I have been going here for years. I must admit, it took me some time to learn their systems. Appointments are required and being on time is imperative as they have a certain amount of time allotted for all procedures. Being late throws everything off and if they can't see you based on your lateness and their schedule, be understanding, it's not their fault, it's yours. I have had to wait for appointments when people no show or don't bother to cancel, so many others could have been seen sooner. They all do such a nice job! As a newer resident of Anacortes, I have been looking for a great nail place since the COVID 19 restrictions were lifted. I think I've found my happy place! I was able to schedule a pedicure and gel manicure for today and enjoyed every minute. From the massage chair, to the careful work on my feet and beautiful polish, I was sold. Then on to a gel manicure-it was all professional. I needed help with a problem nail, and the manicurist was able to provide a solution and helped me confirm just the right polish choice. I called on Monday for a manicure and was scheduled for Thursday, same week. I am told after check in that I scheduled a mani-pedi. I told the owner that I scheduled a manicure only and she shamed me in front of other customers into getting a mani-pedi. Then at check out, she wouldn't let me schedule another appointment. I used to come to this salon but a year ago, I had the same interaction with the owner. So, I stopped getting services. I thought I'd try again, but same treatment. I texted my friend who uses their services, she said the owner up-sells customers all the time and shames them when they try to explain they didn't schedule the service in question. Walked in, was seen immediately, and walked out with spectacular nails. Service was very prompt and friendly, and, most importantly, the place was very clean. It's in an older building, but the tools, chairs, tables, etc, were clearly cared for and sanitized. I paid $22 for a gel polish change/manicure. Perfection every single time I've been here. After trying every nail place in Oak Harbor, and being very disappointed, I decided to make the drive up to Anacortes to try Washington nails. Worth it! Amy is a perfectionist, and my nails stay chip-free and nice for weeks. I visit every four weeks only because they start to grow too long. Don does a great pedicure also, and I never feel rushed or unwelcome. There are only three people working there, so an appointment is necessary, but that's okay - can I say it again that they're worth it?! read more

Service was great and price was also very good but I had a pedicure and the tools they used weren't in a sterile pack like most pedicure places. I'm not saying they weren't sterilized - they very well could have been sterilized in a solution - I just don't know that for certain, as I didn't see it, and therefore wouldn't be too quick to recommend. Updating: I actually think I got a toe nail fungus from either this place or American Nails also in Anacortes; it's that or they severely scratched my nails because there's white lines all throughout them now. I have to grow them out completely for them to "heal". Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a good place to go here. read more

They were not helpful at all. I went in with my wife who was looking to see if they had an opening the same day. We stood there for a while before we were acknowledged. When someone finally said something they made no effort to help. She just said no we don't have any opening and didn't ask if we wanted to make an appointment or if they only take appointments. There was no actual effort to help us get done what we were looking to do. read more

I had a $200 gift certificate for Washington Nails that was purchased from the previous owner. The new owners would not honor it. In fact, Amy laughed at me when I asked. With the previous owners, I could walk in to get my nails done without an appointment anytime. That's not the case anymore. I will never come here again. read more

I went to this location despite the bad review. I found it to be quite the opposite. I am very hard on my nails and they charge a reasonable price for breaks or fills. The hard part is getting in as a walk in. I would suggest you make an appointment for full sets and fills. If you are going to walking anytime after 1 pm it is calm until 3 pm. I would not suggest this place for someone who wants acrylics. I'll give it to them that the guy who does it is nice and usually makes them look awesome. But, yesterday when I went to get my nails done, he filed my nails really hard. I bled a little on my pinky and I have 3 friction burns; 1 on my middle finger and 2 on my ring finger. To top that all off, the guy didn't even do the shape of the nails I wanted. Other than that they're very sanitary and thoroughly clean all of their brushes with sanitizer, soap, and water. So first off I walk in and then an old lady comes in like 5 mins behind me and they let her cut me so I waited for awhile and then I said I was just going to go but they stopped me and the lady went to talk to someone in the back and a 6 year old comes out and tries to do my pedicure I was pissed. The first clue that this won't be a good experience is when the man doing your pedicure has nasty looking nails. Then he goes off to read and forgets about you, and you are falling asleep in the chair waiting to get finished. Then after leaving your sandals on 24 hours. the polish is still thick and smudgy, and when you put on your dress shoes the polish gets squished. Did they not put on a sealer? But, worst of all, is getting a case of athletes foot fungus shortly afterward. (which I have not had in 20+ years). Never ever again. read more

I went to this place on a Whym. Turns out, they are super friendly and they actually talk TO YOU and not amungst themselves like most nail salons. I always think thier talking bad about me since I can't understand them. lol. They did a great job and no complaints.
