The employees are TOP notch!! The reason for this one star review is the temperature of the store. It is so Incredibly hot in there, it is impossible to try on clothes without it feeling like you are trying to take off a wet bathing suit in the shower! Insanely Hot! This is my favorite location. The manager and all the staff were beyond helpful. They took great care of us and helped me with an online purchase that didn't fit. The store had great displays and plenty of dressing rooms so I didn't have to wait. The store was organized and divided well so I could navigate the seasonal and specific styles. I love that they have expanded the new in store sizes. I'm so happy to have this location so I don't have to drive all the way to Clear Lake ! read more

I feel like every time I come to this location, the manager is always talking crap to another coworker about one of their coworkers or some sort of drama going on. There are a few girls that work here that are very pleasant and helpful though...so, I guess that slightly makes up for that. But still, not professional. Overall, I feel like this Torrid is so cramped. I don't feel like I can really ever see what exactly they have. It's almost overwhelming and that leads me to purchasing very little every time I come. Plus, everything always seems so picked over. On a positive note, I will say that their clearance section is normally very organized and that if you are local to the Sugar Land area, the convenience is nice. I still prefer the Houston Galleria store over all Torrid stores. read more

Oh my gosh, the ladies who work here are what make this the best store ever! Starting from the manager down to the part time sales reps, they are ALL so friendly and helpful. The store is always neat and clean, always orderly. The sales reps really do care about your apperance and give you honest opinions. An unbelievable exchange with Ashley, the assistant manager. I ordered 2 items online on Jan. 17th. I called Feb 4th inquiring about my order because I had yet to receive an email about my order and checked online where all it said was that it was shipped. I do not recall who I spoke with, but I was told there was no package for me. Over a month has passed when I remembered about my package and called customer service, informing me that the package had been delivered to the store on the 20th of Jan., 3 days after I initially ordered it. I was confused as to why I was told there was no package there for me when I called the first time and proceeded to call the store again to ask about my package. After being put on hold for a considerable amount of time, I was told my package was there. My intention was to pick up the package the day I was told it was there. Well life happens and I was rear-ended and now no longer have a vehicle to pick up said package. I get a call today notifying me that if I do not pick up my package tmrw they will cancel my order. In that moment I became upset, explaining my situation and immediately became irritated when I was being lectured about store policy and being audited and things that were not my fault because someone did not know how to look properly for a package I inquired about over two weeks after I placed my order, when they had really received it 3 days after the order had been placed. What became even more irritating was the fact that the assistant manager tried to cover her back saying that she remembered she spoke to me the first time I initially called asking about my package and telling me it was there, when that is absolutely false. I was ready disappointed in this experience because I love torrid, and loved when they brought a store to sugar land, well after this exchange, it's discouraged me from ever returning to the store again. read more

So I will update my review a little. I saw online that they were selling Hello Kitty designs and really wanted to check them out! Unfortunately, they don't carry the Hello Kitty line in the stores but the woman who seemed like the manager suggested I have buy it online AT TORRID and have it sent to the store. This way I get my buy one get one 30% (I was buying another shirt in store that day) and I save the shipping cost by having it sent to the store. Awesome! My husband paid as a gift to me. The salesperson said they would call or email me when the Hello Kitty top came in the store. That was about 3 to 4 weeks ago and I haven't received any call or email. I finally called yesterday and they said that it had arrived a while back under my husband's name. So....I guess they never attempted to call or whatever. I'm not really sure what happened. I'm just a little sad because the weather is starting to cool down (hello random cold front!) and I wanted to wear my Hello Kitty tank top for summer weather. read more
