I once liked shopping in this store. I've bought a few jackets, some slacks and some shoes in the past. Now the service is so poor I don't any longer. It isn't small things either. I needed to "refresh" some of my suites with new shirts and ties. We are attending our daughter's "white coat ceremony" and will be taking photos. Reluctantly came in with my wife. Tariq came over and greeted us and listened to what it was we needed. I was reluctant because I thought he would just try to sell me a new suit and up sell me with a bunch of stuff I didn't need. However to my surprise he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and had some excellent ideas. He even looked over the items on clearance to see if something on sale would work. When I realized how economical everything was, I went ahead and bought an additional shirt, tie, and socks I had not planned on purchasing. Terrible service...after years of buying clothes at this location, just made the last purchase. - missed delivery dates for alterations. - after a problem with alterations, which I understood, the fix was to place me at the back of the line. They were justify as acceptable. You would think, we are trying to get this right so we'll prioritize. - inconsistent on wearing a mask or not. - staff addressing me from across the store, was unprofessional and highly disrespectful. - even inconsistent info what you can buy online and not for return. Due to an extremely bad custom suit experience at a different establishment, I was forced into a "Hail Mary" situation regarding a suit for my Daughter's wedding. With only one week to the day, I made one last desperate attempt to find a suit for the ceremony and stepped into the Jos. A. Bank store in Cinco Ranch. I'm pleased to say they delivered and then some on one of their Reserve custom suits. This was all thanks to two very capable ladies: Miss Tammy and Miss Madison. These two ladies are the epitome of professionalism and customer service. Add to that, they were both an absolute pleasure to deal with given their wonderful personalities. Miss Tammy made sure that all of the measurements and modifications addressed my desired attributes in the suit and it turned out perfect. Miss Madison knew the urgency of my situation and rode herd on the order and kept me abreast of the progress. I just can't thank these ladies enough. If you want to look sharp and thoroughly enjoy a suit purchase experience you owe it to yourself to go to the Cinco Ranch store in Katy, TX and ask specifically for these ladies. Went on Saturday be buy some clothes, at 10:24am the store was still closed. 2 employees were also waiting in the hot sun to get inside. One employee stated he called 3 different people. They make finding the right suit and items easy and they're not pushy with their sales tactics. Their staff is knowledgeable about what goes together and they help tremendously! I realize you get what you pay for but this location really knows how to underwhelm you. I'm travel/fly frequently, am tough on my business attire, had an upcoming conference when a JAB suit sale caught my eye. I purchased two suits in my size (found out you had to purchase online for the sale) and had them sent to this location to be fitted/altered. While there I came to realize the store may not make much money except for the alterations, but I also know that when you purchase two suits, full price alterations, plus a tux rental for an upcoming fundraiser and your total spend is over $1300.00 you shouldn't be treated like a red-headed stepchild. And, it wasn't just me - it was apparent that all in the store were being helped with minimal effort and zero enthusiasm. After being ensured there would be no problem having my alterations done on time (13 days after fitting), I showed up at 2PM the day of to pick up my suits only to be told they wouldn't be ready until the following week. I asked for the manager, explained I was leaving town the next day for a conference (the main reason I bought the suits) who said maybe he could ship them to me. I said no way I needed them TODAY. I came back around 7 PM, the suits were ready (one set of suit pants plain, one cuffed despite ordering both cuffed). No one said they were sorry for the inconvenience, they appreciated my business, come back soon, kiss my ass or anything else - they just pointed at the suits and walked away. I get better customer service at a Walmart. Avoid this store or you'll wish you did. read more

My husband spent 30 minutes waiting to be helped here. He asked for assistance 3 times in that 30 minutes and ended up leaving and was never helped. Don't waste your time here. Maybe he didn't have the right look as he wasn't flaunting his Rolex trying to be helped. This franchise needs to be closed. read more

I'm not sure what led to the negative feedback from others, I've been in this Jos. A. Bank store several times and each time have been very impressed with the service that I've received. The wait time has always been reasonable and the staff has always been great to deal with. Several times I've ordered items online and either had the wrong fit, it wasn't what I thought, etc. and each time was able to go to the store where I was able to exchange my items for what I wanted, even when the online purchase was at a sale price. Last night when I went Jimmy was a huge help in choosing the right cut of suit and helping me know what was available. My experience at this store has been so much better than that at MW's or other similar stores. I'd highly recommend it. read more

Just got out of the store with my husband. I dont understand the bad reviews. We were helped by Katrina and John who did a terriffic job finding the right suit for my husband. They went great lenghts in finding the right tie and the right shirt for his suit. We got everything hubby needed and we will back for sure. Ask for John when you shop there. If you would like to deal with incompetency, this is the right place to go. I bought a suit and got tailored for it. They said it would be ready March 31st, I showed up on April 3rd and they didn't have my suit. They were very inarticulate and unconvincing with their phrasing and kept making deflated promises to me about getting my suit, but how could I trust them when they "promised" to get me my suit on the original date. DONT SHOP HERE! They don't engage with their customers. When I walked in there, no one greeted me or asked what I was looking for, I had to go to them and one worker reluctantly helped me but then passed on the duty to my original salesman who is the very person who couldn't track my suit. read more

We had a terrible experience trying to rent suits at Men's Warehouse in Katy. We decided to try Jos. A. Bank out of desperation, and boy I am glad we did. When we walked in we were greeted by Tariq Jilani the store manager and he was awesome! He was friendly, funny and engaging. We had three men and a 13 year old boy that had been shopping most of the day and we were all laughing and having a great time. He picked the absolute perfect suit on the very first try and got everyone fitted. They all ended up buying suits from him instead of renting. After a crappy start to our day, Tariq was an absolute pleasure to work with and made suit shopping an absolute enjoyable experience. I buy at this store regularly. I go in with not much time knowing what I need and I ask the sales lady that I wanted to try something on but she wanted me to measure me instead of asking first or just letting me try the clothes. To make matters worse she couldn't find the measuring tape. I proceed to ask another sales person why she needs to measure me if I shop there regularly and I know what I need and his answer was "I don't know". My son picked tuxes to rent for his wedding at Joseph A Banks. When I went in to pay for several family tuxes before the wedding, they were very friendly. After the wedding I was returning my son's tux and I did not realize it needed to be returned Sun. I took it in on Monday and apologized for the day late return. Grier took the bag without saying a word (but was obviously disgusted with me) and looked to see if everything was there. He then said I was going to have to pay a late fee. I said, "I just gave you an order for 13 tuxes at $240/apiece and I have to pay a late fee?" He turned around again w/o saying a word (but still disgusted) and gave me a receipt that showed I had a zero balance. Then he turned his back to me again. Another woman in the store came up to me as I was leaving and said she couldn't believe how he treated me. I will never shop there again! read more

I worked there and saw first-hand how customers are treated. I also know how bad the quality of the clothing is. I also know how badly the alterations are handled-the stores are constantly pushed to increase their tailor revenue. The associates and especially the manager will tell a customer how many alterations are needed when in reality only a fraction of those services are required. The in house tailor is good,but pushed too hard to complete "specials" for certain customers. That is something else, the average customer doesn't understand their clothing is being sent to basically a sweat shop which is off site and will take 2 weeks or longer. The in house tailor will perform minor alterations and those for the "special" customers as I mentioned previously. Management is horrible and divisive unless you are of a certain religion-those individuals are treated much differently. If you complain about the inequality, the manager and his "followers" will make your life miserable. This individual actually brags when he gets people to quit-what a moron! read more

I normally don't go to message boards to report awful service but this time was just too much. I have an upcoming wedding and figured it would be great to get an 3 month early start. I order 8, yes 8 suits from Joseph A Bank in Katy, TX. After 3 weeks of not hearing from the store i figured I better call to check. Well it ends up that the salesman "forgot" to order the suits. Well, this is pretty bad in and of itself, thankful my wedding was not the next week. If I had depended of Joseph A Bank you can guess where I would be. Well I was assured that the suits would be shipped overnight...3 overnights it seems. Out of the 8 suits that we all were fitted 2 were completely the wrong size. Each and every suit needed 70-80 dollars in alterations which to me seems like the suits may have no been sized properly to begin with. Next, the second round of mistakes..The 2 suits that were the wrong size were reorder. Out of these 1 was still wrong. I also want to clarify what I mean by wrong. This is like a 43s for a 42l or a 42s for a 38s. Well lucky for us the 38s was corrected. The 42L however back back as a 48L...That's right 1 suit 3 mistakes. Now to the alternations...granted it has been 2 months now and we still don't have all the suits in or back from the tailor but every suit we have tried on that has been altered has been wrong again. Many of the alterations that were in fact "wrong" were actually not done at all, as admitted by the sales person. I could see this mistake happening here or there but every suit, this sounds like stealing from the customer and if they don't catch it even better...free money. Now I have paid a lot of money to have these done and waited far far far longer then I should have to get them back and THE WORK HAS NOT BEEN DONE. I have now paid out thousands of dollars to Joseph A Bank and we are about 1/4 of the way complete on the order(this is giving them credit for the correct alterations). I'm 3 weeks from my wedding without a single completed suit and I've dealt with 2 months of mistake after mistake. The store I'm dealing has not even offered to expedite the tailoring and I'm being told I have to wait 2 weeks "like everyone else". After 2 months of mistakes, 3 weeks seems very plausible for them to continue disappoint. I absolutely would not recommend this company to anyone for any reason. This is an awful way to conduct business and I hope this message reaches people before they make the same mistake I did. read more
