This location is a HOT MESS. It looks as if it's a trillion years old from the inside. You walk in, and there was a guy opening the rope for me to walk thru (Im not sure if they were keeping a counter of how many people were inside). There are red signs everywhere for clearance. I was looking for accessories and I was told to go to the check out line. I found the accessories. But the area just looked too junky, too old and too much space for what they have. read more

This place is always extremely busy. Due to entitled customers, it's not uncommon to see clothes thrown all over the place. I'm sorry the employees have to deal with their abdicated basic responsibilities as human beings. I'd like to thank the friendly employees, as a good staff here. For a discounter they get you through the check out process fast. I was impressed yesterday, as thought this is going to take considerable time. The deals here aren't what they used to be. Corporate plus inflation are behind this. Yesterday the socks were a bargain, but didn't find anything else that stood out. Am looking for a heavier winter coat, and what they had wasn't a great selection. If you wait until after Christmas they will have exceptional deals on colognes and gifts. It's a decent store, and to their credit thermals are priced appropriately. read more

Some people go to therapy, I go to Marshalls. I wanted to take this time to give a special thank you to the staff at Marshalls for the countless hours of entertainment and sweet ass deals they have provided me during this pandemic. This store is always meticulously organized, with the most surprising finds and the best deals. It's quite busy but I'm guessing that means they are able to move merchandise faster which makes it a great repeat shopping experience overall. Sometimes I go in with no agenda at all but walk out with exactly what I need. Even more importantly, their childrens section is pretty large meaning I've been finding some real gems to entertain my three year old while she is stuck at home with me this year. Their educational toy game is tight and I've found so many toys to help support her in-home learning. I never knew how much I loved Marshalls until they shut down for a good 2-3 months. The staff? Lovely. The MANAGEMENT????? Abysmal. I'm confused why managers think because they make $4 more they're superior beings. You're really going to try and speak to your staff like trash in front of a customer and think no one will say anything? Disgraceful. You speak to your staff like HUMANS. They literally have no one here and the line is huge. Stuff everywhere is disorganized. Prices pretty good though and selection decent. Finally got some more people at the register as I'm writing this so giving it a two star now vs one. read more

This Marshalls is located right off of Leesburg Pike, in the Homegoods plaza, the adjacent plaza to TJ Maxx (turn into Marshall Drive). As other Marshalls, they carry men/women/children apparel, home decor, furniture, kitchen items, beauty section, shoes section, and kids. I like that their aisles are more roomier, and things are a bit more spread apart. I found their Clearance items to be a bit more of a variety and was able to find some cute planners, notepads, and handmade greeting cards! This place doesn't look like much to speak of from the outside, but don't let that fool you like it did me for far too long. I finally went in this past Christmas looking for last minute wrapping paper after I struck out at HomeGoods and Burlington, and omg I found wrapping paper galore--and SO MUCH more. The entire (very large) middle front section was devoted to Christmas gifts of all kinds. It was like a Sharper Image/Brookstone/cool toy store all in one. And the selection was impressive! I got so excited looking around and grabbing gifts I would never have found elsewhere that I almost didn't make it to the next section past it containing more wrapping paper and Christmas gear and homegoods and regular decor items before they announced closing time in 15 minutes. I scrambled to get the paper I needed and check out before they kicked me out, but there were tons of sections I missed and still need to explore when I decide I'm ready for a big shopping splurge. Wallet just isn't ready yet. So I can't give details on the rest of the store, but I can say that all the standard sections (clothing, shoes, bags, decor, linens, etc), are there and appear extremely large and well stocked. I saw several items in each area that I wanted if I had the time. This is my favorite Marshall's in the area. And I've been to just about every one. And at Christmas? So great. read more

Worst Return Experience Ever I went in on a Saturday to make a return, and when I got to the register, I was greeted by the store "Coordinator" and she refused to make my return claiming that "it didn't show up on the system" I insisted on the return because it didn't make sense, and she kept on telling me to leave and go to another Marshall's, she also kept laughing at while I spoke and accused me of lying. I spoke to the manager and he just told her to do the return, but she gave me terrible treatment and kept on laughing at me. read more

I was on my way to my physical therapy today. When I realized that I do not have my credit cards with me or my wallet. I thought I would be fine at Marshalls with my driver's license online with DMV and my check book with matching information. The manager didn't even come to the phone when I called to find out whether it would be okay or not. Then I get to the counter and for a lousy $8 he holds me up and will not even look at what information I have available which is everything that's on my driver's license record. Now I'm on my way to my physical therapy without the required clothing because they are afraid I'm ripping them off at this cheap store. I will never step foot in that awful store again. People in management needs to realize that sometimes the rules are to be broken nobody's going to rip them off with a check for $8 lousy dollars. read more

This myst be the bwst marshals in the area. They are so fully stocked. And the store is pretty clean too. There are about 12 registers but they're are not all staffed so on all the occasions I have been there the wait time is very long. You can't get in and out of the store quickly so plan for that. Also the parking lot blows. read more

Nice for a Marshall's with a great, well-organized shoe selection and a robust home (bath, bed & kitchen) section. The newer merchandise is displayed in a well-ordered manner at the front of the store, but Ike most places of this ilk, you have to dig through the racks to find a bargain. Still, there are many bargains to be had if you're willing to put in the effort. The lines can be long, but there are multiple registers and it usually moves along quite quickly. There is a single station devoted exclusively to returns, so waiting is minimalized. read more

The location and size of this marshalls are great as is their selection of shoes, clothes and accessories - so that hits virtually all of the buttons on my marshalls list :) Of course the quality of marshalls finds varies greatly from day to day so it's impossible to base a review solely on one excursion. I've been to this particular location on numerous occasions and usually find some pretty great stuff. Not as great as some other locations, but definitely better than most. Parking is easy and if you're in the market for home furnishings, not only does this store have a nice selection, but there's a home goods next door and a t j maxx in the strip mall right below. Also, if all of this shopping make you hungry, the charcoal chicken place at the entrance of this strip is pretty damn tasty! read more

I went to this Marshalls to pick up some kitchenware for my house. It was great - they have a huge selection at cheap prices. I was able to pick up some Wolfgang Puck pots & pans, cook/bake ware, GREAT knives, and serving dishes. They have plenty of kitchen things in cute designs and a wide variety. The place was packed while we were there, and the line was really long, but fortunately we didn't wait long because they had tons of people manning the check-outs. If you're hungry after shopping, try the Afghan kebab place next door. :) read more

Let me start by saying that Marshalls is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE stores!!!!!!! The first thing to point out is that this store closes at 10pm. I am not sure if that's daily(including Sunday's), but I was there yesterday(1.27.2012 - Friday) and the joint closed at 10pm. I thought I was special - when the attendant let me in the dressing room so close to 9:30 pm. I am special, but just not to Marshalls. This location tends to always be crowded, but the cashiers try to get you in/out. Because I shop here(Marshall's in general) - I consistently have a return. This location didn't have a separate line for returns. Thus, upon entering the store and seeing that + the long lines - I was FORCED to browse :). The clearance - ALWAYS my first stop- was well stocked and neat. This location carry's a lot of my favorites - including Theory(fist pump). The workers could be visibly seen putting stuff back from the dressing room and straightening up constantly. When I finally made it to the register, the cashier did my return and purchase in a jiffy. I was doubly happy because I got cash back - found some cheaper items.! read more

The best. Simply the BEST Marshalls I have ever been to. If you know me, you know I love a discount. One thing I love more than a discount is a clearance rack. This review is loooong overdue but it does not matter. Every time I visit a city, move to a new location or wander around aimlessly I am always looking for a Marshalls. Not a TJ Maxx or a Ross but Marshalls. This Marshalls is one of the largest and has the best selection of shoes, clothes and housewares. My co-workers and I used to shop here during our lunch break every day from 2003 to 2010. Back before Tysons Corner turned into...well, whatever it is now. But I digress. This Marshalls is the best and any person who loves the TJX Companies knows this is the best in the area. Definitely one of the best on the East Coast. I wish I could give this location 10 stars. If you read my reviews of other Marshalls I always compare it to this one. This is the standard. Too bad I don't have a car. But good thing the metro will be open this year. About to crush this place. Run, don't walk to this place. Just be for-warned - holiday traffic in Tysons Corner is a beast. read more

This is a pretty decent Marshalls and it definitely has a leg up on the TJ Maxx in the next shopping center. It has a better selection and you can find really great stuff. For men, it is always hard shopping at a place like Marshalls if you aren't looking for athletic wear or over-sized dress clothes. However, on my latest trip on this Marshall, I found Rag and Bone clothing and in my size. Unfortunately, it was still quite expensive. Also, there is no line just for returns, which is rather rare for a store like this. Generally, there will a line specifically for returns so you don't have to wait in a long line and you can be in and out of the store. read more

I do consider myself a TJX shopper. There are a few criteria, however, to achieve this level of expertise. First, you should know how much something cost before you pick it up. You professionals know what I mean. Second, you need to know what two colors can be found on the hanger of your particular size; shoppers strategically hide things that they plan to come back later to retrieve. And finally, you need to overlook the disaster area that many Marshall's and TJ Maxxes will bring you. This store must have hundreds of shoppers a day because at 7 pm, it was trashed - shoes were everywhere, jeans were hanging over the racks and not on them. It felt like this place had not been straighten-up in days. This Marshall's, I hope, has a third shift just to stay ahead of the shoppers and their zest for discounted goods. The mess didn't bother me that much. Again, if you are a real TJX shopper and have the patience, you can go through this store in less than 20 minutes. Not sure you can get out of those massive checkout lines as quickly though. read more

As far as Marshall's go, this one is the best I've been to. It is always very clean and organized. They have a great selection of designer brands and the racks are always overflowing with choices. You won't find a junky selection at this location. I am most impressed by the wide selection of designer brands at every price point on the spectrum. A little Background: I never get a great buy at Marchalls, TJmax, Burlington and etc. So when it comes to these stores I have to be dragged in forcefully (which my cousin did for me this past weekend). I am so GLAD she coaxes me into walking into this GEM. This store was different from the others, it was organize, clean and had quick short lines PLUS a great selections of work pants (I was short on time and I needed work pants so I focus solely on that section) I purchase a pair of straight fitted leg dress pants for under $25.00 each! SCORE! These pants fit so good, it looks like they were tailored. I am so happy with my purchase and my experience was not torturous. I would definitely go again when I am in the area. :) read more

Probably the worst Marshall's I have been too. Things were very disorganized and seemed very picked over. The public restrooms were the nasty and could be compared to a dirty gas station bathroom. The store is fine, but I won't be going there again. I have never seen such poor behavior from a retail manager as I witnessed tonight, and I don't patronize businesses that treat their employees badly. I had to ask about a price on an item that was missing a price tag. The woman helping me was so very nice and helpful, but she needed to ask her supervisor how to handle the matter. I followed her to talk to Talat, the supervisor, who was so rude and disrespectful to her employee that I was literally stunned. The poor woman helping me said, "Excuse me," at which point she was greeted by Talat literally throwing down the merchandise she was holding in a big huff. The exchange was amazing -- I have never seen a retail supervisor be so rude and disrespectful of an employee -- and to do it in front of a customer (me) was unbelievable. Talat's response was so wildly inappropriate that I would not have blamed this poor worker had she left and never returned. I thanked the young lady for her assistance and let Talat calm down for a while, during which time I asked another employee for her name. I then went to talk to her about it. The minute I asked if I could speak with her, she again threw something down in a huff. I told her I'd come to talk to her about her conduct, but I'd had enough of her "service." I've reported her conduct to Marshall's corporate customer service department and will wait to see what, if anything, they do about the matter. I have been a good customer of this Marshall's, but I don't give my business to any store that treats their employees so badly. I wish I could give "zero" stars based on this horrible woman's behavior. read more

I went to make a return for some towels I purchased that didn't work. The receipt was not where I left it but they returned anyways, but handed me a store credit. I was unaware that this was what they were doing or I would have waited altogether- I wanted the charge back on my card. Instead I asked if I could pull it up on my credit card statement and if I could speak to the manager. He came over and was extremely smug, made me feel like an idiot, unapologetically. Was not willing to work with me in any way. I will never shop at a Marshall's again. All over $45.... hope it was worth it. read more

Absolutely never going back. The staff was so unfriendly and rude to the customers. The place was a mess and nothing was in order. The staff where the changing rooms had so much attitude and I went to complain and she did nothing or even apologized. The lady working in the changing room section was mad at a lady who wanted to keep her autistic kid with her in the changing room, the lady refused her request and the kid was upset to be away from her mom. Never ever ever going back. I used to like going but this new staff is so horrible it's despicable. read more

Marshalls varies from location to location. The stores focus on the demographic of the surrounding community which drives the clothing and good selection. I recommend this particular Marshalls for having a good selection of suits for men, socks I like, shirts I like, etc. I've also looked at their housewares area and there have been definitely some things I'd consider adding to my own domain. read more

Love Marshalls and TJMaxx. It's hit or miss but you have to be willing to hunt. Special items get hidden by other shoppers and sizes are not as they are marked sometimes. If you're an in and out know what you want kind of shopper, go pay full retail at the mall. Otherwise be prepared to spend several hours checking tags and trying stuff on. read more
