Came here for a birthday toy, selections was very limited, the shelf was almost empty with hardly anything to choose (didn't buy anything) I thought because of the area and surrounding store this was going to be a good location but I didn't leave with anything. Before leaving, I decided to use the restroom with my 2 kids and dude, they were disgusting, all 5 restrooms were full of hanging around. Like wow, I get it that's the customers fault but like come one someone needs to clean it. And if the workers don't, hire a cleaning crew for the restroom stalls, I had to flush one like 5 times to get clean enough to just pee in it. don't recommend. Aweful experience. I have been shopping at this store for over a decade and have spent thousands of dollars there. I am a member but I will never step foot back in this store. I bought a suitcase that broke when I took it off the baggage claim at IAH Airport. It has a little less than 50 lbs, and they would not refund or give me store credit. They said because I used it, they cannot refund it. Duh! How unreasonable is that. How else do you think it broke, because I USED IT. The very first time too. I bought it a month ago this week for a business trip because my last luggage I bought from Burlington lasted 10 years and the wheels started wearing down. Now they won't be fair. Be careful what you buy and if it is malfunctioned or is damage, they will not return it is you happed to use it. Well how the HELL else are you going to know if it damaged. This store really is not that much cheaper than Ross, TJ Max or other stores as such. This place is going to loose business treating their excellent customers this way. It gets pretty cold in winter, even in Houston, and you'll need a coat... so to prevent the Brrrrr... come to Brrrrr-lington. This is a decent Burlington selection, and we've come in here once or twice lately. They usually have something Barbi wants, but not so much in terms of coats which is what I expect from a Burlington, so don't come here looking for that, compared to other Brrrr stores. This Burlington is such an embarrassment to the sugar land community... this dirty, it's has these odd smells of perfumes. The home decor area is very poor conditions why even labor gold decor $24.00 if the items are bend and unbalanced. At least the guy in the from entrance said "hi welcome to Burlington" but the set up and ambiance of this store is just sad. They should just close this store and built in another store...like another HOMEGOODS or TJ MAX. I would not recommend this place. read more

This Burlington location is a disaster. Once in the store I could not believe how dirty this store is. There are shoes thrown everywhere the merchandise has stains and interesting smells especially in the toy section. The home section has so much merchandise on the floor how is it even sellable when everyone is walking all over it. How is a store this messy when it only has about 10 customers! NOW on to the employees. The "manager" Anna is extremely rude and has a horrible attitude, she threw my items in a bag almost destroying a rare Disney find ! and likes to tell anyone of color what to do. How is it that all of the African American employees have to work on the floor putting clothes back and cleaning up after everyone (and when I asked her why she sent one African American employee to the floor when he was about to ring me up she states "I am the supervisor so I tell him what to do") but her and her sidekick with the man bun get to have fun at the front of the store ringing customers! I've been to this location twice. The first time I was shocked how unkept the store was, but it was a weekend, so I figured they must have had a lot of traffic and not enough employees. I visited for a second time on a weekday. The store is literally in shambles. How embarrassing for the company! I walked around, didn't see one thing that I wanted. Left again empty handed. Burlington, my memory of it is that it was supposed to be selling coats? However, I do not see a lot of coats here. In fact, entering it seem to give me the impression it is a discount department store like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Ross, that sells a little bit of everything at a discounted price. This location, opened since 2017, doesn't seem to get a whole lot of business. In fact, its busiest time seem to be when the store first opened (being one of the first large store opened in the University Common) and was giving away free umbrellas. After that, the store is usually pretty empty, even on weekends. To me that's actually a good thing, means that I don't actually have to fight with the crowds to browse items and check out. But doesn't mean the same thing for the store. The items I can find in the store, I can usually find in the alternatives listed above. But this being the closest location to where I live, has the convenience factor. I do find the store more pleasant to shop than its competitors because it is newer, and are better organized. Being the store with the largest footprint in University Commons, and if the crowd on the weekends is any indication, I wonder how long it can stay open. Best of luck to it. read more

Upon arrival, this definitely isn't your typical Burlington. Seemed more like a Marshall's. If possible, visits a different department. 2/5 selection. Nothing special. Rude staff, towards me and others. Noticed a lady had lost her phone and she was told it wasn't their problem. Burlington is one of those discount department stores that sells a little bit of everything. You can find clothing for all ages, bath towels and accessories, bed linens, kitchen gadgets, kids' toys and even pet supplies. In other words, you can find most everything here for an affordable price. The store is huge and laid out according to departments. The clothing selection seems to have all sizes but do check the sizing on the tag of the clothing itself since the size on the hanger and the size on the clothing tag are often not matched. Even though the sizes are designated by signs you'll find that the sizes are often placed here or there and not necessarily where they belong. This could be frustrating if you're short on time but if you're just browsing leisurely then no big deal. I found a nice black T-Shirt (always a good basic wardrobe staple) and a pair of jeans. Both were good quality without any irregularities but I did notice that some of the clothing had a few minor flaws so you'll want to check over anything you're interested in buying. I like the fact that the dressing rooms are monitored and after you are finished trying on clothing you hand it to an employee who then places it on a rack for another employee to take back to the floor. This eliminates clothing strewn dressing rooms and is much more organized. If you like kitchen gadgets you'll find many here that are brand name and quality like Pyrex and Kitchen Aid. There's also a huge assortment of seasonal decor in kitchen towels, table runners, place mats, etc. Speaking of seasonal decor, you'll find a good stock of it in the home goods department. It's worth checking out if you want a few festive items for decorating your home without spending a bunch. The store is clean and well kept. Again, just be sure to check over any item you're interested in purchasing because some do have flaws but overall the quality is good and you're sure to find something you like. read more

This was my first time going to this location and I must say I will NEVER return and I would definitely recommend to others to visit other locations. If I could give zero stars I would. First off, this location was very lacking bc the option selection was slim to none and then when I finally found the items I wanted I had to wait 25 minutes in the checkout line because the store had only 3 people working the registers out of 6 registers, with 2 employees just hanging out, talking and laughing behind the registers but not bothering to work the register. Then when I finally got to the register, the clerk tries to stuff my gift box in a shopping bag it barelyyyy fits in to and to top it off she tries to stuff a glass candle inside the already EXTREMELY TIGHT bag, to the point where I literally have to tell her to place the **GLASS** candle in a separate bag. Then I ask for a gift receipt for 2 of the items, the clerk tells me ok in acknowledgement then completely forgets and tries to act like I never said anything literally one minute later because I only purchased 3 items. How you can forget that fast, I have no clue. Not to mention it's one thing to forget and it's another thing to act like I'm lying by saying I never told you about it. So she has to call her manager and I try to take the opportunity to let the manager know about the substandard service I was receiving from the clerk and then I realized where the clerk had learned her attitude! The manager was horrible. She didn't even bother to acknowledge that I was even speaking. 35 minutes later I finally get to leave the store and boy can I tell you I will NEVERRRR go back to that location. Customers are clearly buying gifts for the special people in their life so for the clerk to be so uncaring and lazy, I can't understand that. Get another job if you hate your life that much. I just cannot get on board with a company who not only employs clerks that treat customers and the items they are paying good money for so poorly, but also employs managers who clearly have WORSE service skills than the clerks! Needles to say it was my first and LAST time I will ever be visiting that location. And based on how they employ their workers I don't think I'd ever shop at a Burlington's again.
