As a long time Majestic Spa client, I booked a facial with Beth, a senior technician. She cancelled my prior appointment so I decided to give her another try. To my disappointment, this appointment was also cancelled that morning, again due to her personal reasons. Not a good track record. I will not be asking for her again. There are other excellent technicians that I can see. I did get into the Burlington location that same day with a new person. That massage was very so-so. I was asked 1 question by the technician. No inquiries on what I preferred. No conversation, no personality. A very mechanical kind of massage. Not typical. I will not be returning to Burlington. read more

Was in town for the weekend and wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a foot massage for our anniversary since he's on his feet all day for work. They called the morning of and asked if can move 12:30p appt to 11:45a. Sounded great to me. We arrived at 11:30a, given a locker key. There's a steam room in each of the gender bathroom along with a shower. And a towel waiting in your locker. The waiting area is quaint and comfy. Lauren, the masseuse, called him in a little after 11:45a and ended the service before 12:13p. So it was kind of disappointing she didn't provide the full service time. The customer service of the front desk was impeccable. There was a bit of a misunderstanding of what was advertised to me when I booked the service but they were so patient as we figured it out. And made arrangements regarding the issue. The 2 ladies at the front desk were amazing!! Check this place out, there's a parking lot and they have the most adorable hand made jewelry in the spa lobby made by their very own staff. read more

Here is the rest of the story. After being taken back, I was given a robe and sandals. The sandals were at least five sizes too small for me, and I was told to try to squeeze my toes in because I couldn't use the steam room or shower without them. There was no chance I could get them on. The massage that followed was, by spa standards, well below average. I get massages regularly from an LMP and others that this massage didn't come close to matching. Then there was someone talking in the hotel that was carrying through the ventilation or something. And to top it off, she used a greasy oil on the back of my neck. You never use greasy oil on the back of a man's neck! A shower was now critical to get the oil off my neck and out of my hair. Sorry, I didn't use the sandals! But I was paid back for that transgression by having to take a lukewarm shower. I ended up leaving immediately afterward to go home and take a real shower. read more

purchased items for over $500 - returned items unopened within 4 days. cashier told me to expect a refund with in a week Still after a month they have not refunded my money. I canceled my membership at the same time within cancellation periods they took another $145 out of my account. Still no refund. I'm not sure who is running this company but my experience was horrible. they now have over $600 that they owe me. I just want my refund. read more

I give the Spa a 1 rating not as a reflection of the massage that I was given, but because one of the employees was wearing a political symbol on their clothing. I pointed out that it was inappropriate to do so and was ignored. The masseuse handled my questions on the subject impressively well, but was obviously clueless to the issues that were involved in her political choice. It was easy to tell that she agreed with the young person at the desk (the one wearing the symbol on her clothing). The massage was ok. The customer service here is appalling. They ruined a birthday surprise my husband had planned 2 months in advance for me, twice. They called me to confirm our appointments and made up an elaborate lie that they called xx64 instead of xx63, when I have an out of state phone number. Then they sent me a confirmation text 2 days later. When I called to ask what the issue was, they said it was noted that the appointments were a birthday surprise and not to call me. The next day they called my husband to ask him to move one of our appointments (he had booked facials and a couples massage) to accommodate another client. Are you kidding me? He said no. Is it a surprise that the next day (today) at about 5:45pm we are told a provider is "sick" (convenient 2 days before Christmas) and our scheduled couples message (which they now say they have booked separately) need to be cancelled. But we can still do the facials. Absolutely not. I wouldn't waste my money after the completely horrible experience l, after going here for 5 years. Icing on the cake is that last year they had a broken pipe and we couldn't have the lunch we planned or use the steam room or showers. 2 years in a row of disappointment. We will never come back and we will share this awful mess with friends and family. Management needs to do better. And bc I know you'll make the same post, 1. My husband requested female massage therapists, so having us scheduled with a male just confirms the booking was messed up from the get go. 2. We were not offered a different appointment time today, for tomorrow. We were told 1 of the massages was completely cancelled. read more

The steam room and shower was offered up as included with my massage and it's very nice, good size and attractive. I bought my wife a gift certificate in febuary for valintines day.i was finally able to get her an appointment in june for the massage. For busy people that have careers getting a gift certificate to this place is a waste of time. I was told we needed to book a massage 2 to 3 weeks in advance. This wasent told to me when i bought the gift certificate or i wouldnt have purchased it. When i asked about a refund i was told they couldnt do that either. Visited the spa with my mom on a Saturday for massages. I had the prenatal massage and my mom had the deep tissue. My mom said the deep tissue was great! The prenatal was not so great, but I think that might be just because I couldn't get comfortable on my side. They have a wide variety of essential oils and lotions to choose from to upgrade your service. The spa itself is on the smaller side but still offers a lot of services. The common waiting area is also on the smaller side and seems a bit cramped with 7 people in it. They offer showers and toiletries so you can freshen up after your services. There is also a eucalyptus steam room in the locker rooms. The spa is located inside of the cutest little hotel in Anacortes and is perfect for a weekend getaway. I also love and appreciate that they offer a 15%(?) military discount! read more

Esthetician Lee practiced rudimentary facial techniques. I think her work was compromised by not having the proper equipment. No steam was applied to my face. No extractions were performed. A neck and shoulder massage was advertised but not included in my treatment. The hand massage was minimal while the arm massage went on for a while. A facial costing this amount in the SF Bay Area includes advanced facial massage techniques. Also, after the added scalp massage the technician didn't resecure my hair in a towel or wrap. She continued to apply the product to my face and my hair fell into the product and was being dragged across my face. I'm clear she was not aware of this. Further, there was not heated neck pillow placed under my neck. My daughter, Aurora was also dissatisfied with her massage. She asked the technicial to use medium pressure but experienced something more extreme. She winced and made sounds to let her therapist know she was uncomfortable but they were not heeded. This visit was such a disappointment after so many great visits to the Apothecary Spa. read more

Today I saw Summer for a Brazilian wax. I know this area can make people a little nervous, but Summer made me feel so comfortable. Obviously this is a sensitive area, but I'm comparison to previous Brazilian waxes I've had in the past, this was by far the least painful. The spa was very clean and and I love the atmosphere.
