We made our…read moreappointments about a week beforehand, and when we arrived, Dr. Lauren Truong and Christina greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome. They also took us right on time for our scheduled appointment, which we really appreciated. Dr. Truong was very professional yet personable and friendly. She was extremely thorough with both my wife's and my eye exams and took the time to explain everything to us instead of making us feel rushed. She answered all of our questions and made sure we understood what she was seeing with our eyes and vision. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and wants to make sure they are comfortable and well taken care of. We both felt like we received a very comprehensive eye exam. As for Lucas and Christina, they were an absolute pleasure to work with! Lucas was very nice and incredibly helpful with my wife's current glasses. She had been having problems with them constantly sliding down, and he spent quite a bit of time adjusting them for her. He was super patient and made sure she was happy with the fit. Then Lucas looked at my glasses and apparently has Superman vision because he immediately noticed that my black frames had a crack in them. Yes, I sat on them. LOL. I thought I could fix them myself, but apparently not! I ended up deciding to get new frames, which leads me to Christina... Christina was awesome! She helped me with my new frames and was very patient while I was deciding. What I really appreciated was that there was absolutely no pressure or upselling. In fact, she really took care of me when it came to the cost of my frames, which I greatly appreciated. I also needed itemized receipts for my FSA submission, and Christina didn't hesitate to redo them for me so they were clear and legible. It's little things like that which really stand out when it comes to customer service. Both Lucas and Christina also have a great sense of humor! My wife's appointment ended up being pretty long, so we had plenty of time to chat with everyone in between them helping other patients and taking care of all the other tasks they had to do. They were obviously busy and working, but they still took the time to be friendly and personable with us. Instead of feeling like we were just sitting around waiting, we actually enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was friendly, funny, personable, and easy to talk to. One other thing I want to mention about wait times because I think it's important. When a doctor is with a patient, sometimes an appointment is going to take longer than expected. That's normal. Personally, I'd rather have a doctor like Dr. Truong take her time with me and thoroughly answer my questions than rush me out the door just to stay on schedule. The doctor and staff work really hard to accommodate everyone, so if they're running a little behind, exercise a little patience and understanding. They're giving the patient in front of them the same attention that they'll give you when it's your turn. And if you're planning to walk in without an appointment, I definitely recommend making an appointment instead if you can. We made ours about a week ahead of time. Like almost any other business, scheduled appointments are going to take priority. Heck, look at Quest or Labcorp! Haha. An appointment can make a huge difference. What impressed us most about iStyle Optometry was how personal the entire experience felt. We never felt rushed, pressured to buy something, or like we were just the next appointment. Dr. Truong, Lucas, and Christina all took their time with us and genuinely made us feel welcome. For our first visit, they definitely made a great impression. She is always very informative and sensitive to all of my vision needs. I've gone through glasses, contacts, AND recently, I've gotten the Ortho-K lenses through her. I have always struggled with my vision since back in 7th grade. My vision has gotten worse and worse over there years, like it usually does, but Dr. Lim has always been there to help me through everything. I had my glasses phase in middle school, my contacts phases through highschool, and even now with my new Ortho-K lenses. I had been wearing my glasses 24/7 since I graduated highschool, but my nearsidedness has just kept getting worse and worse. Dr. Lim noticed my vision problems and recommended Ortho-K to me early 2014, when I had gone for my annual visit. I was very wary of the idea of contacts you sleep in, but she wasn't pushy or tried to sell me anything. She let me get comfortable with the idea on my own terms. A year later, I've gotten them and I love it. I am not officially glasses and contacts free during the day! I still have to wear my Ortho-K lenses to sleep, but they've corrected my vision to nearly 20/20 so I don't have to wear anything throughout the day.If anyone is interested in the Ortho-K contact lense, inquire about the with Dr. Lim!
