Ok so the review I thought I was going to leave last night is different than what I'm leaving now! Yesterday I got a spray tan. I'm naturally very fair and going on vacation. I've had good and bad spray tans before, never with d-light. I conveyed that I was concerned about turning orange. Heather was so delightful and comforting. I get my spray on. I look crazy. It's purplish gray. Heather said Trust the process. I drove home. I'm streaky, I'm sticky, I'm frustrated, I'm worried. 3 hours later I shower off and I have a very light greyish tan. I was initially a little disappointed it wasn't very warm. I thought "bummer this was not worth the money." I go to sleep on it, wake up....Bronze (for me) goddess!!!!! I don't know if it was the lights I was standing in the night before or if it continued to develop overnight. It's a warm tan but not crazy and not streaky at all. I love it! Trust the process! After my dermatologist prescribed special D-light therapy for my eczema and related skin annoyances, I started looking for an alternative to their very expensive, clinic-provided, tanning booth sessions. Lo and behold, Bella Body and Sol, in the Fairhaven end of Bellingham Washington, has two of these same special tanning booths, which they promote as "D-Light Therapy" (as in "Vitamin D"). They also have very competitive (aka generous) pricing options for tanning sessions. I've been coming here for almost 2 years, and love the results! I feel wonderful, my skin feels and looks much better, and my dermatologist and primary doc tell me: "Whatever you're doing, keep it up - your skin is much healthier, and we see no melanoma issues". Living in the Pacific Northwest, I don't always get as much sunlight as I need or want. I used to look like I visited a "paling booth" until those special 2 weeks after July 5th, when the sun comes out (just kidding - it's at least 3 weeks). When you walk into the door of this business I think there are two things that jump right out at you... it's uber clean, and all the employee's (if there) say hi and make you feel welcome. You check in like any other place listing current contact info, health concerns (I was there for a massage) and so on. Like I said I was there for the massage. It's like (for me) always in search of the perfect bloody mary during my travels. As luck would have it I was scheduled with Inga, a massage therapist with a wide range of knowledge about massage technique, and anatomy. You can never go wrong with EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE... Inga took the time to get to know me and my concerns first and foremost prior to my massage.. and HERE is the kicker... my massage was scheduled for an hour..... and I GOT the entire hour...can you believe it? So what I'm saying, and most of you that have been to the BIG BOX massage companies know that their massages are about 45 mins real time. Price, $75 for the hour... there IS a difference folks between a $75 and hour session vs a $49 and hour session by someone who just got out of school..... well worth it AT LEAST with Inga. PLUS they have packages you can buy that offer reduced rates. (I'll be doing that for sure) I would like to comment on another service they offer. I have seen the results of Heather (the owner) capabilities doing cosmetic tattooing.... WOW she is good. Scheduled a facial at Bella's, a bit tricky to find at first but I located the building. Everyone was friendly and courteous at the front desk and the woman who did my facial was very knowledgeable and told me much about the products. Would highly recommend. The only thing I was unsure of was their tipping system. I'm old school, I used cash to tip and they seemed surprised by that, maybe that isn't customary. All well, still a great facial! Bella Body and Sol is clean, calm and never has a perfume smell since they don't use any here. You will smell scents from essential oils that are used during your message. I have found a little slice of heaven. Just walking in this place felt magical. The staff was friendly and helpful. I needed a spray tan to even out a farmers tan for a wedding and low and behold I found this gem. Not only are the products safe and free of chemicals but the tan was very natural looking. I got multiple comments on how great my tan looked. I highly recommend this Salon to anyone. I also love their custom crafted body lotions they smell amazing! Recently was on a trip to Bellingham to visit some old friends, I'd heard great things about this new spa so decided to try it out. First off it was extremely easy to book, I believe I spoke with the owner Heather (?), she explained in great detail what services they offered. I choose a massage and a wax. Both were really fantastic, i'm not a huge massage fan but it really was relaxing. I've been waxing for many years and thought the wax was really good, no bumps or irritation afterwards. I don't really write reviews, but I felt that this was important. Despite my eyebrow wax being fine, the person who did it (I believe it was Heather the owner) was extremely unprofessional. The highlight was when she used the word "retarded", which I don't even like spelling out, which should have been retired years ago (it's 2019). I have been getting regular massages for years and this was one of the best! The ambiance of the place is classy and relaxing. The customer service was excellent - offering pineapple tea with honey as I filled out paperwork. The massage itself was insanely relaxing. I was excited to try a new waxing salon in town but was left disappointed. I had my face, eyebrows and full legs done. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. The waxing service itself was not thorough. Even with a magnifying glass, the girl who did my waxing missed many spots. I had clumps of hair left on my legs. My upper lip wasn't waxed well either. My eyebrows weren't shaped or cleaned up. I haven't had any other services done here so I can't speak on that but waxing is not their forte. read more

Went here for a wax and it was the worst Brazilian I have ever received. Trust me I have had plenty before and this one was by far the worst. The lady had made me feel very uncomfortable (awkwardly hugged my leg when I told her she was burning me with the wax) and wasn't listening to me during the appointment when the wax was too hot and she was pressing down with it to hard. To make it worse I just found out she was getting use to "waxing" again since she had been doing lazer hair removal. Called to complain and they said they would mail me a refund. They said they did and I never received it. Not only were they rude the second time I called for the refund, but they said they would call me back after thy figured it out and never did. I wouldn't suggest going here if you want a good Brazilian wax, I would suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Came here a few months ago for my first Brazilian wax, but felt at ease after reading the Yelp reviews! Don't remember the name of the lady who did my wax, but I could not have imagined a worse first waxing experience. First of all my waxer was extremely unprofessional (kept leaving the room to go talk to her kids and boyfriend who were in the lobby). I had heard that a Brazilian wax usually take about 20-30 minutes (I have had many since then and can confirm this), however I was laying on the table for at least an hour. After waxing, my technician spent about 20 minutes with a tweezer trying to get out all of the hairs that she missed whiling doing the wax. At this point I was in so much pain that the technician said I should book another appointment and come back in a few days. Safe to say I did not come back again. I have received many waxes from another studio and can definitely handle the pain, but my wax at Bella Body and Sol had me almost in tears. read more
