Timely and effective communication when looking to book for a pedicure. Booked via yelp for a 1pm appointment for the next day- Showed up a little early and they were graciously able to get me started earlier, very clean and friendly tho did seem a little visibly disappointed when I declined a manicure even tho I was asking for the most expensive pedicure- my tech took their time, was very thorough and loved that they don't use the cheese grater on my feet! It's a solid place to get a good pedicure , one tip I would give to the establishment is to be mindful of how your techs react when a customer declines a service. read more

As a walk in, I fully expected that the ladies would not be able to take me in. Not only were they able to get me in immediately. But after hearing it had been 10 years since I last had any work done. They did their best to make sure that I would be taken care of. 10/10 experience. Not only did it feel like home. But the ladies there were all so kind. I will definitely be making the hour drive to come back. read more

Got a mani pedi. They attempted to do both simultaneous while in the chair. The person who did my nails was rude, she was working at a weird angle and made the shape crooked on almost all of them and was annoyed when I asked her to fix them. She applied the polish before doing a hand and arm massage with lotion which messed up the polish and when I asked for them to fix it they just messily applied additional polish on top of the damaged polish and lotion - which absolutely did not work. read more

From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. The ladies here are all amazing. They are always great about fitting you in around the time you want. My nails are always beautiful and well done. They can do almost anything nail design you ask for. I took my girls to Em's Nails Bar on a whim, visiting from Michigan for the Taylor Swift Eras tour. I am SO happy we stopped in. Fantastic service, great designs, and my girls can't stop raving about their nails! I only wish this salon was close to home. If we ever visit Bellingham again, I know where we're coming first! read more

I got a full set acrylic with pink french tip and chrome over the top. The chrome is patchy on some nails and the top coat is bubbly, my nails are so lumpy. Not worth the price at all. Oh and nothing was sanitized and they used the same files and buffers between clients. read more

Great massage and service. The pedicurist was kind, used perfect pressure and did a great job on my nails!

Pedicure turned out OK ... they didn't give me what options they offer and only told me about the upsell/deluxe option, I found this out as other people came in and they were offered other options. The sanitary bag that lines the pedicure tub kept clogging the drain so they removed it 1/2 way through my service so it didn't feel sanitary. They did my manicure at the same time and the polish job was rushed, bumpy, and uneven. They weren't dried between coats. After spending $115 for a regular manicure and a pedicure I left pretty disappointed. Only to be even more disappointed two days later when the polish chipped off in large pieces. I then called to see if I could come in to have the 3 worst nails fixed and was told they only "guarantee" regular nail polish for one day after an appointment. $115 for a "one day" manicure and pedicure ... absolutely not read more

The nail salon was so peaceful and the vibe was great! This was our best experience at a nail salon ever. My fiancé and I got our nails done here for our wedding and we got exactly what we wanted! We felt very taken care of and they took their time making sure our nails were perfection! They even recommended chrome for our pedicures and that was something we've never heard of before, so it was great that they offered awesome recommendations. Would come back again. read more

First time at Em's bar today and she did awesome! I had very specific requests and showed her a couple photos from Pinterest and she matched exactly what I wanted. The shaping is also great. They also offered a drink beforehand and an arm/ hand massage afterwards. She was also so nice and conversational. Would definitely recommend! read more

I have finally found a place in Bellingham that can do ANY designs I can think of or find on Pinterest... From paint designs, to chrome, to 3-D sweater art and everything in between. Everyone is super sweet and your even offered a beverage before getting started. In fact it's such a great place one time I heard two ladies saying that they come all the way from Skagit county to go to Em's nail bar and spa. I can honestly say that I will never go to another nail bar as long as Em's read more

First of all my Pedicure was great! I got the Natural pedicure. pedicurist lady did a great job! They charge too much for gel. $15 extra if you want gel. My friend got just the express pedi with no massage or sugar scrub. So just a foot soak and foot buffing for $25. When she checked out it was $40 because she had gotten gel. Manicure was horrible. They got started on my "manicure" while I was in the pedicure chair. My nails soaked for maybe 30 seconds. She clipped some Cuticle but not all that usually would be taken off. Meanwhile my complementary drink was right under where she clipped the Cuticles. There were Cuticle clippings in my drink. She filed maybe 20 seconds. Literally my $45 manicure took her 10 minutes to do. Including painting and drying of the gel! She was unhappy cause she suggested I do a full set because my nail beds were too small and she wanted to make them longer. Lol if she took off all the cuticle and actually pushed them back like a regular manicure would do maybe I would have more nail bed room. I know I already have small nail beds. I stayed with my gel manicure. Then when she checks me out she asked me to pull out cash cause it's better for her rather than card since she knew it was a big amount of cash she would get on the spot rather than using a card. So unprofessional. $95 for a gel manicure and pedicure. I've been to many nail salons and this one was very overpriced for the experience. read more

I went in for a pedicure, told them I wanted a French tip. I even showed them a picture of what i was wanting. The lady at the front told me to have a seat. Then another lady came and got started. Everything was going well until it came down to doing the acrylic on my toes. She started paining my toes and doing the French tip with the nail polish. My toes nails were very short I didn't like it. I wanted acrylic so I showed her exactly what I wanted, she became frustrated speaking in her language. Telling me you should have told me! She ripped the stuff off my toes, still frustrated speaking in her language. I apologize multiple times for the miscommunication but still continuing to tell me you should have told me. They asked me to wait, the gal that could do my nails was with a customer so I told them it was fine, I was willing to wait but by then I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. Point was I very excited to go in and get my toes done and then to leave with ugly toes and feeling uncomfortable just not a good experience I won't be going back. read more

I was in Bellingham and decided to check this nail spa out for the first time. Staff was friendly and place was empty so I was expecting at least a decent job. I got a French pedicure with nail art ( a flower) on the big toe. I naturally have dry skin but have had my cuticle and callous taken off properly. She scrubbed my callous for only about a minute each feet and partially removed cuticle. Filing nails was minimal too. The nail polish application was okay but finish very poor. And to top it off, she charged me $70 for a gel pedicure with a flower on the big toe. I would not have minded paying that if I had a better job done. Definitely I will not be going back. read more

I went in to get Dip... within 4 days the color completely faded. I was on vacation and as soon as I got back to town I went to show them. I was told they would re-do for 1/2 price. That's crazy. Then I was told I should have come in right away... to which I said I was across the county, I got into town @ 2:30am and went to the salon at 4:30pm. I told her to take it off,, I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere. I don't recommend them, not with lack of care or concern they had. read more

They do an ok job. Not the worst pedicure I've ever had, but it felt like they were doing the bare minimum and rushing, even though I was the only person there when I first arrived. Nice that they offer you a drink, and it's very clean. I hope this review encourages them to be more detailed. The paraffin barely covered my feet, the lotion was only put on the front, and they didn't shape all my nails, just a few - leaving them uneven lengths and shapes. read more

I feel like I was definitely overcharged and my manicure looked decent for only about 3 days. I went here because the reviews were so great but won't return because my experience was mediocre. read more
