I purchased a cologne from one location and needed to return it to a different location. I visited this location which was full of staff and every counter had someone available to help me but I was literally told to go to a different counter after speaking to about 3-4 people until someone told me to go upstairs into the men's section to make the return. I hope they create a better system for returns because I should have been directed to customer service or even just been assisted by anyone to make a return. Needless to say, I have been discouraged on making purchases from Macy's since their return process is so time consuming and difficult.

I picked the item up via curbside, but realized immediately it wasn't right and returned it to the store within minutes of it being brought to my car. While the necklace refund was processed, the jewelry department supervisor refused to refund the protection plan. She told me I had to call an "800 number" found in my email receipt to get my money back. I checked my email thoroughly; neither a company name nor a phone number was listed anywhere. After I insisted multiple times, she finally made a call and gave me a number for the insurance, but not yhr name of the company. When I called the company (Asurion) the next day, they informed me that they cannot process an immediate refund. Instead, I have to send an email request and wait for them to mail me a physical check. This is absolutely unacceptable. A warranty should be automatically cancelled and refunded the moment the product is returned to the store. Save yourself the headache and do not buy their protection plans online. Once they have your money, they make it as difficult as possible to get it back.

Trying to cool down and doing some window shopping. I remember JC Penney stores was my go-to place for fashion. Then, something happened... oh I remember now. They stopped sending me coupons. Today, there were only a few department stores left. Today, I went to revisit this so-called department store with a high expectation. One big problem I have with this JC Penney is the signage. I was clueless as where they put men's clothes. Unlike Macy's and other department stores, there are signs at the escalator as which floor sells what. But not this one. I walked all over the women's department and decided to try 2nd level. Bummer. Men's department only filled half of floor space. Not much to shop there, except the clearance aisles. After my initial navigation, I think I remember where is what on the 2nd level. I will return when I need something fancy.

I appreciate the help from security, but the mixed signals were frustrating. - my merchandise was nearly $300, I was asked by the cashier to help remove hangers from the clothing. While I understand the need to manage stock, this request felt audacious and inappropriate, especially given the volume I was purchasing. - The overall tone and demeanor of the cashier came across as unkind and the experience seemed hampered by being short-staffed. It gave the impression that assistance was treated as mandatory rather than optional or customer-service oriented. Even when I asked is this usual to have the customer take the hangers off. He said yes it's usual to ask. I said "I see" Impac: - I left feeling disappointed rather than satisfied with my purchases for my child.
