My friend and I met here for bday pedis recently and it was a great experience! So nice to get the ol' tootsies a spring refresh after months being locked inside wool socks and waterproof boots. I didn't realize how big this place is! It's one of the bigger nail salons I've seen in Bham, with plenty of comfy pedicure seats and manicure stations. We didn't even need an appointment - just walked right in and, within moments, we were seated with our feet soaking. They have a great menu of services to choose from. We picked basic gel pedis, but they offer more full-service options including leg massages, heated towel wraps, etc. The technicians were friendly and professional, and they have literally a zillion colors to choose from. If I could give a 0 star, I would. I went in to have my nails done and the lady that came to do my nails was extremely rude to me when she walked up and then (not knowing I understand a lot of words in Vietnamese) she started talking badly about me out loud in Vietnamese to her co-workers that were nearby. I got up and walked out. I called a couple days later to speak to a manager and the receptionist was really paranoid when I asked to speak with a manager. She said "she's on a trip".. I asked when she would be back and the receptionist literally hung up on me. This salon has a very catty and toxic environment. read more

Worst manicure I've ever gotten! I got a gel mani and had some acrylic placed on two nails because they were cracked. I asked for almond yet they are shaped like blobs. The design is shitty even tho it was simple. If you can't do it, you should say that instead of doing abad job. My cuticles weren't even cleaned or pushed back and they charged me $150. I usually come here because I like the walk in availability. I came here on 5/1/2023 to get my nails done and I felt super rushed even though it was slow. then the manicurist clipped my thumb nail too short and left my other thumb at correct length. she didn't seem like she was going to even it out so after she was about to put her drill away I asked her to even out my nails and after the fact she tried to say she was waiting for my nail to dry. Next she didn't know how to shape my nails. I asked for coffin and got box shaped nails. These nails are pretty but she messed up my length and didn't plan on fixing it and then didn't know how to shape and she rushed way too much. the quality in this shop is going down and I will be finding somewhere else to be getting my nails done. read more

My sis took me for a birthday gift. We both had manicures. I tool my own polish, she used salon polish. My are fine, hers are not. Both regular polish, not gel. Hers never really dried, by the time we walked out 2 of her nails were smudged after 15 minutes in the dryer. After a couple of hours the polish seemed to be melting off her nails. Maybe a conditioner was left on the nail? She went back and talked to the lady, she said it was because it was regular polish that we have used for decades, before gel.sje was given $10 back for a $30 manicure. Bad business. read more

By far the best nails I've ever had done! I was a little nervous with the photo I showed the nail tech and that it would come out not like the photo. While the pedi/mani were good, the eye brows were a disaster leaving me with open sores from the waxing. You can see it on the photo which is 3 days AFTER I got this done--At first when having paid and left I thought that the red would go away but then it became aggressively painful and I realized that they had torn/removed the skin with the wax. It is painful and disfiguring. I paid with a very good tip --Had I known I would have contested the bill. I will not return. I am no longer coming back to this nail salon. Reason why I kept going back was because I felt like their prices were pretty reasonable compare to some other nail salons here in Bellingham. The last few times I have visited it started to feel like they were rushing the services and also my nails were not looking that great. Today I decided to get a fill and picked a solid color, nothing crazy. And once again the service was rushed. The lady was really nice to me so I can't be super mad but at the same time she did not do a great job with my nails. At one point she was filing my nails aggressively that she cut the corner of my skin. She apologized but there's still no excuse for rushing. Also she did not paint my nails well, they don't look smooth at all. They all look uneven. I didn't complain to the owner because like I said the nail lady was really nice to me. I have now gone here twice with excellent results. Both times I called in seeing if I could get in with short notice and I was accommodated without any prolonged wait. Lots of free parking, too! I have 'challenged' big toe nails and they need some TLC with grinding down. Each time here I received very attentive care. The salon is clean, the chairs are in very good condition, and the techs listen and ask questions if there are any communication issues. UPDATE: I have been a customer at Happy Nails for three and a half years, coming every 2 weeks. The owner, Ti, is rude and does not appreciate her customers. She only wants your money and could care less about quality of work and keeping customers. I recently started seeing a technician, Daisy because the technician I was seeing no longer does acrylic. Today while getting my nails done, I was told my last tip of 15% wasn't good enough from my last visit. She then said, well we still took your appointment this time. Tip: TIPPING IS OPTIONAL and leave a gratuity every time I've been here. Being a consistent customer and bringing business apparently wasn't good enough. I have also brought in gifts in the past during the holidays. Sometimes I can tip more, but always am generous. I have paid and supported your business by being a regular customer every two weeks for far too long! I'm more than happy to take my business elsewhere. Goodbye "Happy Nails". I scheduled an appointment over the phone for acrylic and gel, but when I got there they said they were too busy for acrylics. I left with an uneven painted gel manicure, uneven nail length, and some gel around my fingers. Pretty disappointed especially seeing some of the good work on other people's nails from this place. read more

I've come here maybe 10-15 different occasions and every time walked out 100% satisfied. They have decent prices and have different nail techs with varying specialties so that way you get their expert in dips versus acrylic and gel. They also have one very good detailer so expect to wait longer if you want to add art afterwards. This time I requested a coffin shape with tips and dip powder. Their pedicures are also great. The main reason I love this place and drive 35 minutes for it is because the nails stay looking fresh for a long time and they have a huge staff so you don't have to wait most of the time if you're come without an appointment. read more

I asked for short coffin nails with a pretty pink gel polish. I was SO excited to get my nails done after MONTHS OF QUARANTINE, and I am completely unhappy with the results. I had an appointment for 6 pm, and had to wait for a spot for 20 minutes, and was switched between two different techs. The nail length is perfect, but the thin, pleasing coffin shape is nowhere to be found. I was rushed out due to their poor timing skills, and my nails are chunky and uneven. I won't ever be coming back here. The tech that did my nails had supposedly worked there for 6 years.... I can't believe that based on how my nails look. I will be re-filing them myself. I wish I could give them zero stars but it's not a opposition. Today I went in w my three other friends. And boy did I get the worst treatment ever! The filter in the pedi bowel kept popping off. So I informed one ladies and she screwed it back on. Then it happened again and again and again. Then I noticed some weird white floaters in the bowel. I told the lady about it and she told me to just put my feet back in. I felt uncomfortable and said no I don't feel right doing that. Then as she's setting there the filter fell off AGAIN! Then she started ripping the plastic lining and saying " I'll put a new liner on for you. " I said okay. Then she said it again but loader! And then she took the whole thing wound it up and throw it at my feet! Worst place ever!!!! read more

This experience was terrible. First, we were told the manicures were $10 but got charged 15 and 13. The tech did not paint my nails the color that I picked and got the polish all over my fingers and never removed the polish from my skin. Not to mention the terrible heart shape. The top coat also smudged the bottom coat on the pink nail. We asked for a discount and only got $1 taken off of the total even though we plan to remove the polish immediately. I was getting a fill and noticed eyelash extensions were available by Amy. was curious about them and asked to see her portfolio. seemed ok so I thought I'd try some for a holiday party. she was done in 45 minute, my eyes hurt so bad. my eyes became infected and I'm now dealing with clogged tear ducts and paying medical bills for what they did they did to me. my lashes broke off, she didn't sanitize or clean my lashes. so scary. I have been to this salon twice now. I am giving it a 3 star rating because the services I have tried are only mediocre. Pluses- Lots of chairs and technicians Friendly staff Great parking Minuses- Very basic service for pedicures Botched results Their pedicure is really just a nail trim and paint job. If you want a good foot massage go elsewhere. For $25. I usually go to another place and for the same price they exfoliate, file nails, remove excess cuticle, remove calluses, massage feet and legs and moisturize as well as trim and paint your toenails. The manicure was ok. Pretty basic. I don't wear acrylic nails or do the gel nails so I can't review those services. All in all, just a basic nail joint. The positives: Happy Nails is a big place, and can usually accommodate same-day appointments. The nail technicians are usually friendly and do a nice job. The negatives: Both scheduling people/front desk managers I've encountered are extremely rude and unfriendly, both over the phone and in person. I've been here roughly 10 times, and each time is the same, curt, frowning greeting. Most recently, I made an appointment for two pedis, and had a mani right before, that ended right on time... Then I was taken to sit for my pedi. My friend arrived 5 minutes later, and we waited for a half hour for our pedis before speaking up. The front desk person screeched over and loudly scolded us for not checking in, saying nobody knew we were waiting (uhm, what? We were sitting in plain sight) and that we should have told her, etc. I told her that she shouldn't speak to customers that way, especially in front of other customers, and she continued to scold us, telling us we were wrong. We were both appalled. So much for a relaxing experience. Yikes. read more
