She is incredibly efficient, ensuring the appointment was thorough without any unnecessary waiting. What truly stands out, however, is her kindness. Dr. Kim took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly, making me feel completely at ease. Unhelpful. He works with the Costco HB optics dept., but is of no help. He just shuffles your call to the Costco desk which no one answers. Seems he could care less in trying to offer assistance. read more

Great follow up to a concern I had. Dr.Doll addressed the concern immediately. My whole family sees him. I highly recommend him.

If I could give this office 10 stars I would. The office staff is great, I needed to be seen as quick as possible and was able to be booked within the week. Dr. Kim is amazing, so personable and makes you feel welcome. I've had past experiences with other offices where the doctor made me feel uncomfortable with how my prescription was changing, so I was a bit anxious coming in. Dr. Kim is so kind, she made the whole process so easy while being very thorough. The appointment did not feel rushed whatsoever. I also had the pleasure to meet Dr. Doll and he is just as kind. Definitely worth the hour drive that day. read more

I had such a great experience with Dr. Kim at Dr. Doll's office inside the Huntington Beach Costco! I've always had a hard time finding contact lenses that feel truly comfortable, most either irritated my eyes or just didn't feel quite right. Dr. Kim was incredibly patient and helpful, letting me try out several different brands and types until we found the perfect match. It's honestly the first time in years I've worn contacts that feel like they actually fit my eyes. What really impressed me was how thorough she is. She's the only optometrist who has ever tested me for color deficiency, something no one had ever brought up before. It was eye-opening, and just shows how much she truly cares about giving her patients a complete and personalized exam. On top of being knowledgeable and professional, Dr. Kim is also just a genuinely fun and friendly person to be around. She has a great sense of humor that instantly put me at ease and made the appointment feel relaxed and comfortable from start to finish. The entire staff at Dr. Doll's office was also fantastic! Super welcoming, organized, and kind. They kept everything running smoothly and made the whole visit a breeze. Props to Ethan and Jaquelyn for being fast and professional. If you're in the Huntington Beach area and need an optometrist who's thorough, patient, and just awesome to talk to, I highly recommend Dr. Kim. I'll definitely be back for all my future eye care needs! read more

Yearly eye exam for glasses. In Costco. Do not need to be a member to get the eye exam. But you do need to be a member to buy the glasses. Dr. Doll is friendly, professional, and listens to any concerns or problems that I'm having with my eyes or glasses. Appointments are quick to get. Office is a little bit small, especially if he is busy. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends. read more

Excellent Experience Highly Recommend Dr.Julie Kim is the best. Hands down. Dr. Doll is lucky to have her on his staff.... and Costco to have her serve its customers. She's professional, highly knowledgeable, skilled, inquisitive when it comes to her patients' care by asking questions, and actively listening, to understand and know her patients' needs and current situation(s). Dr. Kim is extremely patient, direct (in a nice way), keeps the visit simple and productive. She goes above and beyond when serving and putting the patient first; She's likes what she does and it shows. Bravo! Great experience, I'll be back. Janyne Truong is an excellent and up and coming OD. Her desire to serve all her clients, shows. She filled my prescription perfectly - asking what is wanted, how I wanted the RX filled, shared pros and cons, and made recommendations based on benefiting me and my needs vs "paying for what you don't need, don't really need, doesn't apply." When i came in to pick up the RX she patiently fitted the frames to me and my crooked head!! Made sure my RX was sharp, explained the process if I had any issues with the RX or frames. Her interest in pursuing this profession shows via her positive, determined and energetic demeanor. Excellent customer service. Great experience, I'll be back. read more

Recently visited the office to get a contact lens exam with Dr. Kim, and still very much recommend this place! I visit from LA county so it's quite a drive for me, but I'd do it just to have the great customer service they provide. I even got my mom and sister to switch optometrists because of how thorough and patient Dr. Kim is. She is the absolute best! Seriously come and check it out for yourself! They also renovated the office since 2020 so the pretests (tests that blow air in your eyes and hot air balloon visual lol) is done in a more private area of the space. It's a way better layout than they had before. read more

Dr. Doll is simply the best! we have been under his care for more than a decade. My whole family goes to him and trusts him with vision care. He helped my 5 years old ( who passed all the preliminary vision charts at the pediatrician ) and he referred us to pediatric vision care for more services despite of that I keep bringing my son to dr. Doll because of his experience and excellence. I like that he is a straightforward doctor and he has state-of-the-art machines that help with diagnosis. M 5 years old is 14 now and he just had his first pair of contact lenses! read more

Dr. Kim is Amazing!! She verified my prescription glasses and sunglasses made by the Costco Laboratory was indeed inaccurate in their precise composition of my lenses. Dr. Kim and I walked over to the optical department in Costco and reconfirmed with Katie the Manager on Duty. Katie said we keyed in all the Data correctly but the Laboratory made the mistake during the lenses prescription processing of the products ordered. What a relief to know that I didn't imagine all this. The wrong lenses prescription gave me a major headache and I had to revert back to my old glasses as a backup plan. Costco Team member Sonia said you can pickup next week. I will definitely come back next week to verify that everything is in good working order. The staff at this location is amazing !! I was not charged today. Thank you Dr. Kim and your Amazing staff. read more

This eye crnter is located within Costco at the Bella Terra. The eye center is considered full service. You can also pick out the frames from the frame center. The place is small, but clean and modern. We were able to make an appointment the same day. They are quick and thorough. They are open 7 days a week. This was the first visit and we were pleased. They take cash and all 4 credit cards. No checks. They take some insurance plans, but not all. read more

I was thrilled to get in today, in the midst of the pandemic, to see Dr. Julie Kim, the other eye doctor in this practice. This is my second visit, the first being an exam appointment that turned into a medical issue, and both have been excellent all the way around. The front of house tech team does a great job, polite, friendly and good at their jobs. AndDr. Kim's comprehensive exam is not rushed, and she takes the time to answer any questions and ty really explain what's going on. I've been to 3 different eye doctors over the last several years looking for one I liked -- after 40+ years of eye exams, I know a good doctor from a bad one -- and I think I've finally found one worth going back to. read more
