I have been to plenty of Macy establishments. I have also made multiple purchases and returns to Macy establishments but I have never been given the run around to make a simple return for men's cologne. I purchased a cologne from one location and needed to return it to a different location. I visited this location which was full of staff and every counter had someone available to help me but I was literally told to go to a different counter after speaking to about 3-4 people until someone told me to go upstairs into the men's section to make the return. I hope they create a better system for returns because I should have been directed to customer service or even just been assisted by anyone to make a return. Needless to say, I have been discouraged on making purchases from Macy's since their return process is so time consuming and difficult. read more

My husband bought me a bracelet for Christmas and it broke so he brought it back almost 3 months ago. He has been trying to call every day for the last 10 days to see if it's ready to be picked up because the note on the ticket says if you leave it there more than 60 days we will not have it for you. So they keep what you've already paid for. That's pretty unbelievable but anyway. No one ever answers the phone at the Sugar Land Texas Macy's at the town center mall . So we had to drive a half an hour to get there he went in and asked is it ready? They said no it is not ready. The service because they don't answer the phone ever after trying for 10 days no one answers the phone no one number doesn't even matter for Jewelery. Went in there a couple of weeks ago to men's section. The older gentleman there really needs to work on his customer service. He was very rude and not helpful at all. He couldn't really be bothered. I also saw him being rude to who appeared to be his supervisor as well when she was telling him to go to the fitting rooms. He refused blatantly. Long story short, I left, went to Dillard's and JC Penny but eventually settled on Men's Warehouse and spent my money in a store that earned it with excellent customer service to me. This Macy's is quite literally worse than shopping at a garage sale after a huge rush. All the time. No matter the time of day or day of the week. Clothes are everywhere - except where they belong with like items on their rack. On the floor, in the dressing room, piled up on huge racks by the dressing rooms or scattered around the store. Shoe department is messy as well with boxes piled up all over the place. And good luck getting someone to help you. Are people (customers) really that big of slobs (probably)? I've been a Macys customer for years for myself and for gifts. I tried to return some vacation outfits that did not work out. I kept a lot of things but some did not fit. I went on vacation and did not return right away. I was told I am not able to return anymore after 30 days. Apparently they change the procedure and I never heard anything about this. I have a Macys card and shop here often. The returned desk i told me that the return policy changed in March 2023 and that the policy was online! I clearly explained that I did not buy the items online and I have my receipts. Macy's has always had a 90 day return policy. I understand if they want to change it but they should definitely let the customers know in advance. I never saw any signage in the store or nor did I receive a notification with my credit card statement. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The only reason I shopped here last week was the Black Friday special. In the store, the specially priced items ended at 1 pm, so many customers were disappointed after finding out they missed the "great deals". As I was searching for some other specials online, I found out the Black Friday's web-busters sale ended Saturday. All the prices were the same. Why was I here again? Sigh... I think the store could have done a better job of managing the staff. I saw the "Black Friday Doorbuster" signs removed promptly after 1 pm. My line was moving slow because the cashier was overworked and possibly missed his break. He miscounted a shirt and had to retrieve it from a customer's bag after the transaction. I patiently waited 40 minutes just to get a pair of cheap boots. Poor guy, he had to explain the coupon policy to everyone. There are so many coupons from different sources. The store was packed with bargain hunters. For me, I can't endure on my feet for an hour. There isn't a chair in the store for me to sit. Oh wait. They do. I found the Furniture Department on second floor. But I didn't feel being welcomed. I walked up to enjoy looking at the displays. Two salesmen followed me like I was going to steal their sofa. Uhhhh... put it in my pocket? Never mind, I'll shop elsewhere without being watched like a hawk. I still have respect for Macy's as a semi high-end department store. But I'm not going to Macy's on Black Friday after this experience. As I logged online to see the Cyber Monday prices, I found this very pair of boots were cheaper. Mmm... I went to Sugarland Macys two days ago to return my boots that I ordered online. We have been standing in the line for 15 minute, after that when it was my turn to return the items, the associate who was there didn't know how to return and she wears hija. A manager Sarvi was standing there. When he saw that the associate was not able to do the return. Manager Sarvi told the associate I am going to take care of the items. After 2 minutes the manager Sarvi told us oh this register isn't working properly the system isn't working so I have to try on another register. Manager Sarvi said this thing to us then he went back to the customer service room and he never came back. During that time the associate was standing there who was helping us earlier. She was not able return, She tried to return from one register to the second register and from the second register to the third register but she couldn't do it.Then she went to the back room and she asked for help but no one came to help her. After that she gave the return items to someone else in the back room then after 30 minutes wait a associate came outside name is Charmaine with the boots and she told us that these times don't belong to Macys. Then she told us that you guys are trying to return the wrong items to Macys and you guys needs to send them to the address they came from. We won't return them for you. Then after that my brother showed her the online purchase receipt from his phone and even we showed her the items serial numbers as well and everything. My brother told the associate Charmaine nicely maam these times are the Macys items so we ordered 4 pairs and we are going to keep 2 pairs and other 2 we are going to return it. That associate spoke rudely to my brother and she wasn't not showing her interest at all to return our item. Then my brother said to hwe that please call the manager. He was here earlier who has a pony, he was helping us earlier and should return it, then she said no to us no he doesnt know how to do the return . He wouldn't help you guys, We told her more then four times to call the manager and he went to the back room and she ignored us And after listening to us, she left that place and started talking to someone else. It was very bad experience and this associate Charmaine doesn't know how to talk to customers. So rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I can't comment on how others have experienced at this location but I've had nothing but a good experience every time I come here because it's close to me and convenient. Here is why I like this place, the people are personable and sometime when I walk in they greet and have a conversation with us just catching up and not selling anything to us. There's a connection with the departments we go to. The staff has been nothing but friendly and very helpful, this is from shoes, kids, cosmetics, sunglasses hut, lens crafters, the service desk and change rooms. Grant it that the selection is not as great as memorial or the galleria as those locations are bigger but I like coming here. Also, here's a tip. If you're a platinum member, for some reason I get free starbucks drinks if you use the macy's app everyday. YES EVERYDAY! you get one coupon that expires on the day of but you get a new one the very next day for a any tall drink with no purchases necessary. check it out. read more

I've been so disappointed in this location the last few times I've visited. I do not like how they've shut many of the fitting rooms. I had to walk clear across the entire store to find one open, then had to wait in line to get an open fitting room. They've also done away with many check out stations within the departments. There are only ones near the exits now. Also, everything was in disarray and they no longer carry a favorite label of mine. Plus my last visit had 5 different sales people tell me all conflicting information on the sales specials currently occurring. No one had the right information and once I finally checked out, I still had the wrong info. The sales people were so unorganized and misinformed, if they even paid attention to me. I gave up. I'm so sad as macys used to be my favorite, but I do not foresee shopping there again any time soon, if ever. So disappointed. Dillards has won this customer. read more

Do I really need to hear stories from the cashier about some other lady's underwear? No. Do I need to be brought on a wild goose chase through racks and racks of women's clothing looking for a tank top that she knows isn't there? No. Do I need to wait in line for 20 minutes while the woman in front of me chats with the cashier and then returns 25 things? No. This place has some decent deals, especially during a sale. While standing in the first check out line, the lady in front of me had extra coupons and gave me one. It gave me 15% off of everything including things already on sale. That made my day. We ended up with some men's dockers for over 1/2 off. I did like that the men's department does have a couch and two chairs for people to sit on outside the changing rooms. It made waiting a lot more pleasant. After my husband was done trying things on, he went to the closest check out counter. He waited and then realized that he could be there all day. He wandered off and found a check out counter with no one waiting. When he came back to get me (I was comfy on the 'wife' couch), the line was still just as long as when he left. Some of the cashier people are extremely slow at this Macy's. I am baffled at their lack of speed. Parking is limited during peak times ever since the mall was extended into the parking lot. Park on the other side of Macy's where you can't see the Cheesecake Factory. Overall, I am not a fan of this Macy's. It's mostly because of the staff. Some of them are too nosy and chatty, and others are just incredibly slow. And the fact that one woman wanted to make a sale so bad that she dragged me all over the place looking at stuff that absolutely didn't fit what I asked for really irked me. And all the shoes are tasteless and plain - and expensive too! The floor reps in those men departments could also be a bit friendlier. So today at Macy's I had a shocking experience. I was expecting a Nice department store in a beautiful mall and what I got was a trash zoo. I feel so bad for the employees and the clothing department because they are completely understaffed and overwhelmed and doing their hardest but the management doesn't seem to care about people going in there. I ordered online many items that I needed to try on (bras) to get the right one that fits well. Due to Covid, I limit my in person shopping. After spending $250.00 I tried on the items and then went on Thursday, April 8, 2021 TO THE STORE to do my returns and get my credit. ($188.00) Well, I thought that was that until I still hadn't had the money put back into my account. (I used a debit card). I have called over and over to get help and I cannot. I am put on hold for 27 minutes, then 17 minutes, and they hope I hang up. What they are telling me is that they have 7-10 days to put the money back into my account!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL????? NO WHERE when you shop online does it tell you they keep your money for that long?!?!?!? I can go to Venmo, or PayPal and immediately send or refund money and it goes into your account immediately, 24/7!! BUT Macy's is KEEPING OUR MONEY and USING OUR MONEY to make INTEREST on while holding it!!!! I can go to TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Walmart, etc., and NOT have them hold my money and they immediately refund to your account. This is a horrible business practice and I KNOW they WILL go out of business. Trust me, I worked in Business Analysis for Dun & Bradstreet. This store is a bit more expensive than other stores in the mall but the quality of the items is definitely worth it. Also they have coupons available online so discounts are definitely available. I also like that they have a price scanner in the fitting room so you can check the price right away after trying on the item. My boyfriend bought a ring from this store two weeks ago exactly to propose to me and he notice that the center stone was moving so he wanted to return it but they told him that because he removed the tag (he still has the tag just took it off the ring) he couldn't return unless he bought a 300 dollar warranty to return the ring and he wouldn't get those 300 dollars back. I applied about 3 times and each time they still gave me an interview only to do the same thing over and over again and NOT call back or even email to indicate if I was able to fill the position or not. Made a return with the tags still on the items and unused, Ora the sales associate who completed my return checked my items like the items were hers. She then took my receipt and circled the items I returned and the date, who does that anymore? The system will not allow you to return the same item twice. I had an item on my receipt that I had returned previously and she marked that one off too. Her return process is too slow. Believe me, Macy's has nothing that I can't get at a better price and better quality. Ora the sales associate was also a bit rude to a young lady who only spoke Spanish.
