I haven't been to an optometrist since middle school but recently got VSP insurance through my organization. Thought my vision was pretty good so never really needed to get it checked out until the past couple years where I've noticed it's been hard focusing on text on the computer screen during work - so booked an appointment here to finally see what's going on. Dr. Vu was absolutely delightful! He was really friendly and made me feel comfortable as a patient (have healthcare anxiety). He explained everything in a way I could understand and answered all of the questions I had. Ended up getting glasses which was what I wanted. My vision is pretty good to get by most of the time but for those times I just want to see clearly I can put them on. Amanda (one of the front office peeps) was super awesome with scheduling the appointment and helping me pick out frames. She was very patient with me going through two dozen different frames haha. Walked in because I ama VSP memeber on a Sat afternoon. Two girls at the front. One asked if I had appt. I said no because I just wanted to look at glasses as I already had an appt. This girl totally gave off a snobby bitchy vibe like u dont belong here. Like my money wasnt good enough because I didnt get my prescription here. Anyways, the other girl was nice, but it felt like a pushy sell. I will go else where with my business. read more

I have seen Dr. Vu for years now. I have preferred to under-correct my prescription due to a history of my glasses being uncomfortable--something about vision being too clear and headaches from wearing them too long. He has always worked with me through what is best for my vision. He is very thorough in explaining everything so his patients understand just what the tests are and what we are looking at for eye health. You can tell he is sincere in his recommendations. The office team never disappoints me--even when there are new additions to the staff. Everyone here is polite and professional. My only complaint would be the selection of eyewear--in all these years, I have yet to find a pair from the office that I liked or is suited for my face. Wish there were more selections or selections suited for low nose bridges. This was also my first year paying fully out of pocket, so a little shocked at how expensive eye exams could cost. But with the amount of care the doctor and staff put into the services, I suppose it's ok! read more

this has been the worst experience I have ever had when getting glasses first off it took 7 weeks to get my glasses the first time, I received my glasses and as soon as I put them on I knew they were not a good prescription and told the person fitting them and received an attitude as if I was the problem I explained that is was a coke bottle effect and the bifocal line was way too low and was told that's where I requested the line to be ok!!! wore them for a week and made a new appointment dropped off my glasses now going on three weeks called and asked for the status of my glasses was told there were out for rework called back over a week later then was told they never sent them out because I needed to see the doctor again I was never informed of this finally seen the doctor again he gave me some nonsense the lenses where to big he redone my prescription sent them out finally received them same lenses and frames and they worked bottom line it took almost eight weeks and felt as if I was using medical I was not being treated well PRETTY PISSED OFF !!! read more

Dr. Tony Vu is amazing! He took his time listening to my concerns and was so thorough, using the latest technology. Turns out my pain was a scratched cornea. Dr. Tony Vu has also been taking care monitoring my husbands eyes for glaucoma (runs in his family). The staff are so friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. I really miss Dr. Koyama. He was fabulous, and did whatever it took to fix things, without wanting to continue charging you, his patient. Today was so frustrating. Dr. Do has had trouble with my progressive prescription. I understand that sometimes it can be challenging. Today, I was made to feel like I was a problem and an inconvenience, even though this is their specialty. Their optician was very unkind as well. You want me to pay extra, when it's your mistake? It was just unbelievable. I've never left an eye appointment in tears like I did today. read more

Dr. Do was my first optometrist back when I first needed glasses and she was working at LensCrafters in Tustin, a 5 min drive from my house. She made the experience easy and was so helpful and patient and explained everything to me even with all my questions. When she moved to Fountain Valley at Eye Wellness Optometry, it was an easy decision to move/stay with her even though now it is a 30 min commute to that office. She is that good!!! I had been seeing Dr. Koyama since I was in my early twenties. He definitely earned his retirement. My first appointment since his leaving was Friday with Dr. Do. It was wonderful.
