This is an adorable nail shop in town and I had the pleasure of having Dianne work on my nails. I am new to Anacortes and came to her after I was unhappy with another nail service. Dianne was able to get my nails back to their former glory, as I need Acrylic overlay with gel on top bc I am rough with my hands at home and gardening. I was also pleasantly surprised that she was able to do a design I saved on my phone with no hesitation. After being turned away from four salons first thing (9am) on a Tuesday morning, I called nail therapy but no one answered initially. I just had another great pedicure experience with Meghan. She does an excellent job--and she is also the nicest young lady you could hope to meet. I always look forward to seeing her! I've been going to Nail Therapy since they opened and have found my spot! I adore Kristine and Dianne and her family. They've made me feel at home since day 1. And I enjoy all their services and worth every penny. For pedis, they provide you with the menu of services with the price and mani prices are listed in the waiting room. And they do killer nails. Just a few examples of what Kristine has done for me that a my friends around the world love. There's the Jade, Dirty tiger, Clase Azul, Speedracer, cosmic crush, Burberry Trench, and Tortoise from Anacortes (photos attached!) They also go above and beyond for their clients - stay late, come early, open on days off, call/text and are just fun all around. I am so outraged! Avoid avoid avoid this establishment! My young teen daughter called to make an appointment for shellac inquired on the cost (as she was paying this with her hard earned money). She calls me in tears after she was done as they charged her over $70+. They fooled her by up selling services without even verbally telling her the cost. They put her in a position where she couldn't say no and then they tell her her bill was over $70 with a forced 15% tip! I called them as I was livid! The worst part was how they answered me with a no care attitude. Blaming my daughter and then me. They totally took advantage of her and wanted to just take her money! Shame on you! read more

I called on Saturday to see if they could take me as a walk in because their yelp page says walk-ins welcome. Kristine told me she didn't have any that day and could schedule me for an appointment for Monday after I got off work at 4pm. I told her that'll be perfect and I'd come straight from work to get my nails filled. I drove 40 minutes from Oak Harbor and showed up on time. Once I got there, Meagan greeted me and told me she had to call her manager (Kristine). Apparently, she was in Seattle. Meagan got off the phone and asked if I could come back tomorrow. I politely declined and told her I wouldn't be coming back at all. If there was an emergency or something, I understand things happen. But I should've gotten a call to reschedule my appointment. Instead, I got a text confirmation Saturday and Sunday for my appointment for today at 4pm nothing else. This was very unprofessional. This place is so amazing. To start I called a day before and she managed to fit me in the next day at 7 o'clock after my busy work day. I was serviced by Diana and got a pedicure and her massage was amazing. I got a gel French tip pedicure and she is so talented with the brush that she barely needed to do any clean up. Also was offered a glass of wine at no up charge. I went to spa school and this place is very clean pristine and up to regulations. Everything was fresh out the autoclave. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:15 for wedding acrylic set as a gift from and with my soon to be mother in law. At 1:00, they rescheduled it for 2:30. In the mad dash to accommodate (my mil raced from anacortes to oak harbor to this place trying to make the new unplanned time change, i ended up being 8 min late. The lady that "greeted" us was a horrible woman. She literally Openly chastised my mother in law in a wheelchair because of amputation, for the inconvenience of being 8 min late when we had to race to get there because of their change! I asked for an acrylic set. 2 colors with rhinestone accents thinking old fashion paint and rhinestone stickies. Pretty but not rocket science. (Pics of what i wanted AND what I got included). Same lady went for a price gouge right from the start and quoted an obnoxious amount of $190! So I had a back up plan and by this time.....she is really snotty. I had decals and charms I paid for m, lived but wasn't sure of especially after opinion of others when i asked but thought, well maybe the rhinestones are over the top and asked, ok. Single color with helping me apply my own stuff so I don't mess up my nails since it is day before the wedding and i know i can't get an appointment anywhere else this fast to fix this and am becoming desperate and she staunchly quotes the same $190!!! I settled for at least my wedding colors thinking she would use plain acrylic and just paint it. No. She used the colored acrylic (Wait until you see the underside), has an attitude and refuses to even look at me the entire time and was painfully rough with my hands burning me with her drill sander in her rush to get me out a few times and worse for $70. They refused to put any decals on my mother in laws nails at all and rudely rushed my maid of honor through too because they falsely advertise "walk-in welcome" and refused to keep the appointment with my mother in law if they did my maid of honors nails so mom in law abstained. At least my matron of honor had a pleasant experience with the one lady's sister and they were done with care. Mine. Not so much. By the end of everything.....all i wanted to do was leave. Cry and leave. Still wanting to have some sparkle on my nails for my wedding day and hoped I could just glue on my own charms....things went from bad to worse. Long story short.....Don't let them change your time or they treat you like crap. Don't have any decorations and you won't break the bank but if quality and human kindness is something you want....STAY FAARRRRR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE Especially if it's your wedding! I have never had a better pedicure!!! Thoroughness! Friendliness! Custom services based on my needs! Relaxing atmosphere and THE best massage chairs I've ever experienced. My feet are saying THANK YOU! In addition to the pedicure, which was what I came in for: I got brave and showed Dianna my fingernails, which I have bitten to the quik for years.A Expecting the usual response (YIKES! Acrylics will NEVER stick - they're way too short), I was pleasantly surprised. Dianna did not shame me and was familiar with my problem - being that I have been fighting this habit for many years (like about 70). She assured me that she had a method that would work and she went to work on them immediately. I love how they look - not too long and a natural color that doesn't draw attention, but looks beautiful. As if that wasn't enough she explained what needs to happen for maintenance AND being that I live out of state she gave me her card and said I or a nail tech could call her anytime and explain the procedure. Waited in a cute waiting room for a short time, then seated in a nice quality massage chair. Color selection was excellent. Pedicure was well done and has held up well so far. I've been here i believe 3 or 4 times. My last appt was in January , walked out of the nail salon and had sores all around my cuticles by a different nail tech and instantly had two nails break two days later. Came back this month for a fill in,And as i was getting my acrylics taken off by Diane she had use a nail clipper to take off my nail and ended up clipping my nail along with a small section of my skin. I've never had an issue like this before and I'm super upset .. because i work with my hands at a office job and to see underneath my nail is constantly bleeding all day plus I'm also going out of town... so to have a sore thumb with a some skin taken off is super upsetting and unprofessional. I get it long day and lots of clients but not an excuse to rush and to also not pay attention that my nail was already short... and then clip my skin along with a tiny portion of my nail. I am so disappointed with this service at Nail Therapy. After one week, my toe nail was so weak as the technician took a dead skin a lot, even though I told her not to do that much. But she kept doing it, she was so horrible. Well, I was so shock as my toe nail was completely OFF after I took a shower. I was lucky to get into my first appointment because of a no show client. Dianna provided my service and was friendly and did a goid job. My second visit, I was supposed to have Dianna compete my fill but instead a different woman did my nails and I was not happy with my nail colors. I was charged an extra dollar per nail to have a different color on each nail to do an ombre from orange to white. This was even I had brought my own polish. She removed and replaced 4 tips and the total was $65. There was no regard for my satisfaction with her service although this is a fairly new salon in our town and this was the first time she had done my nails. The next day I called to ask Dianna to do a color change and explained what I wanted. The following day I returned and although I explained what I wanted she refused to help me choose colors. I like the final look of my nails although again there was no regard for my satisfaction and I was charged an additional $35. For the color change. Again anadditional dollar per nail for different colors. Before tips, I've spent over $100. for 4 new tips, 6 nails receiving a fill and gel polish. There is no where that their prices are posted and I felt it was more important to make the very most money with little concern for my satisfaction of their service or gaining my business as a long term customer. As someone who has been having my nails done for 30 years, 25 of that in Anacortes, this is the first time I've felt such little regard for how I was treated and if I was happy with their service. read more

Had a fill done here and whatever they use as a top coat stunk so bad. The shape of my nails were horrible, even when I asked her to please fix it, she got annoyed. She cut me twice as well.
