She explained what she was doing every step of the way, and also spent time discussing the process/answering my questions at the end, since I definitely fell asleep for part of the session. Love that the products she uses are natural, and several local items too, like the floral water, and the argan oil, which is from her own line of products. I got some good tips on how to continue a skin care routine at home, and brought a few products home with me that I'm excited to use. It was also my first time doing energy work, and it was fun to talk to Melissa about what that was like, and learn more about this. Lastly - she gave me some great ideas for what to do with the rest of my weekend in the area (we had an awesome hike at Stimpson Family Reserve, which we wouldn't have discovered without her recommendation). I had a meeting with another plastic surgeon in Del mar, California. His estimate was startling and well beyond what I could afford. I then went to see Dr. Lichtenberger and he explained to me that I didn't need to undergo unnecessary procedures to get what I was looking for. Instead, he felt that I could attain a natural look and that's exactly what he did for me at a reasonable cost. The office staff at Life Aesthetic Center, including Erin, Debbie and Dana, made me feel so much at home and so comfortable while undergoing the initial consultation, the preoperative appointment and finally the procedure and follow-up appointments, putting me at ease with lots of great information. Dr. Lichtenberger is one of the most sincere, patient and truly caring people I have ever met. He is an outstanding listener, and I never felt like I was asking a stupid question. Despite my nervousness prior to the procedures, he said that was normal and on the day of my procedures, he put me at ease the entire time. She is an incredible esthetician with lots of knowledge and skills. I have gotten facials since I was 14 and she is the best esthetician I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I first saw her, I had moderate cystic-like acne and active acne with multiple breakouts per month. Just after few months of treatment (1-2x a month facials), my acne was less severe, scars were less noticeable, and I started breaking out less. Fast forward 2 years, I started getting compliments on my complexion from strangers. Now, I break out only when I eat certain foods (milk chocolate, french fries, pizza) or around my period. So ever since then, I have been on her appointment book once a month for the past 4 years. Wow. That's crazy but I am so thankful that I have found Dagmar! Her prices are very fair as well. She is also known for eyelash extensions, reiki (energy healing - has done a lot of incredible work on me!), and electrolysis. I have had around 50 total hours of electrolysis on those areas; which have been worked on by a handful of electrologists all along Puget Sound. When I saw my other electrologists, I would always leave those appointments with super red, inflamed, sometimes burned, blistered, scabbed over skin. Not to mention, the treatments themselves were painful because insertion of the needle was done incorrectly. My skincare routine following those appointments consisted of Neosporin all over my face, everyday, for upwards of a week until the treated areas healed. Unsightly to say the least. Dagmar is undoubtedly the best. The fact that I feel no pain during treatment and very mild redness afterwards speaks for itself. Her aesthetics background further validates why I feel so comfortable getting treated by her.
