other nails that are chipped/the polish is about to fall off. They charge $38 for the gel manicure that is basically a polish change (no massage, scrub, Etc). The pedicure was basically a polish change too (no massage, no hot stones even though their sign says it's included, no pampering at all). read more

Excellent nail service. When I wore acrylics I was directed to Martin's by my sister. "They're the best." she told me, and she was right. The salon is clean and the ladies at Martin's are always friendly and professional. I've never had a problem getting an appointment - even the time I walked in the afternoon before my wedding. Great experience! Never really noticed this place and I've been living nearby for years, glad I discovered this little gem. The only reason I didn't give five stars is I felt like the woman doing my nails rushed a little bit towards the end once another walk-in customer came in, but she did the same for me when I walked in, and this has been my experience at pretty much every nail salon I've been to. Not a huge deal-breaker for me. Just got a standard mani and it's been three days and not a single chip! Prices are comparable to everywhere else in town. (Menu on wall appears to be for cash prices only; manicure was marked as $15 and rang up as $18 using card...I'll be paying cash next time!) read more

Came in to get a full set (acrylic) the lady was very nice and made an effort to get the shape I wanted. Another lady came in for an appointment before she finished me and she started to rush a bit during the polish job. Overall good job for Bellingham but I think I'll stick to my nail girl in Seattle. I told them what I wanted and they refused to put my acrylics back on. So they removed my acrylics, shortened my natural nails and painted them and charged me $46 for garbage. I'm so upset. Worst experience I've had with any nail salon. And for some reason it took 3 hours for two of us. read more

I am passing through Bellingham after a couple months in Canada where I absolutely could not find a first class salon, so my nails were in terrible shape when I happened upon Anna!!!!! I have used the dipping powder for 2 years and LOVE it, but no one from Michigan to across Canada to B.C. knew how to do the process correctly!!! And then I met Anna!!!! She is a wizard!!! $$$$ for gel polish!!! Unless you want to pay almost the price of a full mani for gel, I'd look elsewhere.

I made an appointment for my boyfriend and myself. He had never had a pedicure before, and I kept talking up the foot rub. This was my first time at this salon. They didn't do anything wrong, but they were lackluster. At other places, pedicures take 45-60 minutes. I was done in 30 at this place. I had asked for a long foot rub for my guy because he wasn't doing polish and all that. He was done well before I was, and they charged me more because they did a sugar foot scrub rather than doing more massage. The paint job on my nails looks good so far, but the whole thing was so fast there wasn't much relaxation or pampering. I've tried 5 or so other places in town for pedicures over the years, pretty much all of the other places were more enjoyable. read more

It's small and intimate and there were only two people working there (it was 11 AM on a Thursday). I had to wait a bit, but, I did not mind a bit. The two ladies, Kim and I'm sorry I never did get the other woman's name, could not have been kinder. And then Kim did a great job on my nails. I could not have asked for more. I've reviewed this salon before and had great experiences, unfortunately I think times have changed. I went in recently for a pedicure after work and was completely disappointed. I was in and out of the chair in 15 minutes. I used to come to Martin's for the pampering I received, and that's just not the case anymore. Bummer. read more
