David and his associate gave me, my sister and mother wonderful manicures and pedicures. For my pedicure they did a very gentle and careful job, with sugar scrub, hot rocks and hot towels and massage. They also have new massage chairs. My sister got a pedicure with bath and massage only no polish removal and a manicure with gel polish removal. David was helpful recommending to her how to let her nails grow naturally without the gel. He was very kind and attentive to my elderly mother being sure she got exactly what she wanted. I went in and wanted to get my toes done with a French tip and a set done on my feet. When I noticed the employee starting to paint my nails without putting the nails on I repeated what I wanted. I got from the guy "that's a lot of work." He wanted to change me 80$. I asked if that was the price they actually change because I didn't go in for just a pedicure and to pap my toes. They said come back another sessions. I was charged 40$ to have them half way so a pedicure and was so upsetting the voice and tone he used with me like it was so much for them. That's there service why would they take me in to complain about it. Bad service and I'm upset with my results it wasn't worth it. During new sitting in the chair they had some leak so water was everywhere. I got a snide remark about "don't sue me and slip." I would recommend to anyone. read more

Pretty disappointing. We came in for two pedicures and manicure. Very basic salon with dated chairs. Towels all had stains on them. There was a 3 year old there- daughter of one of the employees. She was cute at first- but when she threw a massive fit and wouldn't stop- it wasn't the relaxing experience you go in to a nail salon for. I believe I ended up getting the owner for my pedicure. Rather than paying attention to what he was doing. He spent the majority of the time running the shop- from answering phones, repainting a customer who returned whose gel polish chipped after 3 days and dealing with his staff. All while he randomly would come back to work on my pedicure. He was very aggressive and rushed when doing my cuticles. And when it came to painting- it was the same thing. Rushed! Completely didn't paint part of my big toe and got polish on my skin on the others. The quality and service was so poor I said no to having my manicure done there. Maybe if you have someone other than the owner- give it a try. But otherwise I'd stay away. It's not worth your time or money. read more

Kim and David are running the best nail salon in town, hands down. And I'm a local, so I've been to all of them! This is not a chop shop. They pay close attention to cleaning your nailbed, shaping your nails, and applying color perfectly. I do not get any lifting, chipping etc here. When I run my nails through my hair on day 5 after seeing them, I do not get any hairs catching- they smooth the bases on gels. This is quality work. If you are fortunate enough to be a regular, you know that this is a family-run business. It is a 2-person shop, and you will not have much luck if you simply try to walk-in. Make an appointment a day ahead of time. They will answer the phone if it rings- they do not have employees. However if you do choose to come here, know they treat you like family. David is hilarious and gives amazing massages, and Kim is a perfectionist and her work reflects it. This is truly the best nail shop in Bellingham. read more

I was a walk in on a Saturday and was able to be seated right away. I got a premium pedicure which was on sale and a gel manicure. The pedicure came with a sea salt scrub, cooling mud mask, hot stone massage, hot wax and about 15 minutes massage on each foot!!! I have been shopping for a great nail salon since moving to Bellingham 8 months ago, and today I found it! Diamond Nails (and David in particular) is now my place for nails! I had both a pedicure, which was luxurious and included wonderful leg and foot massage, and a manicure for my seriously funky fingernails. Both turned out fabulously. Additionally David did not rush his work to get on the next person. He took his time and did a highly professional (and ever so pleasing) job. The salon is clean, sanitized, and welcoming in both its spirit and decor. While you might pay a bit more than at other salons, the difference in quality that I experienced was worth it entirely. Walked in on a random Wednesday evening with a nail emergency and the owner was there to meet my needs! My pointer and middle finger acrylics had broken after just a few days from another salon. I told him that I needed thicker nails done since the thin ones broke off immediately and he listened, carefully shaping the width and length of the nails compared to the other hand so they would be even. I went to Diamond Nails today with high hopes because of the reviews and I was not disappointed!! David did my nails and my toes and they look amazing and I'm super happy with them. The store is super clean and still have their covid precautions set up around the store. They are very nice and the environment is super welcoming and had all around good vibes. The pedicure was nice and relaxing and David double checked to see if I was happy with them. I came to this establishment after a bad experience at my old salon, Silver Nail. David (the owner) did a set of acrylic French tips. I am so serious when I say that this was the best manicure. I had them done on the 25th of October and it is now the 25th of November and the tips are STILL on my nails!! How is this possible?! I have not even received a fill ( I am trying to grow my natural nails out- nail biter over here.) I liked the atmosphere better too. I had a really disappointing with this salon and in particular the salon owner David. I had gel polish done a little over a week ago and immediately after my nails hurt from being sanded down so thin and my nails started breaking right away. I didn't feel like I could do normal activities with my fingers because of my weak nails. I called David and explained what was happening and he assured me that he would make it right if I came back in the salon. So, I came in the next day and explained once again why I was disappointed. Right away he was agitated with me and started to raise his voice with me. He reminded me that everyone loves him and he has been doing nails for 21 years and it must be the client not his work. I tried to stay calm and told him that I did not appreciate how he was talking to me and that I don't think it is normal to have half of a clients nails break in a weeks time. I asked him to at least take the gel polish off for me so I could start over with my own nails cut short. While he was taking my polish off, he took the opportunity to again tell me that I'll was the problem and not his work and used an aggressive posture & raised his voice once again while speaking to me. It was a horrible experience & I was so glad to get out of the salon. I wanted to leave this review to warn other women about how this business owner speaks to clients and how he treats them when they are less than thrilled with his work. read more

The owner did my toes and hands and he was horrible. I had to request that he go over it again with multiple coats and he acted extremely annoyed. He filed my nails so far down they looked like they were going to bleed! The polish on my thumb nail was peeling off when I left the shop, I just did not have the energy to go back and make him do it again. Would never go back! Update: Went in the next day to get my nails fixed, as the polish on my nails was peeling off, and as soon as I walked in the door and told them what I needed, David said "did you write that bad review?" I told him I did as I was very disappointed with how my nails were done the day prior and how he reacted. He told me I was an angry person(ha!) and that it was horrible that I wrote that review! Everyone was looking at us in shock. He then told me to sit down and wait because it was going to be a long time. There were two ladies not helping customers that could of helped me but pretended they were busy. After 10 minutes, a customer came in and the two ladies working looked at each other and realize they had to help me at that point. The owner told me to go sit in a chair and wait and said to the ladies that they "better help me or she is going to write another bad review." One of the woman that was standing around started taking my polish off and then left me for 40 minutes to take care of someone else. She finally finish my nails and as I was heading out, I went to give her a $5 tip for redoing it and in a very angry tone, David says "I don't want your money!" I told him it was a tip and he said, "I don't care, I don't want it" and then motions me to get out. This guy is a piece work! He has some nerve doing a lackluster job on my nails and then lashing out at me because I wrote an honest review of a terrible experience to warn future customers. You've been warned! :) read more

The nail technician took great care with my nails, was very gentle and she was very meticulous. A regular manicure cost $18, which isn't the cheapest around, but was well worth it for the care I received. It was also very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Hopefully it's just the receptionist that's extremely rude and it wasn't a nail technician that answered. I asked a simple question, "how much is a full set" and she answers 27.99 and then says "actually, hold on let me check". The lady gives the phone to another person and I asked the same question. The new person on the other end says, "she just told you so why are you asking" well then why did she give you the phone ? I'm a little late posting this but I got my nails done here and I had such a wonderful experience! I got a pedi and a full set I also got my daughters nails painted. They gave me a more natural nail rather than a thick nail like most places do. I had two people work on me I had one lady who did the acrylics and another who painted the design I wanted on my nails. I originally went to Bakerview to go to the nail place by 5 guys to get a pedicure, but they weren't open yet. I saw the open sign across the way to Diamond Nails and decided to give it a shot, and it was phenomenal! They have a special for manicures and pedicures going and I not only recieved a hot stone massage, but they put my feet in a warm wax that felt amazing, my feet feel wonderfully soft and smooth. I was greeted so warmly and everyone in there was friendly and smiling. They have newer chairs as well that give fantastic massages. Another thing I really liked was the basins that you soak your feet in were cleaned out as fast as people would leave!! Thank you! read more
