This place is a joke. I've tried 3 times to make an appointment. Apparently there is only one…read moreperson who could give a Swedish massage. This was a gift of a Groupon. My only recourse is to deal with Groupon, which means I have a headache ahead of me. What a terrible business practice. AVOID THEM!

I found a great Groupon deal for an hour long couples massage. ~$85 cost. I was unsure of what to…read moreexpect from Nature Spa based on other reviews. It's safe to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my massage. First impression made me question my decision to come here. The low lighting and signs over the windows lead to the belief that the business is closed. Once inside, it's a relaxing atmosphere with gentle background music. There's a large partition separating the "communal massage" area from the lobby. There are several small rooms to the right, used for couples massages. Prior to your massage, the front desk lady provides a form for you to fill out. You provide information regarding level of pressure, areas of focus, medical conditions, etc. The masseuse may or may not follow the instructions. Following the form, the front lady tries to up-sell. The tipping sign may seem in poor taste to some people, but I think it's helpful for people that may not be familiar with tip etiquette following a massage. The couples room was nicely laid out and comfortable. The table, including the face rest, is very warm and comfortable. The masseuse gives very little time to undress and get situated. Once the background sounds, consisting of cell phone ringing/customer service/ringing bell, died out, the massage was amazing! The masseuse really tries to focus on each muscle group. She really had a lot of strength in her hands and wasn't afraid to put some elbow into it. I've really never had such a thorough massage. Massage over sheet, bare skin massage, hot towel.... absolutely perfect. The front desk lady takes away from the relaxing experience by entering the room at the end to attempt another up-sell. She should leave this to the masseuse rather than breaking the mood. I'm used to relaxing following a massage, but felt that I needed to quickly dress and leave.

The individuals working in the store are from Asia and not all of them have very good English…read moreskills. Despite this, they are smart enough to print and laminate a paper that lists their services and prices. For instance, you can get a chair massage for 30 minutes for $30 (tax is included in that amount). Shorter times and foot massages were also available for lesser amounts, but I always go for 30 minutes so I can truly relax and enjoy the experience. They have two locations in the mall. One is a roped off area in the center of the mall aisle near one of the entrances. That one is very public and noisy, but still adequate. Personally, I prefer the in-store location where some of the mall noise is blocked and you don't have everyone walking by gawking at you. You can even go a step further and request a table instead of a chair. You don't take off your clothes for either. The tables are behind big screens that provide further privacy since no one in the mall or store can see you at all. I've noticed that the massage routine is practically identical whether I'm in Tucson, Arizona; Pearl City, Hawaii or Bellingham, Washington. It is consistently good in each location. There isn't a lot of communication with the customer before the massage except to agree on the time and payment amount. No one asked if I had any injuries or areas of concern. There was no liability waiver to sign or record of the service. I didn't even get a receipt, and I paid by cash, so their business practices could be subject to future scrutiny. Regardless, they offer a great massage at a decent price. If I'm back in town, I will definitely stop by and get one.
