However the last two times ( one just moments ago) I was waited on by the most unprofessional girl. She was nasty and loud and outbid control. I had dropped a sweater off about ten days ago that was hung on a wire hanger and stretched to the point of being completely Mis -shapen at both shoulders. I wasn't upset, just asked for it ti be redone and put on a hanger so the bumps would go away. That was my first experience with her. She pummeled me with accusations like how does she know I didn't put it in the hanger like that, why did I wait a week ( it was a holiday and they were closed and I worked so I could get there in a day or two) why wouldn't I just try wearing it ( it's summer, for one, that wouldn't fix it, for another) did I even request it not to be hung ( of course not, any fine gauge cashmere or nice knit would normally never be hung) and on and in. I said... can you let me speak ? I am not upset, I just want it fixed. She replied there would be no promises made and I could check back after Thursday. Then today at pick up... she was actually nasty. She said I was not being reasonable and nobody cares if sweaters are hung like that, and I asked her why she was so upset about my sweater and me wanting it fixed. She ranted and insulted. I honestly cannot believe the way she spoke to me. The story goes on and on, but she would let me speak and was so unreasonable I just had to leave shaking my head wondering what the heck !?!?!

I politely informed them of the missing tie (only hoping to leave my phone number in case they found it) to which she responded "No, he checks twice to make sure everything is there." Clearly, she felt I was lying about the missing item. I insisted she please take my name and number in case they find the tie but doubt I will ever hear back. The customer behind me stated "wow, she was really nasty to you." She was hands down the most hateful person I've had to deal with in a long time.

Immediately (within 10 minutes) went back to cleaners and showed them the purple splotches. They sent the clothes back out for re-clean. Came back a week later and was told they sent them out for re-clean a second time. Came back a week later and was told the pants had purple splotches on them when I gave them to the cleaners (not true). Asked for the owners phone number; he doesn't ever pick up and doesn't have voice mail or other answering service so I cannot leave a message. Upon research, the owner has other dry cleaning facilities in the city with a BBB rating of F. I now am left paying $50 for my clothes to be ruined.

A few years ago, I took a wool sweater here that had rivets along the neckline. Upon picking up the item, I contacted Rockwood to let them know that many of the rivets were missing. They found the rivets in their machine, requested I bring the item back & they'd repair it. All worked out well, other than I had to drive back and forth from Dublin. The least they could've done was refund the dry-cleaning expense for this garment due to the inconvenience. I gave them another shot this past fall with 2 wool blankets from Pendleton. Unfortunately, the leather Pendleton patch on one of the blankets was completely damaged after taking it to Rockwood. When I notified them, I was told that it was likely a Pendleton quality issue as they clean many wool blankets from that brand & have never had an issue. I was also told that the cleaner responsible for this particular blanket would have brought the damage to management's attention. Ultimately, I was told to reach out to Pendleton and see if they could send me a replacement patch (which the company does not do, understandably so.) Long story, short - I was disappointed by the lack of accountability from this business. Mistakes happen, but I've learned my lesson here. I've since found an alternate dry cleaner to use.

As evidenced in my photos, they do provide reselling services and corking services for Birkenstocks. You walk in and the place is full of stuff; People's boots, purses, luggage, leather briefcases, leather jackets, and much much more. I had a simple problem. I needed a pair of boots stretched. I have large feet. Sasquatch like. I brought in my Ariats that have been sitting in my closet for 3 years now. The owner is behind a counter piled up with jobs he is working on and equipment he uses to do his craft. He is brusque. "$45. 2 weeks" I think at first "That's a lot to stretch some boots" I go back. He says, brusquely "If they are still tight tell me where, toes, ankles, shaft/calves? I will stretch again" I tell him that I am leaving for work and that I am a flight attendant and I won't be back in town for a month, can I try them when I get back and let him know? He looks at me and nods. I finally get home and try the boots they fit great. So in this crazy economy is $45 a lot of money? To me it is, but to pay a craftsman for a craft that will soon be hard to find, it is well worth it. Bottom Line: my expensive boots have finally made it out of the closet thanks to Dr. Shoe! Extra points for honesty - I went in the other day with a large cheap piece of luggage that had the zipper broken on an outer pocket. He said it will cost you double the cost of a new suitcase to repair that because it would have to be done all by hand and I would have to charge for my time. Thank you!
