Pretty upset leaving this establishment. They have an insanely ridiculous policy that you can only use a coupon if you give it to them when you drop off the garments. How is a customer supposed to know that? There's no mention of this policy anywhere. Not listed on the coupon or in the email delivering the coupon. Customer service was friendly, however the price list they handed me, versus what they charged me was outrageous. First red flag was that there is no pricing available online. Looks like these are all franchised. I was charged $6.19 for a removable collar to my jacket. See photo. We have had consistently poor service from this dry cleaners. See photos associated with this review for the most recent example -- triple creases on a pant leg. I have had white Brooks Brothers shirts returned to me yellow -- especially on the back of the shirt. And sometimes they return with a dirty clothes smell. We have never been able to negotiate a "redo" for these things and the owner does not seem amenable to feedback. This location is convenient which keeps me going back in some situations, like quick turnaround needs. My advice is to accept the prospect of mediocrity if you use them this location. read more

So I brought in a black maxi dress that's machine washable with absolutely no adornment... only plastic buttons down the front and when I picked up, they classified it as a"formal" dress and charged a whopping $32! Ridiculous that was never mentioned at drop off. I literally live within walking distance, but will not be returning. read more

I will never trust them with anything I own ever again. I sent several white cotton table cloths to be cleaned and pressed. Upon their return, one had a stain on it. It was never pointed out to me. When calling and talking to the owner, he said they can't possibly check over every single item that comes in due to the high volume of things that come through their doors. No apology, no offer to reclean the item. Nothing. Then I send over a pair of dress slacks. Upon return of the slacks, I find that the lining is completely melted through in several places causing tears and holes. I was mortified. Once again, I called and talked to the owner. After blaming me for the damage he proceeded to tell me that they carefully go over every item that comes through their doors and there is no way those slacks were damaged at his cleaning facility. I would have expected to receive at least some kind of compensation for the damage such as on offer to replace the lining. Nothing of that kind was offered and when I requested to have the lining replaced at his cost, he refused. He didn't even offer to reimburse me for the cost of the services I paid for that produced the damage. Regardless of how convenient this dry cleaner may be for you, I highly suggest finding a dry cleaner that is honest and does the quality of work expected. read more

So I go in to this horrible establishment, and I see this wonderful girl paying her way through high school texting away while I'm waiting to be served. I drop off my clothes simple as that. As I come back eager to see what work they did. I find my clothes in better-than when I brought them in, but worse than normal. My pants were stretched and I'm pretty sure a sweaty sumo wrestler say on them for 3 hours. The owner, manager, sweat shop owner, dry cleaner warlord or whatever thought the fabric was defective and insulted my intelligence, complete dick-move. Stay away from this place. I am only giving one star because I cannot give zero. I am beyond pissed right now, this location of Martinizing is HORRIBLE! I'm posting this review after my wife drove 30 minutes back home FURIOUS from the store, after the time they are SUPPOSED TO CLOSE - 7pm. She talked to the female working, at 6:51, letting her know that she was rushing there and our GPS said 6:59 for an arrival - and she said OK. At 6:59 according to her phone, she is standing, staring at a dark locked store front with all of the lights off. A gentleman with a cigar in his hand in the parking lot says, "I don't know where she went, I just picked mine up." MY WIFE SAID, "I JUST TALKED TO HER!! She literally had to have turned the lights off and ran to the back hiding, FULLY KNOWING THAT I WAS COMING!!!!!" Never, ever, ever getting a penny of our again. EVER!! read more

I could detail the terrible customer service and mistreatment I just suffered at the hands of the owner/manager, the peak of which was when he stated "I'm going to have your damaged pants sent to an independent analysis lab" to prove that my brand new, never before washed virgin wool designer pants were ruined for manufacturer error instead of service error. "And then you'll feel bad." All at his cost of course, instead of just cutting me a check for two new pairs of pants and resolving the issue today. Super helpful and great customer service. I went to Swann the day before to have a dress pressed - on their site it explained anything brought in before noon could be picked up by EOD, if needed. I go in and they tell me I could have the dress back 4 days later. I went here the next morning and the took care of it on the spot and it was less than half of what Swann cost. I read the prior reviews and saw the issues with coupons. My wife dropped off one of my suits to be cleaned today and I printed a $10 off coupon for new customers with the only limitation that it be presented at drop off. The owner told my wife that coupon can not be used with same day service. This coupon was specifically for this location as well. My wife asked how she would use it later as she would no longer be a new customer. He said not to worry about it and he would accept it. When she picked them up another employee said that they normally do accept that coupon for same day service, but now could not as it has to be applied at drop off per the note on the coupon. I don't believe we will be returning again to see if we will still get the new customer coupon. read more

We have had only the best service. We take our Pottery Barn slipcovers here and they do an amazing job. I took a comforter to them and I was afraid it would be a problem, because the filling felt lumpy and sure enough it balled up. The owner had his seamstress sew in a brand new filling. About a month ago I took a suede jacket to this location to be cleaned. When I picked it up, the buttons on the shoulders were damaged. One button was missing and another button was literally hanging on by a thread. Of course I was upset and I wrote a review. A day or so later the owner/manager called to apologize and agreed to replace the buttons at no charge. So, I went back and dropped the jacket off in which the owner/manager was in the store that day and he said they would take care of it. So today I go to pick up the jacket and they tried to charge me for cleaning it which baffled me. I immediately told the staff that I was not to be charged for replacing the buttons. So I decided to take the plastic off the jacket to see if the buttons had been replaced and now both buttons were missing and the cleaning ticket did not indicate they were to replace the buttons. The staff then tells me to wait while she goes to get paper to write down what I stated. She wrote down what was supposed to be done (replace the buttons) and said she would give it to the manager. I'll be curious to hear what he has to say. Obviously I am very disappointed with the service and probably will not return once I get my jacket repaired. read more

Very poor customer service! When I dropped off my items I submitted an entertainment book coupon for 50% off as the sign said coupons are only accepted at time of drop off. The cashier asked if I wanted to use my VIP discount but I said no I'd rather use the 50% coupon since you can only use one or the other. The cashier said ok. When I went to pick up my items they charged my credit card and added the VIP discount. She said there was no coupon to be found. She said she couldn't refund my money or apply the 50% discount because only her boss could do that and she said that he was on vacation. She offered to call him and she did only for him to say that the 50% coupon was only for Pick up and delivery. However, the entertainment coupon was not for pick up or delivery but was for regular service. The cashier said she would leave a note for the owner to call me when he gets back from vacation and took my number down. Good customer a service would have entailed the owner ensuring that this customer walked out of his business satisfied and honored the 50% discount. Even if the coupon was for pick up and delivery only that should have been brought to my attention at the time of drop off and before the service was provided to allow me to decide if I wanted to proceed with the service versus find another business. However since the coupon was for regular service the 50% discount should have been honored. Additionally, when inspecting a garment before I left, I noticed that a worker had created a snag in the front of my merino wool sweater. The cashier said she would keep the sweater and see if someone could fix it. We'll see what happens. If it cannot be fixed then I would expect the business to replace the value of the garment. As of now I have no plans to return to this business in the future and I would recommend you find another cleaners with better service. An update: After about 2 weeks and no return call regarding my sweater I called back and spoke with the owner. I told him how unhappy I was with the service and the fact that my sweater was ruined. He danced around an apology but finally agreed to reimburse me the cost of the sweater. After telling him the cost he tried to avoid paying saying I didn't have a receipt. I pushed forward and he finally said he would send me a check. A check for the appropriate amount finally arrived in the mail 2 weeks later. This was a fiasco. I give them credit for finally reimbursing me for the damaged garment, but the owner acted very shady in trying to hide the damage initially and being resistant to correcting the situation appropriately in order to keep me as a customer. I have a customer at Martinizing dry-cleaning in Albany for over 10 years now. I to tell you how well I was treated by the owner by the way is on site on a daily basis! I came late in one morning needing some clothes for a meeting. They were not cleaning clothes and more than however they ran a special load for me so I can make it to my business meeting looking good because it was an important meeting I have spilled coffee on the shirts I was going to wear!
